That seems like a decent idea actually. I'm at work right now so I'll set one up afterward!
Thank you! I've been using everyone else's sheets as inspiration!
I know, right? I got a lot to live up to
So question, has Tyberia had any wars previous to Asgard's occupation?
EDIT: Also I might've missed this but how long has Asgard taken over Tyberia for?
Haven't heard from you in a while, are you still brainstorming a different character for this RP?
Ilya Scarborough"A war can change with a single bullet."
Name: Ilya Scarborough
Age: 94 in Human years
Race: Elf
Personality: Ilya is a quiet, reserved individual who usually speaks with a tired voice. This can come across as being rude to some but the matter of the fact is… he is just that tired. However, he is as reliable as they come and is an elf of their word. Out in the field, his silent nature conveys a steely determination to see his objective through, and cold calculations much like a machine. Ilya’s mind is always looking to find the most efficient, effective way to achieve his objective… being personal is neither efficient nor effective to him. However, if you can catch a quiet moment with him, then he may be more open to conversation.
Backstory: Ilya is a Tiberian, born and bred. His parents had both lived in the city for most of their lives, Ilya’s Mother being an accomplished Manasmith and his father a high-ranking officer in the Tiberian Military. During his childhood, Ilya’s father would take him on regular hunting trips in the elven woods. This would be the start of Ilya’s training in marksmanship and would become a major part of him throughout life. Even at an early age, Ilya displayed incredible talent when operating a rifle. While his Mother would’ve preferred an arguably safer life as a Manasmith, Ilya adored the life his father lead much more and would enlist in the Tiberian Military as soon as he was able to.
Ilya passed training with flying colors, showcasing exemplary skill in marksmanship, scouting and reconnaissance. This fast-tracked a young Ilya straight into sniper school where his talent was fine-tuned and polished into a truly terrifying skillset. It seemed like barely any time had passed, and already Ilya was being deployed with his sniper rifle in hand. For the first few years, Ilya was posted at the borders of Tyberia, being sure to safeguard the state from a slew of potential enemies and invaders. While there was not many conflicts, Ilya showed efficiency in taking down any threats that came under the scope of his rifle. This, as well as coupled with his quiet nature, earned him the nickname “The Wall’s Last Whisper.” However, he was simply referred to as “Whisper” to his allies. Very rarely was he deployed beyond the wall but his training afforded him the knowledge he needed to combat enemies in a variety of environments and weather. However nothing beat experience.
However, his duties were changed when the Lord Tyrant came into power thirty years ago. Ilya’s sniper was pointed inwards upon Tyberia’s people and he went from a watchful eye of the border guard to a mysterious assassin. At first, Ilya refused to co-operate but his father had retired from frontline duties due to injuries sustained on a secret mission, so his family made easy bargaining chips to the new regime. Reluctantly, Ilya swallowed his pride and further underwent training in CQC, Stealth and Assassinations. He learnt how to quickly take down unaware enemies, but his true talent always shined from afar with his sniper rifle. When the Tyberian Revolution began, Ilya was one of the first to join and used his intel to assist the first revolutionaries put Marcus Walden in power as well as using his new skills against the people who gave them to him in the first place.
Ilya was quick to get back to his post at the wall, and he was welcomed back but there were few that looked at him with different eyes. Those who knew what he did under the regime. Time passed on, and Ilya continued his duty as “The Whisper” until Asgard came. Prepared to fight off the invaders, his heart sank as the orders to surrender came down from command. Ilya gathered his belongings and was about to find his parents to flee Tyberia but they refused. Ilya’s parents, despite his Father’s injuries and Mother’s lack of combat experience, saw themselves to the protests and riots against Asgard’s occupation. They became the first to go.
Ilya mourned the death of his parents, swearing that he would not let Tyrants rule him again. He deserted the army and disappeared without a trace. Now, with rumours of a new revolution on the wind, the Whisper returns to the light so he may help the revolutionaries from the shadows.
Skills and Abilities:
Accomplished Sniper – Ilya has had many years with his sniper rifle and knows the inner workings of it like the back of his hand. He wields his rifle as if it was an extension of himself. He can take down targets up to 800 metres with ease, however he has one confirmed kill that broke 1000 metres. His patience and dedication means that he can commit to staying in a single spot for hours at a time, no matter what the elements are, so he can take the perfect shot.
Adept Scout – Ilya has great skill in remaining undetected while scoping out prospective battlefields or high value targets. Watching from afar, Ilya can recognise points of entries, number of hostiles, defences and vantage points he can utilise. He can sketch a map from memory and has learnt how to traverse over different environments so he can reach the spots he needs to so he may fulfil his duties.
Professional Assassin – Sometimes you must get up close and personal to achieve your objective. Ilya uses the element of surprise to perform physical takedowns and can do this in both a lethal and non-lethal fashion. However, if the fight becomes more head on then Ilya would begin to have troubles.
Journeyman Gunsmith – While his expertise is in bolt rifles, Ilya can use his basic training to perform maintenance on a variety of bolt type weaponry. He is not versed in fully automatic or mana type weaponry and he can not perform complex repairs or upgrades.
Novice Manasmith – Ilya only remembers his brief lessons his Mother taught him. This is mostly due to his Elven heritage that he has any sort attunement to Mana but it is very entry level.
Equipment:
Silent Rose – Ilya’s most treasured possession. Silent Rose is a Bolt Rifle with an effective range of 800m with a detachable 3.5x scope. It can fit five bullets into a fixed magazine that is loaded individually. It has been handled with the utmost care.
Thorn – Ilya’s combat knife which he always keeps on hand, even while sleeping. Also taken care of, it saw a lot of use in the Tyrant’s Reign.
Binocular goggles – Ilya’s scouting Binoculars. Usually hanging around his neck or on his head when deployed, it is his most effective tool when scoping out a target. It has variable zoom up to 10x and was created by the talented Winston Wicklowe.
