You are a member of the Arcona, a Murane-class freighter given to your captain, Zana Merneeks a few galactic years back. The ship isn't much, and is in dire need of upgrades, but it gets the job done, surprisingly, for a young crew out of their mind and eager to explore what the universe has to offer.
Whilst hanging around a rather popular cantina, your captain and the rest of the crew happen to overhear a rumor that might just change everything for all of you. Phendryl Aaldennek, the crown princess of the Aaldennek dynasty, is looking for something—Kucarroan ore, a rare metal only found on the planet of Kucarro. However, Kucarro had been destroyed eons ago in a galactic war, making it impossible to find any more material other than what had already been mined.
Knowing this, many smugglers have scoffed at the thought of chasing after "ghost metal", no matter how much a price the princess puts on it. But not Zana, a descendant of an old Kucarroan clan. Despite what people tell her, Zana believes the planet still exists—and with her ancient star map, she may just be right.
