I've played a kenku who looked like that after being caught bribing guards in Barovia to release my friend from the stockade. Ah good memories...Then he was dragged to a bloody smear tied to a horse as it ran through the streets. Them Barovians are hardcore.

I remember turning lvl 3 as a Ranger and getting my animal companion. I was a goblin and chose a Giant Wolf Spider because I could have it be my mount but first combat it was one shotted D:

I think the GM didn't like the idea of a goblin just climbing up whatever obstacle got in the way.
