Aging but spry American, thicker, more built like traditional individuals who keep their body up instead of body built. But relatively straight to military standard with slightly longer than normal hairstyles. Often found in jackets, flight suits, and with a helmet on at all times. His hair is graying, but with a thicker head of hair and some dye, he at most can be considered a pepper shaker in hair. He looks well for his age, and for the most part is healthy and spry compared to the other older pilots.
Personality: Relatively laid back and chill. Not very stern or stressed, but can be if needed. Open book, and can talk for hours if needed. Can be more father-like to younger pilots, and is usually cooking, or sitting in a plane/lounge area. But overall, he is a relatively cheery individual, happy, constantly moving and he doesn't sit still much. But, he can turn bitter, and almost cynical in a moments notice, with prejudice expelling from him as a dark aura surrounds him should specific topics be brought up. Though he does try to contain it around the younger folk, he also prefers being in a plane compared to talking and debating tactics. he can do that, but he prefers an active lifestyle.
He also can seem distant and lonely; he chose to have the weapons systems rerouted to automation, long distance, or by manual pilot control. This is likely a symptom of his past, the same thing that brings out his bitterness. He tends to keep most of these things in places he seems to feel safe or places he knows he can be alone; this is typically his cock pit and random areas around the base. Possibly a hoarding situation, but nonetheless, he is a strong combat veteran with plenty of experience and wisdom to pass on.
Personal History: Raised in an Army family, he grew into a young pilot at a young age, joining local civil air patrol groups where his family moved around. Eventually, his father got stationed on a base flying the A4, and training other Second/Third-world pilots how to operate the aircraft, he would learn to fly it as well.
When he turned 18, he was accepted into the Army Air Corps if he got a commission or stayed in long enough to become a Warrant Officer. He chose the former and became an officer, attending school under a ROTC in Alabama. He would return to base, have enough signatures to become a pilot, and train for over a year in the F-111 Aardvark, gaining the callsign 'Poptart' after his love for poptarts in flight school, flying it in Desert Storm within the next few years of his life. He flew in every sortie he could, and eventually, after Desert Storm, he was sidelined for other aircraft and their supposed capabilities, though he was still used and trained by other pilots. He would be discharged to become a UPS pilot for several years before 9/11 happened, and he reenlisted in the army, continuing with tactical support and his experience as a heavier plane pilot, the AC-130. He would continue to fly this until the Obama administration when he left the army again under honorable discharge and continued his life as a Southwest pilot until he was brought back to fight against those wishing to coup the United States. He went back into service with reserve planes, one of which was the F-111, which he continues to fly today in primarily multi-role missions.
His life when the war began, and the asteroids hit turned him into a darker version of his older self; his wife and children were killed in the initial moments of the war by an asteroid impact. While he tries to keep a cheerful mood like his old self, he has turned bitter, and for the worse. But, his history after this is standard to most close support, and strategic bombing pilots, though he sometimes has to engage in air-to-air combat with long-range missiles. But, he typically is there on base to train and support other pilots, especially the younger pilots and those who have gone through something in recent times.
