This Hogwart's RP takes place in a slightly altered setting. Depending on interest, it may or may not be an au where Harry Potter/Voldemort didn't exist, or our rp takes place in the distant future after! Personally, I didn't read Cursed Child so I wasn't gonna implement the lore much. I just like the idea of wizard school. Characters will be Students or young aurors-in-training sent to the school to investigate the main plot. So while your characters don't have to be involved with the plot and just be slice-of-life wizards, options will always be there. They won't be trapped on campus too-- I plan that Hogsmeade is available at all times so after classes people can go. I plan for the House Cup to be won with challenges/tasks like in the triwizard tournament, so characters will volunteer for challenges and duels for points and clues about Pandora's Box.
Your character can be the child of infamous dark wizards trying to clear their family's reputation, a muggle-born discovered late trying to navigate this crazy world, a Weasely, a young auror-in-training who just graduated now back at Hogwarts for some sleuthing, etc.
It's as much of a sandbox RP as one with a storyline. It'll be meant to guide players or just give a basis to bringing their characters together. The storyline will then become a forefront or just occasional news/event of misfortune for characters. Everything serves the development of characters and interacting!
THE STORYLINE:There's a new mystery in the legendary school of Hogwarts. The general plot overview is the characters form this sort of troupe/group to get to the bottom of something strange happening in Hogwarts. There is an outbreak of sickness and small dastardly creatures in the school inconveniencing the characters as coming out of an old relic Pandora's box. Where does that new DADA teacher go every night? More problems are surely to come before they're fixed. Along with getting through their classes, training, and the woes of growing up, perhaps they'll get to the bottom of what started all these problems in Hogwarts?
And to wrap it up, if this takes off it's my first roleplay I run on the forum, but I've staffed rps on other forum sites with sitewide plots before .3./
