Quick Insight: This roleplay is going to be based on crime dramas along with actual inspiration from our reality. The stories will be guided by the GM (me) and the team that is willing to hop onto this investigation, experience the horrors, and figure out the end to the situation. Warning!!! This roleplay will not be for anyone under the age of 18 and it is highly recommended that people who have triggers and sensitivities do not join this roleplay for we will cover the whole 9-yards.
Rules
⚀ Listen to all standing site rules: I feel like this should be self-explanatory, but I always put it just in case. Please follow them and respect the staff of RPG.
⚁ No Metagaming: Metagaming, godmoding, whatever you want to call it is not allowed. This is when a person takes OOC discussions to help themselves in the roleplay or creates a perfect character. Please do not do these things since we will be playing regular humans on a heavy-hearted career path.
⚂ Replies: Replies will be required to be one-paragraph or 5+ sentences. To keep this roleplay up and going; I will require that everyone at least replies weekly or biweekly. Exemptions to the paragraph rules, so these rules can be cut in characters are in the conference room or situational (short topic scenes).
⚃ Ideas and final decisions: If you have an idea and really want to implement it, please talk to me. We can try to figure out your short story/case scene without many issues. Though I have to say it might not go the way you want or it can, depending on what you want that is. You have to remember even if it is guided to go the way you want (ending to catch the person or not) we have characters with natural errors and a GM who makes a final decision- this means things will never go as planned.
⚄ Consequences: Every action has consequences so make sure you know what you are doing. If your character shoots someone, if co-workers fall romantically in love, if people argue at work, and I could go on, but I won't. Actions can equal consequences, so make sure you are prepared for the situation you have put your character and yourself in. This is a roleplay in a world at least similar to ours and that means a lot of rules.
⚅ Enjoy yourself: Please have fun, that is what roleplaying is all about! If you are not having fun, talk to me. We can try to figure something out and never be scared to leave if we need to. I understand that serious, drama, and horrific roleplay's like this sound like a good idea, and sometimes it doesn't suit everyone's boat.
Warning Rule: Please do not post graphic images/content. I understand that we are in a crime drama roleplay, but others on the site do not wish to see the things that we want to even if it's fake. Everything should be written out in detail not shown through any other form of content.
However, you can do pictures that reference places. For example, if someone died in a street alley. You can put a picture of a street alley at night or in the day to set a scene with descriptions of what happened. You do not need to have a picture with a bloody body in an alleyway to set a scene.
You can put whatever you want in your character sheet. Down below are what is required in a character sheet for this roleplay.
As for face claims, please use real people.
If you have any topics that could be deemed sensitive, please, put them in a hider with a warning just so passerby's and site rules don't kill us.
All character sheets will be asked to be posted in the OOC for review before being moved over/placed into the character tab. Please and thank you.
Overall plot: The plot will change per case taken up by the team. Mainly I will be guiding and creating these plots. Though others can if they wish. Plots will not end unless the case is solved or the team agrees they cannot do anymore for the time being. Sometimes you have boring plots you can solve and other times you have intense grizzly plots that you have to give up on and come back later.
Upon decision there will be downtimes in between plots. Aka. People want to go on vacation, have a few days off, or have time-skips happen. Those will be circumstantial and agreed upon.
