Also, gonna be real, part of the reason I chose spider as a companion was so that once Jub learns the Enlarge/Reduce spell, I can make Eighteyes a giant spider for similiar reasons xP Then I actually read up on the Enlarge/Reduce spell and realised, since she's classified as 'Tiny', she'd only become 'Small' and it doesn't stack so... while her being a size larger would be terrifying, it's not going to be quite so dramatic as I planned.

tbf, I can imagine Jub having the exact same misconceptions about how the spell works so that'll be fun to play out

that being said, it doesn't matter anymore though, because Jub is now pals with Brutrumukk. Once he learns that Enlarge/Reduce spell, he's turning his new best friend into godzilla and no one can stop him

It might increase it by another 5 feet. It may also increase is carry size from large to huge. Then again the few instances I've seen enlarge used it didn't seem to add to the targets melee range.

That being said, a L A R G E Bugbear is definitely not something anyone wants to run into. Buggers are already surprisingly sneaky for their sizes; making them bigger just makes their stealth more startling.

In my Sunday real-world D&D games, I have an NPC monster in it who's a Bugbear. He wields a specialized pair of axes on chains, allowing him to swing them like whips; I also give him the PC Bugbear reach, so he's swinging his axes 15 feet of melee threat range. He's also a mounted warrior, riding a Dire Aurochs. So yeah, I have some measure of terrifying bugbear stories meself.
