Friendly * Morbid * Intelligent * Naive * Brave * Gullible
Sexuality: Bisexual
Relationship Status: In a relationship with Andy Drummond
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Personality: Zarina isn't exactly your typical girl when it comes to the way that her mind works. She is a smart individual who will do what she can to help others accomplish their goals, but sometimes her kindness is taken advantage of by people, as she is typically gullible when it comes to the way things work. She'll fall for most things that people tell her, no matter how absurd they are. Zari is friendly towards just about everyone that she meets, and will be nice to anyone and everyone, no matter who they are. She always gives others the benefit of the doubt, even if they've tricked her in the past.
Her curiosity can sometimes take a strange turn, as she'll sometimes make the occasional comment that could only be described as morbid. She's curious as to how the human body works and won't hesitate to ask weird (or sometimes gross) questions to help her curiosity. Also, her knowledge of random facts relating to death or how to kill someone is not exactly a very good sign. Because of her age, Zarina is a bit naive in the way the world works, despite everything that happens relating to mutants, she will try her best to look at the bright side. She remains a brave individual who will fight for those close to her, or who she considers to be friends/allies no matter the cost to her.

How did you discover your powers: Zari considering the fact that where she grew up it took a little while to discover her powers over technology. It came to be shown when she was about 9, and it was only because she was in her mother's little engineering lab that she had set up in their home. Much like her mother, Zarina had an aptitude for machines and engineering, so she was helping her mother out building a few machines, when suddenly one of the robots started up on it's own. Her mother was confused, but Zari said that the robot needed to turn off, when all of a sudden, it did, as if responding to her command. She eventually learned that she understood what machines were saying, everything about them, it was a strange feeling.
General History: Zarina is the only child of Raynor Baldursen and Theresa Sparks (born as Lana Banner) on Earth 257 in the new Asgardian homeland of New Asgard up in Norway. She knew growing up that her parents had a bit of a complicated history that involved traveling to another reality or something like that. She never truly asked about it though, figuring that if they wanted to tell her about it, that they would. Though her life on Earth 257 wasn't exactly easy, considering the world that she lived in, and nothing would really change that, or so she thought anyway, but little did she know the life that fate had in store for her.
New Asgard had been settled by the Asgardians and several others from around the Nine Realms, and unfortunately many of this resulted in several not caring much for their life on Earth and trying to cause the fall of the Nine Realms in order to bring in the resurrection and new golden age. Might is the rule of the land, as if you are strong enough to do something, you can. The place is an untamed wild card of sorts with vikings and gods mixing together, and the country brings in most of it's wealth and such just by raiding other countries, it wasn't exactly something she really cared much for.
She grew up fairly close with her parents, her mother namely over her shared interest in machinery and circuits, and her father due to him teaching her fighting skills and telling her stories of her grandparents and what life was like back when Asgard was around. Zari loved hearing stories of the splendor of Asgard and the way things used to be, before everything came crashing down, resulting in the deaths of her grandparents Baldur and Nanna. Though the world that they lived in was not an ideal one, considering how things ran in New Asgard, but she did the best that she could, and was more then willing to trust others around her.
Her powers revealed themselves when she was 9 years old, but that didn't change much, because thanks to her mother, there was no shortage of electronics for her to mess with. Unfortunately for her, her powers were somewhat out of control in a way, though many speculated she might be able to control a lot of the technology on the planet when she's older, but right now, since she was so young, it took a lot of effort for her to do anything on a large scale, but she could do smaller things without too much of an effort, and that was enough for her to know easily what to do.
When she was 10 years old, she ended up being selected to train to become a Valkyrie, learning sword play and their ways relating to taking the souls to Valhalla and the like. It was an honor for her, and she did the best that she could to uphold their values and purpose in her training, however that sort of lifestyle wasn't meant to last. One day, she got a visit from the Norns, and that caused her to take a leave of absence from the Valkyries, as it was something important and it could not wait. She didn't really tell her parents about it, just telling them she had to go somewhere on a mission that could not wait.
Granddaughter of the faded light and dead spring flowers,
To save thyself thou shall run through sand to where time begins again,
Thou must beware Rome's priestess, dark and dour.
Alone to perish in Genosha's glen,
To Waves or Staff the world must fall,
Legacy of the Wanderer, you must save us all.
Those were not kind words, but she did know a few things about it from some digging, and knew that she had to go back to the past, but not just to the past, but to another reality; the reality that her mother grew up in. She knew that her mother had a device for reality hopping, as she had friends in the reality dubbed Earth - 666 and would occasionally visit them. Taking the device, she used it to travel back to that world, before she modified the device and used it to travel to the past, landing in the year 2021, ironically the year that she had been born. Zari landed in Washington DC, having switched into standard Earth clothes before, as opposed to her armor, as she was fairly certain that the armor would stand out, so she left it at home. However she wasn't entirely alone, bringing along her robotic eyeball and robotic head in her bag (Mr. Eyeball and Mr. Jaws), to help her out a bit. She wasn't too sure what to think about the prophecy, but she knew that this was the place she needed to be.
Eventually, she landed in the year 2021, and wound up as a part of the Mutant Underground. Zari didn't exactly always mention to the group where she was from or mention anything like that, she just let them for a while assume that she was just a homeless kid with a weird eyeball floating around her. This adventure ended up leading her to Genosha, which is where she found out what the prophecy meant, and along with others took down the Roman Priestess Selene.
Afterwards, she went back home to her proper timeline and reality, dragging a new friend along with her, and to her parents, it had only really been an hour since they had last seen her, even though for Zari it had been a lot longer. To say that her father was a bit mad over what happened was a bit of an understatement, but after a little while, he managed to calm down over the whole situation (probably thanks to her mother's help). It wasn't until 2 months later that Zari ended up traveling back to Earth-666 in the present day in order to attend Avengers Academy. She did end up learning a few more things from the Valkyrie before she went, but now she was set to learn how to be an actual hero.
Proposed Arc: - For her that's easy, she's still considered to just be in training and isn't a full fledged Valkyrie, I think it would be fun to do that sort of thing for her eventually.
- She really should get the Asgardian super strength at some point too.
Character Quote: "Did you know that blood can spray up to 2 meters when the carotid artery is severed. It is a very efficient kill stroke!"
Favorite Song: Taylor Swift - A Place in This WorldAnything Else: Still don't really have a favorite Marvel teen hero, so another one from DC it is then, this time we'll go with Wonder Girl
