finished the song, allowed a moments pause (which was filled with cheering), so she could catch her breath. She leaned forward and spoke into her mic, her slightly Scottish accent coming out to play.
"Alright lads, lasses," she said, sounding breathless (but in a good way). "I know you all expected more than that, but we've got two more songs, then I need to go say hello to my pal Arty. You dig?" She smiled at the crowd. "You've been great tonight, and you can expect me again in three or four days." Some of the crowd booed, and groaned, but some nodded in understanding.
"Ryva," called Jem. "Are you thinking of the song I'm thinkin' of?" Ryva grinned roguishly and tossed her leather jacket at one of the backstage helpers.
"Oh yeah," she replied. "Let's give em something to dance to." she turned back to the crowd. "And, if you're lucky, you can find me at the Tiny Snowflake of in the park. But after this, it's goodnight, for now. Love ya." She blew kisses and began to play again. Her last two songs
Rosanna finally finished in the shower, she was feeling so fresh! She had no idea how long that April was going to be in the Cafe chatting to that sexy teacher but she needed to hit the high-street as it was already fast approaching 11pm So she got changed into something fairly casual and decided to call a taxi to take her straight to Club LUSH she was moving her shapely hips to the song that Nick Weston had played on the Radio as she pulled on her skirt and strapped her shoes.
"Welll I guess what they sayyy is truuueee....I can never be your woman mmm mmmmm,
Right as she called the cab she took another selfie and uploaded it on to her BookFace page, captioned 'Lush aint ready for me!! ;)'
The taxi pulled up just as she finished her hair, she would be constantly checking it as she came out of her front door, her mirror glued in front of her face. She was feeling great energy she was extra bubbly with the taxi driver who's jaw hit the floor when she stepped in the car.
Club LUSH sir, and on the double I'm sure the whole place is waiting for me! ahh just kidding :P Hey could you put on Shine FM 106.1? They always have the hottest tunes on a Saturday night baby!
The taxi driver was so happy to oblige anything this beautiful young lady said and switched the radio to the station as a classic girl pop song crackled on. Both Rosanna and the Taxi driver turned to each other and shouted I LOVE THIS SONG! at the same time, and sung it all the way to the destination. When she arrived she blew the driver a kiss and headed to the entrance, only to see Arty Grant, the bouncer of the club she had seen him once or twice before, but she was full of energy so she decided to say something, while not making it too obvious she was all but drooling over his biceps.
They don't pay you enough to stand out here all day, maybe you should extend your contract to some of the public, I'm sure there a few girls who wouldn't mind you standing around near their doors...
Rosanna slowly pulled out her membership card and showed it to Arty taking her time while flicking her hair.
Is this gonna be okay Mr Bouncer? or are you gonna have to search me for.....contraband...
Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to come here after all, Jun thought tiredly, sitting at a table with his head in his hands as he watched the crowds of people dance to the music of Ryva Silverstone. Having just gotten back to Shine City after visiting with his parents, he had thought it would be refreshing to stop by his favorite hang-out spot: Club LUSH, but after mingling with the other club-goers for only two hours, he was already thoroughly exhausted. He shifted uncomfortably in his chair. Maybe I should have waited until tomorrow. Riding a bike for nearly three hundred miles definitely makes it harder to dance.
Jun’s green eyes roved across the bustling crowds of flailing limbs and swaying bodies. As tired as he was, he couldn’t help but look for someone to talk to. There were so many faces, so many people he didn’t know, so many opportunities to make some new friends or meet some cute girls. He couldn’t just sit here and wait for the night to end. Who says I have to dance to have fun at a club? He got up from his chair, wincing slightly—yep, bikes really were a literal pain in the ass—and wandering over to the edge of the room where some other people had escaped from the ruckus to chat amongst each other.
Just as Jun was about to approach one interesting little group, though, he heard Ryva’s voice ring out through the speakers. Curious to hear what the singer was saying to her raving fans, he glanced back at the stage in time to catch the last of her announcement before she went on to perform the next song: “And, if you’re lucky, you can find me at the Tiny Snowflake of in the park. But after this, it’s goodnight, for now. Love ya.”
Tiny Snowflake, huh? Jun mused. Now that he thought about it, he was pretty hungry after that road trip from his parents’ house. He looked back at the people milling about at the edge of the club. He was still tempted to join in their conversation, but in the end his empty stomach won the battle. Besides, he could always come back to Club LUSH next time. His stomach wanted food now.
Jun pulled out his cell phone from his pocket to do a quick search for the restaurant on Google Maps—having only lived in Shine City for two years, he hadn’t visited this particular one before—and then headed for the exit, only pausing for a moment to wave to the club bouncer, Arty, before he located his bike in the small parking lot and took off.
--
Luckily, Tiny Snowflake wasn’t ridiculously far from Club LUSH and Jun didn’t have much trouble finding the place. He parked his bike and started towards the front doors of the restaurant, feeling slightly out of place in his casual attire when he entered a fancy, formal-looking room. I probably should have Googled what kind of place this was first… he thought, stuffing his hands into his jean pockets as he looked over the traditional decorations on the walls. Oh well, at least the food smells good.
Okay it was official, someone somewhere had declared it national confuse the hell out of Arty day with out the limbering red head knowing. After helping the little, flashy haired radio personality Nick impress Nori and apparently make a even bigger arse of himself to that blue haired girl, judging by how she was hiding behind the little blonde DJ, another girl arrived flashing one of the VIP membership cards that big bad boss Bearegard gave out, usually to some of the more eye catching people who partyed at LUSH, and asking to be let in. Arty would of had no problem letting the young lady in, it was just the way she asked that caught up the goliath of a man's words. Though it may have been hard to tell a slight blush formed across Arty's cheeks but he quickly willed it away as he cleared his throat and refocused on the girl. "Uh there will be no need fer that lass. He said as he rubbed the back of his neck, trying to ease himself out of this awkward situation. "Just need some ID and yo' should be to 'ead inside." He finished as he held his hand out towards the girl, waiting for a ID. God, I'm goin' to need a stiff drink after tonight. He thought as he tried to picture the next embarrassing situation he was going to face tonight.
Ryva finished singing and bowed, grinning. She them proceeded to help the rest of Fourbidden City pack up for the night, carefully putting her guitar back into its blue velvet-lined case. She pulled on her jacket, thanking the person who had held it, then slung the case across her back and walked out to the van where Moose waited for her. He wined and stuck his head out of the window when he saw her, tail wagging. She laughed and cupped his head.
"Did you miss me, baby?" she crooned, opening the door and clipping the lease to his chain collar. "Are you hungry? Yeah? Come on, let's go say hi to Arty,"-Moose pricked his ears up, he liked Arty-"Then we'll go eat." His tail wagged again, and she stepped back to let him out. She closed the van door, then turned to the boys.
"We're going to say hi to Arty, then go eat at the Tiny Snowflake. Meet us there, Yeah?" She asked. Rixon Grinned.
"Aye, lass," he replied. "We'll be done in a few. I'm going to bring Lucca with me." Ryva smiled and breathed in the night air.
"Alright. See ya there, lads." She walked off to the front of the building, heading for the entrance. Then she stopped when she saw all of the people who had sort of mobbed Arty. She pushed her way through, and made everyone stand back at least three feet, with Moose giving little huffing growls to anyone that got too close-he didn't like crowds.
"Ay, give th' lad some space, people. He may be big enough to manhandle anyone who doesn't follow security guidelines, but he still needs to breathe," Ryva snapped, then turned to him, disregarding the people around them. "Good gods, Arty. looks like ye got your hands full tonight. I swear, ye do no' get paid enough for this." She paused. "Jus' came tae say hi, then me an' Moose are off to eat. But if you need help, we can wait." she offered.
Arty saw the rustling in the crowd and automatically assumed that yet another groan inducing moment was on its way to add to the other embarrassing situations that filled Arty's night. Much to the red head's surprise, and relief, it was Ryva and her fateful hound Moose. He let out a chuckle as Ryva barked, she may have been better at doing that than Moose was, at the crowd that had swarmed him. Arty always liked the Ryva, she reminded him so much of his own mum and sisters with all the fire she had in her. That and he couldn't help but think of home whenever she spoke, he had been wanting to take a trip home for a while now and hearing Ryva's voice only reinforced that. Arty gave the girl a grin before patting her on the shoulder. "Ay good to see yo' again too lass. Hope life 'as been treatin' you right." He said in his usual jolly tone. He then bent down on one knee so he was on level with Moose. "It is good too see yo' too boyo! I still 'ave to get yo' that steak don't I? I promise next time I will get it to yo'." He said as he scratched behind the dogs ear. After a moment Arty stood back up and looked back to Ryva, his grin never breaking. "Bah don't worry bout it lass, I've been through far worse. Just good to see yo' 'aven't forgotten bout lil ol' Arty." He said kiddingly with a warm chuckle.
The evening drew on as 10 pm crept into 11. Shine City looked its most beautiful at night, when the lights were twinkling and colourful, and the city looked like magic.
A lone woman stood in a beautiful kimono as she admired the street lights. She was in Shine City for the premiere of her new film, and thought to spend her time familiarising herself with how it had changed while she was there. Unfortunately, she would have to be gone again someday. Leaving home was always hard, because she had been abroad and her schedule was always unpredictable. It was reaching a point in time where this woman was happy finding a man and settling down, and finally starting a family.
Though she was the only woman in a kimono, she was being keenly watched by about four men in black suits that would have blended into the night without the city lights. They spoke into walkie talkies with soft voices like smooth, quiet purrs. Aoi I was found their presence more discomforting than not. But, they did they job, staying far enough not to draw immediate attention to her but close enough to wave off any desperate fans.
They filed into the restaurant the woman had been eyeing for a little while now, for its Japanese refinement and cultural air. The much beloved Tiny Snowflake. They functioned like a well oiled machine, though at her quiet request, finally allowed the woman some time to breathe. The inside of the restaurant was just as enchanting.
"Hello, miss." the woman gave a serene smile to the blonde waitress in the beautiful kimono, just done serving a couple, Aoi had seen. She spoke softly, though with an evident grace, never letting her composure falter. "What a beautiful restaurant. You look wonderful in that kimono, Miss." Aoi idly stroked the dainty fabric of her own. "Would you help me to a table for one, please?" ...she seemed a little melancholy on this note. It sounded so odd. A table for one. Though it was the truth.
Carefully, she avoided mentioning her name to this point. She wondered if she would be recognised. The men surveying the area most certainly drew more attention than they were worth.
Jake was just finishing his 18th white russian he saw some girl pushing past not only shots girl but nori he instantly got up,grabbed three more white russian's and headed towards the door he walked up to arty ignoring the dog and the rude girl at the door"Arty are you ok out here"He steps in between Ryva and Arty.It was obvious Jake was drunk but he sobered up quick for he wasn't about to let some person push his friends around."looks like someone wasn't taught manners when she was a we pup huh?"Ignoring whatever smart ass or otherwise comment coming from the rude girl he turned to nori and shots girl"you guys ok I'm sorry some people thinks it's ok to do whatever she wants because she's rich and famous but she should also know so am I and I don't give a shit nor do i care for people messing with my friends so maybe she should back off.Oh and also"He turned to arty again ignoring the rude girl and her dog."Here I brought this for you and if beaureguard wants to say anything about it he can talk to this dick(Gesturing to himself) "you need it"He handed two of the white russian's to arty."And by the way this one's for you my lady you looked a little 'thirsty'"He said in a sarcastic tone as he dumped the last one on Ryva.He then stumbled back to the bar, ordered five more and chugged them all one after another for he was royaly pissed if it would have been a guy he would of gotten decked no one pushes his friends 'as he saw it' when he was drunk!!You can guess by now he was feeling really good and he was debating on going up and singing a song or dancing before he got thrown out of the club so he walked up to the stage grabbed his red and black electric guitar, plugged it up to the main stage amp, and grabbed the mic"HEY I WANT ALL THE PUNKS,THE OUTCASTS,THE SNEEKY TEENS.ALL THE RIOTERS AND PYROS AND STRAIGHT OUT FREAKS LIKE ME TO GET ON THE DANCE FLOOR RIGHT NOW.HERE WE GO!!!" Everybody's attention was now at the stage to see what the commosion was and as they realized that it was Jake Vanguard the screaming and camera flashing started. Then Jake took off his jacket and threw it into the crowd and as the people fought over it he put the mic on it's stand and pulled his guitar up,signaled the lights and extras operator, and as the lights all went to red and moved all around the dance floor and sparks shot from the corners of the stage he rocked the crowd to his new song 'RIOT'.
Shizuka put down the book and finished off the last of her glass of milk. She realized she couldn't simply ignore it; it had bothered her for the rest of the day since she heard her name on the radio. She pulled out her laptop and got onto the campus' internal chat server. Although she had been distracted at the time, she was sure her name had come up on the student radio, so she should be able to get her questions answered on the campus chat. After some searching, she found a chatroom for the SASR (Shine Academy Student Radio) fanclub.
otonashis3@sca.edu: Good evening, I had a question about the student radio, I heard my name mentioned. SASRFCAdmin: Was it on Weston's Suggestions? otonashis3@sca.edu: Probably, I think there's been a mistake. SASRFCAdmin: How so?
Shizuka took a deep breath before continuing.
otonashis3@sca.edu: Well, I don't know that I deserve such attention, I'm just a normal student. But that's beside the point, I guess what I'm more worried about is how and where does Mr. Weston get his information? SASRFCAdmin: Couldn't tell you. Maybe you can ask him yourself. otonashis3@sca.edu: How? SASRFCAdmin: Maybe you can find him in the chat. Sometimes he comes into this chatroom to give us fans some love. otonashis3@sca.edu: I see. Thank you for your help. SASRFCAdmin: NP
Shizuka leaned back and considered how far she wanted to pursue this.
“…please take my number...its Weston's suggestion that we should meet up sometime....bye now,” the blue/purple haired boy said, pressing a card into Nori’s hand and giving her a wink before walking away. ’Weston’s suggestion? What does he mean by that?’ Nori pondered, before checking over the card in her hand.
Nick Weston: Shine Academy Radio Host
“No way,” Nori breathed, looking back to where the stranger had been standing. “Th-That was Nick Weston?” The blonde stammered, looking up at Arty before turning back towards the card that was clutched in her hand. “What are the odds? I met my favorite manga artist and the most popular radio host in the city in the same day,” the short girl beamed, tucking the card into her clutch for safe keeping. She did her best to ignore her heart, which had started racing for some reason.
“Speaking of my favorite artist, how are you doing darlin’? You look like you’ve had a lot tonight,” Nori said while turning her head to the side to address Kameyo, careful not to jostle her too much, seeing as how she was now using the tiny DJ as a prop. “Why are you hiding back there? You’re not scared of Arty, are you? I know he’s got muscles like Hercules, but I swear he’s as sweet as pie,” she explained, reaching a hand back and patting the other girl’s bicep in what she hoped was a comforting manner. “Did you want to go back inside or head back home? We probably shouldn’t hold the line up any longer, these people have been waiting hours to get in there and listen to Ryva pla--," Nori stopped as a frisky girl with coffee colored skin brushed by her and walked right up to Arty, saying something about needing to be searched for contraband.
"Excus--," Nori started, only to be interrupted again as Ryva Silverstone barreled past her, dog in tow, pushing the florist back and knocking her roughly into Kameyo. "Urgh," Nori winced, righting herself and shooting a hurt look at the songstress. 'Well, that successfully put an end to my Ryva hero worship,' Nori thought, shaking her head to clear those negative thoughts. Normally, she'd say something, but it was clear that the singer was close friends with Arty, so the DJ bit her tongue for his sake.
"Arty, are you ok out here?" Asked a blonde man that Nori had briefly noticed earlier. He stepped in between Ryva and Arty, disregarding the dog completely. "You guys ok?" the stranger asked, before continuing, "I'm sorry some people thinks it's ok to do whatever she wants." Nori could feel the situation escalating and decided it was best to defuse the situation.
"No harm done," the petite girl said, nodding toward Ryva. "Thanks for your help though," she looked back toward the stranger and gave her very best smile, hoping to show him that no one had actually been hurt and there was no need for violence.
It seemed to work, sort of anyways. The man turned his attention to Arty, gestured at his genitals and dumped a drink on Ryva before walking away. "That man has balls," Nori murmured to herself, before running her hands through her hair and turning back to her roommate. "That's enough excitement for tonight I think. Are you ready to head home, Kameyo?"
Kameyo's eye shot open when Nori was knocked into her. It took her a minute to fully grasp the situation. She nodded at apparent hobo guy as he talked to them. Wow this guy is REALLY drunk. Kame gasped as he dumped the liquid on Ryva and turned promptly around. Nope nope nope nope nope. NOPE. Kame grabbed Nori's hand and softly answered "yeah let's go." The crowd was starting to give her a headache, with no help from the booze. After tonight, she still wasn't sure what to think of this place. All she wanted right now, was to go home.
They hailed a cab, got in and Kameyo slumped back mentally and physically exhausted. She longed for the bright traffic lights to fade away as they drove past. The more she thought about the night, the more she wanted to sink into the seat and disappear. The cab pulled up to their apartment. The cool night air felt amazing on her skin, and the silence felt even better. Kame pulled out the spare keys that she had hidden in her bra and headed up to the door. Kameyo managed to get the door open and find the light switch, which she regretted very much so immediately afterwards.
Kame Crashed on the couch, not particularly caring about being intrusive at this point. Sleep was all she needed right now and damn if she wasn't going to get it. As she started to drift off she ran through her to do list. Food, shopping, cooking, cleaning, cookies. Oh yeah and moving. She felt like today was long, but it had all just begun. Tomorrow held her hope for the future. And then boys and girls is when Kameyo finally passed out on the couch.
Arty let out a chuckle as Ryva barked at the crowd that had swarmed him, and Arty gave the girl a grin before patting her on the shoulder.
Ryva grinned as Moose licked Arty's face. "Aye, we've been doin quite well, Arty ol' lad," she said, and was about to apologize when a man (obviously drunk), came up, and said somethings that were incoherent to her, and spilled his Russian liquor on her. Her face turned red and she swore at him in such a way that she might have spat fire.
"Ye ass! Ye drunk, uncouth, ill-mannered son of a cur!" she was furious. "I was about tae apologize, fer bein' rude tae everyone, ye know. Arty is no' just my friend, aye; he has quite a lot!" She turned to the two girls and bowed to them, her right fist over her heart. "I apologize, lassies. I was only makin' sure this friendly neanderthal, here," she bumped him playfully. "Had space tae breathe. People get trampled in crowds, ye know. i saw it happen, once."
Her face paled slightly as she remembered. Then she brightened and pulled out a silver sharpie. "To further show how sorry I am for my rude behavior, I'll sign anythin' ye want. Except for skin. Skin dries me sharpies out, real quick." She said with a chuckle. "And you can pet Moose, too. he won't bite, unless I tell him to. And I will no' be doin that. ye seem like nice gells tae me. After that, we gotta beat it. it's past Moose's dinner time, and I've got an hour, at least, before I go onstage to dance, then mingle." Her face was tired looking, and somewhat pale.
"Hey, Arty, let me know when you get off, tonight. I've a feeling we both need a stiff drink, and soon." She pinched the bridge of her nose, and Moose leaned against her with a whine. 'Aye,' she thought wearily. 'I'm working too hard, though I love it, but the boys are starting to comment on how tired I am.'
Nick was finally home, still buzzing from the excitement of meeting Nori Haywood in person, not knowing if she would even call him, but still praising himself for having the guts to approach her and speak to her, if only for a second. He considered maybe having a solo tug of war now that Nori was still fresh in his mind, body and all, but decided against it because he would always feel sleepy afterwards and he needed to improve his online ranking on super smash bros. So he booted up the console, and began to play some music from his podcast to go with the game.
He smiled as he nodded his head along and sang Wooooahh, this is the fuckking bessstt!!!...
While he was in the lobby he decided to turn on his computer and noticed that he had a PM message from the Admin of his fanclub chatroom, saying that someone wanted to talk to him.

Nick couldn't help but laugh and contiuned playing his game while occasionally glancing at the computer screen.
Just as Arty was starting to think he had actually reached the end of his troubles for this night more managed to fall directly in his lap. The grin that was planted on his face quickly disappeared when the slightly slurred words of Jake hit his ears. Arty couldn't let out a groan as Jake pushed and stumbled his way in between him and Ryva. This can't be good... Arty thought as he heard Jake begin his small speech about how he always protects his friends and how he hates people who just do what he wants. Normally Arty would of sided with Jake, the guy meant well and usually directed his anger at the right people, but this was a misunderstanding of the largest kind. Arty wanted to try and get a word in, but with both Jake and Ryva's yelling that wasn't going to happen. So the giant doorman simply had to wait and see how this play out, though he was with out a doubt going to jump in if this got physical which it almost did when Jake dumped his drink on Ryva. "Shite..." Arty mumbled as he expected Ryva to jump at Jake, or have Moose attack the poor guy, but luckily Jake made his way back inside before anything got worse. He let out a slight sigh of relief as this seemed to be the end of that little exchange. Arty then pulled out a hand rag from his back pocket and held it out to Ryva. "Sorry bout that Ryva. That was me mate Jake, lad 'as 'is 'eart in the right place. Just bit 'ot 'eaded is all, I don't think the drinks helped either." Arty said as he rubbed the back of his neck. He managed a slight smile at Ryva's comment about a drink, the girl knew exactly what he was thinking. "Ay I agree with yo' there lass. I get off in a 'our, I'll see yo' then and yo' better 'ave the strong stuff ready lass. I want to black out this night." He said with a chuckle. From the corner of his eye Arty couldn't help but notice Nori and the blue haired girl pile into a cab and drive off. Yeah this is defiantly a drinking night... He thought to himself as he remembered what an arse he had been.
"To further show how sorry I am for my rude behavior, I'll sign anythin' ye want. Except for skin. Skin dries me sharpies out, real quick,” Ryva said to Nori and Kameyo with a chuckle. The blonde could tell that the guitar player was genuinely sorry, but it did come off a little conceited. Who said that they wanted an autograph at all?
"And you can pet Moose, too. He won't bite, unless I tell him to. And I will no' be doin that. Ye seem like nice gells tae me. After that, we gotta beat it. It's past Moose's dinner time, and I've got an hour, at least, before I go onstage to dance, then mingle,” the pale girl finished and Nori shifted her gaze back down to the dog. Nori loved dogs above all other pets, but she really didn’t want to mess with this one, seeing as how he had just been growling at her not five minutes ago.
Kameyo chose that moment to grab her hand and whisper, "yeah let's go." The DJ gave a quick nod to her roommate, before saying to Ryva, “Nah, we’re good. Go enjoy your night. You too Arty! Sorry for crowding you while you were working.” Nori started to leave, but turned back around and looked at Arty again, “Oh, and if you see that smug son of a bitch Dangermouse, tell him I’m coming for his job!”
Nori let herself be lead into the cab, which Kameyo did a surprisingly good job of hailing, despite being unbelievably drunk. She crawled in after the other girl and chuckled as the blue haired student relaxed back into her seat. They rode in comfortable silence until they got to Shire Junction, where they piled back out of the cab after Nori paid the driver. Kame fished around her bra to find her keys and opened the door, flipping on the light and collapsing on the couch.
“Too much partying for you, darlin’?” Nori asked, toeing out of her high heels. When her roommate didn’t answer, the blonde glanced over and saw that Kameyo was already passed out. Nori felt a surge of fondness wash over her and went to the hallway closet, retrieving the spare blanket. “Goodnight,” the blonde said after she draped it over Kame’s sleeping form. Then she flicked of the lights and went to the bathroom, where she took a quick shower to wash away the glitter and sweat from the evening. Afterwards she changed into her blue floral nightgown and burrowed under her covers, exhausted. Her last thought before she drifted off was, ‘Nick Weston gave me his number today. How crazy is that?’ ---
Arty then pulled out a hand rag from his back pocket and held it out to Ryva. "Sorry bout that Ryva. That was me mate Jake, lad 'as 'is 'eart in the right place. Just bit 'ot 'eaded is all, I don't think the drinks helped either." Arty said as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Ay I agree with yo' there lass. I get off in a 'our, I'll see yo' then and yo' better 'ave the strong stuff ready lass. I want to black out this night." He said with a chuckle.
Ryva sighed as she took the rag from Arty and watched the two girls go. "Aye, you bet I'll bring it. Between you and me, Arty," she turned to him, all of her previous energy gone. "I don't think I can handle dancing and singing in th' same night." She swiped at her shirt halfheartedly. "To tell you th' truth-I love my fans, and I love this place but I think me an' Moose need a break." She zipped up her jacket and shrugged out of her shirt underneath it, tossing it in the trash can that was nearby. "See ye when we get a drink, mate." She laid her hand on his shoulder for a moment, gave him a thin smile, and headed for the Tiny Snowflake.
Ryva popped her head in and looked at the blond waitress in a kimono. "Excuse me, Miss, but are pets allowed inside? My pup is very well behaved, I swear." If Moose couldn't come in, she'd just go get some fires and some burgers. Forget sitting down-she'd been on her feet all day.
After his new song he decided to do one more for the crowd and for himself. He then thought for a second going through his songs in his head.He then looked to the crowd and spoke into the mic one more time before starting."Hey I got one more for you tonight before I disappear but I got to ask you a question first are there any people here that gave themselves to god and think there going to heaven because of so? You should probably leave LMFAO"He started his song right as he started laughing. After he was done he dropped his stuff at the stage, went straight to the bar ordered a case of there strongest percentage, laid down $500,and put it in his bag.His mind was starting to get the best of him so he walked out the side entrance, not even caring he was still in his Jake Vanguard attire (minus his jacket) he didn't stop for fans or cameras and he soon lost them in an ally then he proceeded to his normal spot in shine park.He sat the case down as he felt around the tree for some loose dirt, when he found it he sat next to it and pulled the cases closer he pulled out the rest of his carton of marlboro black cigarettes out of his bag,lit up a cigarette, and started on his first bottle. As he drank and smoked memories of his father wouldn't leave him alone. He put in his earbuds to blot them out, finished of his first bottle, and a pack of cigs then grabbed another pack, another bottle, and leaned against the tree. As he drank and smoked he faded into his music
While Shizuka was checking her email and keeping up with social media in general, she heard chime, notifying her that someone in the campus chat had mentioned her. Switching back to the tab with the chat, Shizuka saw that activity had exploded in the room, and had to scroll up through several lines of inane banter before she found Nick's message to her. She regretted not signing in with a different name, having opted to let the site use her campus email by default.
otonashis3@sca.edu: <quicknick95> Are you Mr. Weston? I heard my name on the radio today. It was kind of embarassing. I'm curious where you got your information, but I think there's been a mistake. I don't think I'm the kind of person who really deserves mention on you show.
Thinking on it, Shizuka realized that this whole thing was kind of silly, she really should just let it drop since she might be inadvertently drawing even more attention to herself by doing this. She was chatting with a media celebrity after all.
MrsWestonNo1fan: OMFG! YOU SHOULD FEEL HONORED TO BE MENTIONED! INGRATE! NickChick98: Seriously, what's your problem? Even if you're not a fan of Nick, many would kill for that kind of publicity. It's not like Nick ever says anything bad about people.
Shizuka sank back into her seat, regretful of her decision to come into this room. Still, she'd at least give Nick a chance to respond before she considered logging off, going to sleep, and forgetting this ever happened.
Nick was getting his ass handed to him, ever since smash bros included Ryu as a DLC character, there was too many high level SF players in the community and Nick playing as his favorite Luigi, was getting worked over. After losing for the 5th time in a row, he threw his controller against his screen and turned to his computer to see if there was any response, cursing to himself under his breath. ******************************************************************************************************************************************* otonashis3@sca.edu: <quicknick95> Are you Mr. Weston? Oh wow, that's Shizuka, I didnt know she listened to my show, she seemed like she was always focused on studies and nothing else.... Nick muttered under his breath as he went through her pictures, finding himself fixated on certain shots in her maid outfit and feeling his face go hot. ************************************************************************************************************************************** QuickNick95:<otonashis3@sca.edu> hey thanks for the question, I suppose I mentioned you because I see you around campus sometimes, I honestly didn't think you'd be a listener of my show but thanks for tuning in, any info I have said about you has probably come from your student profile which is public on the shine academy student database, I haven't searched anything private about you, and I wouldn't release it even if i did, hope thats okay. (Collab done with the infinitely lovely Miss Tea! @dreamyteatime)
April looked at him, smiling widely. It wasn't a mean smile, it was more of a..."wow-you're -adorable" smile. The cute guy seemed flustered, April thought, but she quickly dismissed that idea. She believed that there was no way that a guy as hot as this would be interested in her...was there? Blinking, April realised that she had been lost in thought. She nodded. "Yes, I'm sorry about that. Rosanna wasn't feeling too well. If she was acting a little strange, that's why."
April was relieved, having covered (if not very well) for Rosanna. Rosanna...she was probably getting ready to go to Club LUSH right now. April was so jealous-she could hardly face another few hours of this shift. Oh well, she thought, at least she had got a chance to talk to this cute guy for once. She hoped that she would make it to club LUSH after this shift.
"I'll get your milk and sugar for you now, Mr..." April trailed off, not knowing the guy's name. She thought that if she was talking to him, she should at least try to get his name.
"She wasn't feeling...well." Shou gulped down the final word harder than he had expected, evidently and ironically more perturbed than even before at her sweet, (was that sympathy?!) calming smile. She was absolutely charming when she smiled. Oh God. Oh God oh God oh God. "That's alright. I'm sure...I'm sure that's why she left early today. Everything was...is fine." he brought his hand to his lips and cleared his throat a little, fingers of his free-hand drumming against the wood of the table as he tried to compose himself. It took a handful of seconds, but there he was, composed as before, and finally, finally, able to return the young woman's smile.
"Matsuoka." he, all too eagerly, filled the waiting gap. "Shou Matsuoka, that is." he paused, "It's nice to finally get a chance to meet you, Miss April." he was finding it less and less like a necessity to glance down at her nametag (And her chest! Gah!) as he continued speaking, conversation flowing more naturally second by second. He brought his hand down, arms folded on the table and the book closed and cradled between them, close to his chest. He leaned a little closer now, looking a little brighter. "...actually, I didn't want to trouble you, I mean...the coffee is fine as it is, don't worry." Maybe he sounded too relieved. He loathed milk in his coffee, after all. "...err, what I mean is, not that I wouldn't appreciate the milk and sugar, but I...you see, I actually like my coffee black, and-" He promptly buried his face in his hands. God was he making a fool of himself. How long had it been, since he'd done this? Had to start over... "...I'm sorry, hah. It's just a disorienting sort of day, Miss April. Though it was wonderful to...finally get a chance to...um. Speak with you, today. I see you around here just before I leave, usually." Curious, he continued, "Are you a student here, at the Shine Academy? When not working, of course. I mean, not that I assumed that you had to be. I...erk."
"Sorry..." he looked up at her again, bashful smile and brown eyes catching the room's warm light. He gave her an apologetic sort of look, though assuming some more confidence, sat a little straighter up.
--
April looked at him, her eyes filled with warmth. Shou, April thought, was very cute and she enjoyed talking to him. She was glad to have the chance to talk to him too. This thought filled April's cheeks with colours and made her smile at him again.
"Don't be sorry," April told him honestly. "And I-I've thought about it..." April looked at the floor, thinking about her parents, and how they had wanted her to get a good further education. These days April found herself thinking about her parents a lot. Every time she saw the Shine Academy leaflet a small pang of guilt was awakened in the back of her mind. April could only imagine how happy her parents would be if she went to Shine Academy. "But I'm not a student there at the moment, Shou." She made sure to use his name, seeing as she'd just learnt it. April paused for a moment...Shou...Shou Matsuoka she'd heard that name before...April almost smacked herself-Matsuoka, he was a professor at Shine Academy! She'd seen his name in the Shine Academy booklet. Come to think of it, she thought she'd heard Rosanna call him a "Professor" before too.
"To tell the truth, Shou, I wouldn't know what to study. I've been considering it for a while but nothing really appeals to me. I'm sure I'll figure it out soon though." It was strange, April thought, the way she could just talk to this guy like he was an old friend. It was refreshing, though.
--
Her warm azure eyes coaxed Shou into a more confident state of mind, and her smile made him bashfully push his glasses further up his nose a little as he looked up at her, noting the colour of her cheeks that matched her bright pink hair.
"You should consider it, April." he caught himself dropping the 'miss', maybe it was the atmosphere of the Mochavine or just her soothing personality, but he felt comfortable around her, enough to finally take a sip of his coffee. He closed his eyes shortly, lips in a content grin, and he leaned back in his chair with the cup now, taking sip after long sip from it. The bitterness was welcoming.
"Maybe a career in Biology?" Here he smirked, though quite unaware that April clicked onto him being a professor. "Medicine, technology...Are you an artistic girl? Fine arts, then? Maybe business, or law, or..." His voice evidently caught in his throat, "...physics."
"I hope you figure it out soon. I...actually, I'm a professor there. I'd love seeing you around." He paused, "A-as a student, of course! Wait, no, I...not as just a student, I..."
"...how about as a friend, April." he ran a hand through his silver mess of hair with a lazy smile. The coffee he had downed always took fifteen minutes at the very least to kick in. It was only then he noticed that the black forest cake remained uneaten where it was on the plate. "Look at that." he mused, even chuckling to himself, "Would a lovely young lady like you care to share some cake with an old man like me?" He laughed a little louder here, he wasn't truly that old but he enjoyed making himself the butt of the joke time and again.
--
April blushed again, her stomach writhing a little nervously. "I'd like to be friends." She told the professor. She'd also really like to share his cake with him...How often, April thought, would she get the opportunity to share cake with a hot teacher?! Still, sitting down to enjoy confections with hot boys when she was meant to be working could land her in some deep trouble with her boss. She bit her lip, contemplating whether she would be able to pull this off. April checked her watch- it wasn't long until her shift ended anyway, and that settled it. "I'd also like to share some cake with you." April grinned at Shou. She hoped she would be able to get away with this, but even if she didn't she knew that Rosanna and her could work together to charm the boss out of trying to punish April.
April plonked herself down on the seat opposite Shou, spreading her skirt out. She popped open the chokingly-tight top button of her waitress blouse and let her pink hair loose from the restricting bun on top of her head. It fell in loose curls caused by the way she had wound up her hair in the bun. "Sorry!" April told Shou, mortified after realising how ignorant she had been. "After I finish my shift I usually just do this," She pointed to her hair, and then her top button, "and it's sort of become second nature. I just do it automatically now!" April told Shou, giggling. It was a slightly nervous giggle, unusual for April as she didn't normally get nervous around boys given her history with them. But...something about Shou just made April a little bit giddy. Maybe it was his age? She knew Shou wasn't old, but she thought that he was definitely older than her. She liked the thought of that, but it did make her a little nervous. She wasn't sure whether Shou actually liked her or just thought she was a silly little girl. April pushed those unnerving thoughts out of her head and met Shou's kind eyes.
--
"Splendid." Shou purred, with a smile that reached his chocolate brown eyes. He rested his cheek in his palm again and let those eyes take April in as she sat herself down just opposite him, and everything seemed to be going well. It would appear he hadn't made things any more awkward than they should have been with his tripping over words and tongue-tiedness, and for that he was glad. That was, until...
Shou's jaw all but dropped when she let her hair out of the bun, and even more so when she undid the top button of her blouse. He swallowed hard and averted her gaze, his cheeks slowly darkening to be the colour of beets. Just one peek wouldn't hurt. No, what are you saying! For god's sake, Shou!
"I...I see. Yes, y-yes, of course." he dragged his mind out of the gutter with a shallow breath, and though his cheeky eyes did stop at the neckline of her shirt for just a second or two, they soon met her eyes, and with his cheeks the red hue they were, he must have looked a lot less like the able professor he had come to be, and more like a nervous schoolboy on his first date with the most popular girl in school. It was no exaggeration. April, with her hair down, was even more strikingly beautiful.
"To us being friends." he declared, tipping the now-empty mug of coffee towards April and gingerly letting his fingers brush against the fork. Gentlemanly as he was, he would let her have the first bite, and the last, without a doubt.
...and though he had to leave just as soon, the feeling of being with this girl left his heart aflutter, though he knew little about her. Perhaps that would be an opportunity to meet her again, and to ask her more.
--
"To being friends," April repeated. She was glad that she had not only got to speak to Shou for once, but they were actually friends now. April looked at the cake, wondering if Shou was allowing her to have the first piece. Assuming he was, April took a small piece of the cake. It was delicious. After swallowing her piece, April pointed to the cake and said "I know I'm biased because I work here, but that cake is REALLY good." April thought she'd had this cake before, but she hadn't liked it that time. How strange, she thought. Maybe her taste buds had just evolved. Or maybe being with Shou just made it sweeter. April had never even been friends with a guy like Shou- he was so... nice. He was such a gentleman, April thought. The guys she'd been with...they were far from Shou. High-school boys in April's school were no gentlemen by a far stretch of the imagination, but April's (many) boyfriends were much worse than that. Slimy, is the word April would retrospectively use. But April knew how to play their game to her advantage. She was so caught up in the "game", and she hurt so many people. She wouldn't dream of hurting people now. Especially not Shou.
After the two had finished the cake, and had a friendly chat, April had finally started to relax. She thought that if her boss hadn't come in yet, he was never going to. Just as April had that thought, he boss walked through the door, his eyes just missing her. "Shhhhhiii--" April turned away from her boss, praying he didn't see her. After he had walked past, she turned to Shou. "I'm so sorry," she told him, "but if I don't go now, my boss will probably kill me so-" she stood up and grabbed her bag that she'd retrieved from the staff room "'till next time, Shou Matsuoka, when I'll definitely get your phone number." She grinned at him before running out the door before her boss spotted her.
Once outside the cafe, she relaxed. She just hoped he would come back to Mochavine sometime soon so they could talk properly. The thought of talking to him again warmed her cheeks. Her head filled with thoughts of Shou Matsuoka and partying at Club LUSH with Rosanna, April made her way back to her house to get changed with a smile on her face.
