I have a question: how are core-based technologies, such as carriages, powered? Do they run solely on the internal energy of the core? Or do they run on other forms of energy (electricity, internal combustion, etc.)? If the cores provide the power, and the cores have finite power, then are the cores like disposable batteries or rechargeable fuel cells?
Additionally, how accessible are core-based technologies? Are they used in common household appliances? Or are core technologies more expensive and are thus generally not found in residential use?

•Cores are like gems, made out of a unique substance that houses a spiritual energy inside (this will be explained IC). This spiritual energy is what makes the core what it is - fire, lightning, etc. Without that energy, a core just looks like a clear, crystal sphere or the sort. Core slots are made out of a unique metal that can react with the physical crystallized material the core is made of, and as a result of the reaction, let the energy lose. So it isn't electrical, heat powered, etc. It's a chemical reaction between the metal and gem that lets the core's hidden energy loose. I won't go in depth as our Channeler (GrandDM) will be the character we learn about them from. I'll PM him info.

•Cores are like disposable batteries 99% of the time. As the inner energy is used, the core obviously has less and less energy within it, eventually "burning out". The 1% is for people like channelers who can fuse and preserve certain cores.

•Core technologies are everywhere, but are a bit costly. I mean only low class and some low-middle class people live without powering up their life with cores. Fire cores can heat up a fire place better than coal (which exists), lightning cores can power a generator better than a motor (which exists), water cores can be used to efficiently water crops instead of waiting for the rain or wasting time getting freshwater from rivers (which exist). See what I mean? We have basic earth technology, but ALSO cores to make it better. However, most, if not all firearms have cores, which make them much more expensive than regular Earth rifles. Swords are about half and half. Also so far, I'm strictly speaking of elemental cores. Cores like kinetic cores are WAYYYY more expensive than elementals. A kinetic core the size of an egg would probably cost $1000 dollars on Earth and could fuel a single armor's shields for about a month, maybe less. So you see, it also varies core to core. If you ever have a specific core tech you want me to I've you the costs/feasibility of, let me know.

(And yes, lots of house hold appliances use them. Light cores are better than filament light bulbs, for example)

Personality: Victor is a very confident and bold man. He has an inclination to express his competitive edge through both physical contest and intellectual debate. From an early age, people have noted his knack for discerning the truth from another person's lies. He was known for manipulating people's conversations to lead to answers he desired. It was simply in his nature to take charge - whether on the duty or in speech. His natural tendency to assume authority is part of the reason he was given the title of Chief Mercenary in the Golden Mercs. This only served to further his ego and sense of entitlement. Rest assured, he maintains a bright attitude and shows a strong compassion for his allies.

Bio: Victor was born in Thelle, a suburban city near the South Eastern border of Gaia. His parents, Ingrid and Carleo, were on their way back to their hometown of Vantus in Valira, when Ingrid's water broke and the shuttle was forced to execute an emergency landing. Ingrid Esteves, Victor's mother, was close friends with Sergio Black, the father of the current council representative for Gaia. The two had been friends in Vantus for a long time before Sergio left for his political ambitions. His success brought forth an unbelievable fortune, which he cut out a decent portion of specifically for Ingrid and her husband. Because of this, Victor and his younger brother were blessed with an amazing childhood and were able to frequent Sovereign to learn of it's ways.

Victor's family had began in the lower class, but soon, found it's way to the top of Vantus' economy. Using his income from working the farms, Victor traveled to Sovereign at age 15, where he then enlisted in the Y.D.A (Youth Disciplinary Academy) and soared through the ranks due to his amazing physical prowess. Not only that, but he was recognized for his ability to make the optimal decisions in any simulated situation, and was quickly praised for his leadership. At age 16, Victor joined the Golden Mercenaries, graduating from the Y.D.A faster than any known individual. Even in the prestigious Golden Mercenaries, Victor functioned with ease and never ceased to impress his peers. It was in a matter of 6 years - all spent working the HQ and acing assigned contracts - before he was crowned the Chief Mercenary (leader of the entire faction). This was also due to the fact that the previous leader, Martin Byse, was killed by creatures of Arcaran forests. Regardless, Victor instilled a sense of pride and morale in his comrades that was unknown to the mercenaries. He was more than just their leader - he was their brother in arms, their comrade, their hero. He remains the leader to this very day, working alongside his Second in Command brother - Hector Esteves.

ello thought ah may as well throw mah hat into the ring, gonna go ahead and start working on a cs now but i was wondering something about the weapons and cores, and that was if it was possible for a weapon to make use of two core types at once, and if not could you have a weapon that at least holds two different core types

Yes a weapon can use multiple cores, but it makes it much more expensive for each additional core slot. If you mean fusing the abilities of two cores by using them together, that would be really rare, as mixing the energies would cause a very unstable situation for someone that's not a Channeler. But weapons can have multiple cores that can be triggered separately - that's more plausible.

Yes they can force the shit out of people. Basically, when the void gate opens, the kage will escape and quickly begin scouting out a suitable host to survive within. The kages will most likely be in a simple form at that time - a ball of energy that can move and resembles a meteor in the sky. If it so much as touches you, BAM! Bonding time. You have no choice as the Kage's spirit is much stronger than a human's, but at the same time, know that the kages will be seeking individuals that they feel most comfortable binding too, for whatever the reason
