Eric frowned at Faye for a second, jaw clenched. But then he sighed an 'okay' and stretched his right foot out for a clearer view. He could still bend the ankle (though it hurt) - the reporter at least knew enough to know that was a good sign. This was usually the type of thing he would "walk off." Eric felt a bit uncomfortable to be babied like this and tried not to look at Faye. He turned his attention to Emily instead.
"Oh, okay, I'll do what you need," he replied in a quieter voice than before. "I don't want to scare any Pokemon. I'll take whatever path is necessary to stay away from them."
The black-haired man briefly looked out at the ranch. It seemed pretty large and well-maintained, at least from what he could see. But this snapshot wasn't enough to really tell how well a place was run, how well the Pokemon were treated. Still, Eric had seen much worse, and this place didn't look newsworthy enough to pique particular interest.
"What kinds of people adopt these Pokemon?" Eric inquired. "How can you be certain that they're going to good homes, as you claim?"
