I made her poisonous instead of venomous very deliberately (or, made to resemble something that is poisonous, I don't think she actually is). Because her abrasive nature is typically in the service of defense, not offense. She doesn't attack needlessly. As hot headed as she can seem, she(usually) only directs it at those she deems deserving of it, which is why she's a little fucked up about how she treated Eckehart, in hindsight.
There's negative aspects too, like exactly what just happened; she's wary of the intentions of others, and reluctant to be vulnerable.
