Sir Talavar answers Brutrumukk's first question, his tone now grave, "What I have to inform my Queen with haste: Prismeer has fallen! The Hourglass Coven used an artifact called Iggwilv's Cauldron to freeze time in the palace, trapping the true Archfey Ruler of this domain, Zybilna, inside! After that, well, the Hourglass Coven did as they pleased and split Prismeer amongst themselves,"

He then answers Brutrumukk's second question, "As for your second question, Sir, neglecting the three rules of conduct could lead to retribution done against you by even this land itself,"

Aurora had been distracted trying to recover any of the arrow she had loosed against the giant snakes. Hearing the name Zybilna drew her attention as it had been less than a day since the owners of the carnival had mentioned their patron. Drawing closer to the caged being reaches out to grab the cage. "Did you say Zybilna? How long ago did this coven trap her?" This information started to give more reason as to why the Misters had not heard from their patron in a long time. It may also explain the disappearances at the carnival.

Aurora successfully recovers all three arrows she fired at the snake.
Sir Talavar answers her question with a shake of his head, "I'm afraid I don't know how long the Hourglass Coven have been in control, Milady,"

He then looks intently at Aurora and he asks her, "Wait, You look familiar. May I ask your name?"

Aurora looked at sir Talarvar curiously. "I am Aurora Malister. Have we met before? I would think I'd remember meeting a being such as yourself. Perhaps if you passed through Aglarond with one of many mages that travel through we may have met. I would expect that I would still remember meeting you. She stows the three arrows back in her quiver and starts to take the string off her bow.

At the name, Sir Talavar snapped his fingers once in clear realization after hearing her name. He couldn't help but exclaim, "Aha!" while snapping his fingers.

He answers Aurora, "We haven't met personally, Lady Aurora. But, I have met your sister: Lady Daebella Malister! She joined the Summer Court a short time ago, and together we journeyed here to meet with Zybilna. Unfortunately, we got separated upon reaching the plane. I think she's in a different section of Prismeer,"

As the small dragon states that Daebella was here Rory nearly dropped her bow. It had been years since she has last spoken to her younger sister, and to learn she was here surprising. Rory thought that her and Xander leaving home would have caused her parents to not let the others get to far from their sight. Then again they may have sent someone with her to make sure she didn't cause the Malister name anymore disgrace.

"Oh... I uh.. I would have thought she would still be in Aglarond with our parents. By chance was there anyone else with her? When she came and joined the summer court that is." The elven rogue asked with a slight nervous tone. She knew she would need to help her sister out of whatever situation she was in now. If she had a companion from home with her, Rory would need to be careful so word was less likely to get back to her parents about where she was.

Sir Talavar tilts his head and answers Aurora's question, "No. She was alone when she came to the Summer Court and spoke with my Queen. She was quite eloquent and well-mannered,"

"I'm sorry..." Jub said, holding up a claw. "I think we need to back up a moment." He turned to Aurora. "He just said your sister is now a member of the Summer Court. As in, the fey Summer Court." He paused, taking a moment to consider this information. "So, is your sister a fey warlock or..." Then he realised something else, something the dragon had said just now. "Wait, he called your sister Lady. As in like, a title." His eyes suddenly widened, as if he was putting all the pieces together at last.

"Oh my gods... your sister is an archfey! And so are you!" He pointed at Aurora. "I'm right, aren't I?"

A sigh of relief escaped the eveln woman's lips as Sir Talarvar stated Daebella arrived alone. Bell would likely not tell their parents till well after Aurora was well away from where Daebella last knew. Tension returned some to Rory when Jub interjected asking about Daebella. At first he seemed to be thinking that she was a warlock in service to a fey. That could be true although last Rory knew her sister was studying magic through music, how some bards were able to use words and song to manipulate the weave. The goblin's quick assumption that Bell and Rory were archfey left the elf speechless.

"Well you are close in that in a way she has a title. Niether of us are an archfey. Though last I knew my sister was studying how bards and use their voice and instruments to manipulate the weave. She could have made a pact with one of the fey of the summer court though. It has been several years since I've last talked to her."

Jub the Peculiar

"Hmph. That's exactly what an archfey in disguise would say," Jub muttered. "And you're telling me, we all end up at the same weird fairy carnival together, get sucked into another dimension, and your sister-" He pointed at Aurora again. "-who you claim you haven't seen in years, just happens to be here?" He shook his head. "I don't buy that. That seems like too much of a coincidence for me. Like really, what are the odds?" As if suddenly realising something, he then quickly turned and pointed over to Zavakri. "Wait, no, don't actually answer that! That was a rhetorical question!"

The continued assumption that she was an archfey confused Aurora even more. "You do remember that I lost something at the carnival as well. It was a ring that belonged to my family and I had lost decades ago at the carnival. The only reason why I was at the carnival was I had felt drawn to it. I'm not sure how my sister having joined the fey summer court and Sir Talarvar referring to her as Lady makes her and I both archfey. Believe what you will but neither I or Daebella are an archfey."

The elf turned back to the caged dragon. "Daebella had always been well mannered and well spoken, more so then our older sister. Hopefully she is not to far from where we are. Some of the local denizens seem more... troubling than I would have thought."

While everyone else was busy talking to Sir Talavar, Brutrumukk refocused on gathering up bramble branches. As the conversation with the faerie dragon continued, Brutrumukk piled up his assembled bramble branches in preparation for the cookout he was about to commence. "Alright you lot, I reckon I'm ready to cook." Brutrumukk called out to his companions. "Who's up fer some bugbear style fried snake?"

"Uh, well..." as appetizing as bugbear fried snake sounded the half-elf politely shook his head and tamped down his compulsion to say a few rather colorful comments on the topic although he was no stranger to eating whatever to survive he was not inclined to do so if he had a choice "I think I shall just eat my rations, for now at least." he added with a slight awkward guffaw.

"Ser," Gabriel nodded to the faerie dragon "Would you deign to share a tale to a swordsman in return for a bit of food?" he was curious about the caged dragon, a supposed noble knight and fascinated by him to say the least.

"I would love to hear of these tenets you live by and of a genteel knight such as yourself!"

Turning to face the bugbear, Aurora looked at the chucks of snake that were near the pile of bramble the large goblinoid had gathered. The idea of eating snake at this moment was not appealing to the elf. "Not right now Brut. Perhaps later if you can prep it for travel and later consumption."

Rory looked for a spot to sit that was not on the swampy ground while the group waited for Brutrumukk to finish his cooking. While waiting she started think more on the matter that her sister was here, well at least close to here. Hopefully she was not on danger from this coven that had taken over.

Jub's eyes narrowed as he continued to stare directly at Aurora. He then did a 'I'm keeping an eye on you' motion before turning his attention towards Brutrumukk and the snake he was attempting to make into lunch. The goblin considered for a moment. "You know, I've eaten a lot of weird things in my time," he said. "But snake has never been one of them." He shrugged. "Doesn't sound the most appetizing, but I'll give it a try. Seems foolish to waste meat, especially considering we don't know when we'll see civilization again."

"...You know what, deal me in, Bugbear." She calls out to Brut. "I've never had au naturale Bugbear cookin'. Gotta be better than Rirvudd's."

She had been studying the bugbear for some time, watching his words and actions and how they framed the encounter with the faerie dragon knight. His words had given her much to think on, and her mind had gotten so swept up in the tide of information that she had needed to make notes rather than bother engaging in the discussion. She took a heavy seat beside Bob, idly caressing the snail's shell, as she ran the numbers. She decided to speak up.

"I've been rather zealous in my, erm..Excitement. I don't have too much power left in me, but I'm hardly down for the count. I suspect we'll be fine, but I'm officially in 'emergency only' mode when it comes to the spellcraft at the moment." she elucidates to the group. "I can do math all day, but real math takes a lot of effort. The world doesn't like it when you fiddle with its equations like I do, but things always balance out in the end."

Her gaze was on Aurora; she knew what it was like to be stuck in your head, and was aiming her babble to try and keep the woman grounded.

Brutrumukk

"Alrighty then, three orders o' bugbear style fried snake comin' right up!" Brutrumukk declared as he took out his mess kit and readied the cooking pan before turning to Jub. "Booyagh, I'll be needin' yer 'elp to make enough fer three. Light the fire an' be ready to do whatever else I tell ya to do." With that said, Brutrumukk pulled out his handaxe and went to work on the dead constrictor.

The bugbear started by beheading the snake and storing its head inside a blood-stained sack that hung from the left hand side of his belt. Then he used his handaxe to shave away the scales to reveal the meat underneath. Brutrumukk then hacked off enough meat to feed himself plus two other people, placed it all in the cooking pan, held the cooking pan over the fire, and began the process of cooking.

Provided he receives advantage, Brutrumukk rolls a 19 to cook enough bits of giant constrictor snake for three people.

"Oh sure!" Jub rubbed his hands together before gesturing towards the fire, using Prestidigitation to light it. He then glanced at Brutrumukk expectantly, waiting for the bugbear's further instruction.

Sir Talavar seemed to be at a loss of words when Jub came to the conclusion that Aurora and her sister were actually archfey. He seemed to remain silent out of being polite while Aurora and Jub bantered over their origins.

When Gabriel offered to share his rations for a tale in return, Sir Talavar answered, "Of course. I would be delighted to share my tales of daring-do, with you!"

Brutrumukk, with Jub's help, is able to cook the giant snake. The cooked giant snake is like chicken in texture and taste. While it is well-cooked and tasty on its own, it could do with spices that you don't really have access to right now.

During the meal break, Sir Talavar does share a tale of how he faced the terrifying Werewolf of Bryn Shandar once and soundly defeated him!

He also tells you more about the rules of Prismeer...

"The Rule of Hospitality: When a friend, an enemy, or a stranger enters your home, you are expected to be gracious and accommodating to them until such time as they prove, by their words or actions, undeserving of such hospitality.

The Rule of Ownership: You must not steal from a friend, an enemy, or a stranger. To take something that doesn't belong to you without the rightful owner's permission is a crime and an unforgivable breach of etiquette.

The Rule of Reciprocity: When a friend, an enemy, or a stranger offers you a gift, you are obliged to accept it and offer something of comparable value (be it a gift or a service) in return. Such reciprocation need not happen immediately."

With Zybilna in charge, the rules were straightforward. Few dared to break those rules, but those who do, often disappear without a trace. Under the new rule however...

"Now...the Coven believes strongly in Hospitality and Reciprocity. But, Ownership isn't as straightforward now. The Coven believes that Prismeer, and everything in it, is theirs now. So, if anything is stolen from someone, it wouldn't matter. It's still theirs. And that makes stealing anything from them dangerous too,"

"Food's ready! Take it if you want it!" Brutrumukk called out before helping himself to his own portion. As he waited for the fried snake on his plate to cool, Brutrumukk turned to Sir Talavar and spoke. "You mentioned that the land itself punishes folks what break the rules 'ere, yeah?" The bugbear said. "What exactly does the land do when it punishes rule breakers?"
