Name: Republic of Brasil
Leader: President Evelyn Vera Alaverez
From 1917 until the end of the war in 1925, Brazil fought against the central powers via its navy in the Atlantic Ocean. Brazils largest and oldest company was also established during this time, Otero Arms & Armor.
In 1925, The Great War ended and Brazil begins to pull back to the home shores. Brazil decides to maintain a strong influence around South America with its Navy returning home . A decision to build the economy and military was set after the end of the war to make sure Brazil would be ready for future conflicts.
In 1930, drugs began making their way into Brazil from across neighboring countries primarily Columbia. 10 years of drug trafficking had occurred before the Brazilian Government finally could no longer look the opposite direction and was forced to put resources into stopping the increase in drugs. During this time a bid from the military was put out to find a company that would equip the new men and women who would fight the drug war. Otero Arms and Armor had won the bid, sliding by the Calvo Weapons Corporation.
In 1940, the government answered the drug situation with creating a National Intelligence and S.W.A.T. Agency called Garra who was equipped with the contract Otero had. This agencies mission is to work domestically and to operate behind or on neighboring borders. The Garra would decrease the drugs being hauled over the borders of Brazil and would later be a key reason to why Brazil would wish establish the SAC.
In 1956, the Garra were having issues with keeping track of all operations and the agency had split into so many sub units that there was no organization even if the units and agency were doing their job. In order to organize and create an even more effective way of conducting activities, the agency was split. The Garra would conduct behind the bordering countries and right on the borders of Brazil. The split agency would be called the Brazilian Security Force. A military organization designed to keep the peace across Brazils most populated cities and towns. Another bid was sent out to equip the Brazilian Security Force, OAA shot for the chance as well at this contract but was in fact beat out by Calvo Weapons Corporation, this placed them back on the drawing board.
1960, the economy of Brazil is beginning to rise as the drugs and crime have begun to fall. Brazil takes to a zero tolerance policy when it comes to breaking the law. Although some would see it as ruthless, Brazil sees it as a necessary action in deterring and halting drug lords and criminals alike. Check points are many throughout Brazil, Brazils borders are constantly watched, and so are the cities within. Here, however there is a growing middle class with new jobs arising from expanding businesses.
In 1975, an investigation of a drug lord had a large break through in finding out where a majority of the drugs were coming from. Although it was not a surprise, it was enough evidence to show Brazils case in why something had to be done. The country serving the problems was none other than Columbia. Brazil looked to form the SAC in order to work together in stopping the drugs in Columbia and boosting South Americas Economy as a whole.
In 1976, Brazil started SAC (South American Confederation): A confederation that united South America through a system of alliances and open trade. Through a tentative alliance with Ethiopia, they openly questioned Spain and its expansion into the Ivory Coast, but nothing came of it. Brazil is an economic capitalist nation, but socialist elements have began to gain a political foothold in the country. Brazil, along with other SAC members, launched an operation in Columbia to root out drug lords.
1980, Brazil has elected their new President due to the previous Administrations term ending. President Evelyn Vera Alaverez, born in Rio De Janeiro, the first female President of Brazil , promising to continue the vision of the people.
