Melinda stood close to Alexei as she saw Mr.Winters the innocent. They probably did kill some shapeshifter earlier on. But suddenly she felt Alexei's arm around her as she couldn't help but blush a little. "Hah. Right." she smiled at Alexei and looked back at Jack. "Jack, it's okay.....come on. We have to take him home.." she said trying to calm him down but it seemed that he was a little nervous and shivering. Nothing wrong about that because, Melinda herself was nervous and shivering in the inside. It was all so confusing and just very weird. She turned to Mr.Winters. "Are you okay or something...?" she sighed and looked at the others. "What are we going to do now?"

"Someone take Winters home," Hollow said to Melinda and anyone else that was listening, "And Alexei, if you want to get into Melinda's pants try solving a problem without pulling a gun on someone, it makes you look like less of a d-bag." Hollow then turned to Jake. "Listen, Jake, I need you to tell me, who can do something like that? Is there a villain you know about that can make superpowered clones of others or transform into other people, has super strength and can survive a bullet to the head?" Hollow snapped his fingers in front of Jake's face and gave him a gentle shake to try and focus him on the question. "Anything you can tell me would be helpful."

When Heath walked into the storage room, he was confused. What the hell was Mr Winters doing there... alive? But then he noticed Hollow talking to Jake, mentioning superpowered clones, and everything made sense. Well, sort of. He turned to Alexei and Melinda, noting the fact that Alexei had wrapped his arm around her.
"This day is getting stranger and stranger by the minute."
In his mind, however, he was thinking something completely different... Self loathing was taking over his thoughts. You idiot, vomiting while your team is fighting. Idiot, idiot, idiot. No wonder Alexei hates you. Those were the kinds of thoughts coursing through his mind. Hopefully he didn't let it show.

Alexei's eyes ignored through Hollowfag as he spun the pistol in his hand before putting in back on his belt. He backed off from Melinda; feeling weird, and at the same time, feeling giddy. The lad looked at Jake as he sighed; shapeshifters? Stuff? Not really... Jake wasn't the right guy for the answers, at least not to him.

"Jake already knows how I do stuff, Hollowfag. I think all of you should know as well that I tend to shoot first, and then ask questions later. For a self-proclaimed hero, you've got the brain size of a cockroach, and the intelligence of a dying magpie." Alexei smirked in a cold manner; his eyes not even landing on Hollowfag even once. "Perhaps, Jake isn't the most reliable of sources. If Hollowfag's intelligence is correct, then that villain might have some contact with Winters. As of now, the first source of information we have is Winters himself. It's likely that Winters involved himself with the wrong crowd; he's a lunatic, but he's the closest shit we have to solving this mess." the lad spoke as he approached Winters.

"This man has been scared shitless... He won't be able to talk for a while; perhaps even days. I'm willing to bet that the villain will try to kill Winters to disable us from getting any information out of him." Alexei mumbled; speaking in a cold and monotone manner. "It won't be safe to return him to the pension. We can't risk the safety of the other elders there. We have to house this geezer in here for now." Alexei stood up as he leaned on the wall, beside Winters who was still trembling.

"However, that plan is just up to you people. Either way, both Jake and Winters are in grave danger. They should not be left alone unless required." Alexei shrugged his shoulders as he remembered the destruction that was caused.

Alexei approached Jake; seeing that Hollowfag was gently shaking him... The assassin rolled his eyes as he found no sense in the gentle shaking. Alexei knelt in front of Jake as he pulled out his pistol, and some magazines. Alexei took off his belt as he attached the weapons to its side; he then placed the belt on Jake's lap as he patted Nerdlord's head.

"You did good today, Nerdlord. Batman would be proud; if I ever see him... I'll ask him to sign another deck for you." Alexei smiled while speaking in a warm tone; noting the crumpled cards on the floor. "As for the pistol... Don't hesitate to use it. Shoot anything that might be a threat to you or to Winters. It's lighter than your shotgun, so you can carry it around. Oh yeah, if you have to shoot Hollowfag in a future fight... Please... Do not hesitate to do so." the assassin chuckled as he patted Jake's shoulder.

Alexei knew what he had to do; he had to stop this mystery before it shrouds them in darkness. Nevada has little to no defense when it comes to real villains, and it's better to put out a spark before it turns into a flame.

"Me---.." Alexei stopped as he closed his eyes, and turned to Telefag. "Telefag, come with me. I'm gonna need back-up. We'll try to trace Winters' movements, and if possible, trace the origin of that monster. I'm gonna need to ask Invisigirl and the others to protect these two." Alexei instructed as he grabbed his rifle, and trench knife.

"Well, it's up to you, if you want to come Telefag... However, if we do encounter the same danger, I can't promise us a ride back home." Alexei smiled as he pulled the door open and went outside.

Enki liked the bar. Brewing was as old as crops, as old as Enki and beer always reminded Enki of his daughter-goddess Ninkasi, who had bestowed this gift on mankind. The hymn to her, a recipe for brewing, was the oldest writing in human history.

Easing off the sticky red leather of the barstool he padded softly over to Mr Winter, gently becoming... who would it be?

Mr Winter looked up at him and nothing happened. The deep, primal feeling of kinship that Enki could tap into in all humans, the well from which he had been born was absent in this creature. He recoiled, repelled by the slick alien psyche housed in the human form. Now he reached out, but not to touch as a brother, to hold an enemy at bay.

"Who, what are you!?! You are no kin of mankind, no seed of Sumer! Speak truth abomination!", and Enki's form was suddenly that of the Winged Lion of Sumer and he was angered.

Melinda sighed thinking of what was happening in the situation. Yes it seemed that both Jack and Winters were the innocent and that they needed to protect them. Winters seems to be a nice guy and she felt bad for him, mainly because people now think that her murdered a little girl. Melinda turned to Alexei seeing that he was giving orders which was sexy and it seemed that he was like the leader of the team. "Alright. We can stay here and protect them..." she nodded and said calmly as she noticed Alexei going outside now. Melinda followed after him getting infront of him. It was weird both of them actually talking together. "Ummm becareful.....kay?" She smiled at him leaning forward and a quick kiss on the cheek. "See you." another smile formed in her face as she said softly and calmly and walked back inside. "Alright. I can create a force field around you gu- actually. I dont think no one will attack here."

Alexei stepped out; feeling the wind on his being. For a moment, he was actually grateful for having some great guys on his team. Hollowfag, although he disliked the guy, did a lot today. Crack Druid as well who created some spectacular stunts. The lad didn't really see Enki, but when he saw Winters talking to a random guy who he probably knew; Alexei hoped that it was that person. Telefag was there, but Alexei needed that guy's ability for now. Nerdlord was also brave; Alexei chuckled at seeing Mild's angry face. Who knew the kid was strong enough to be his own man? Finally, Melinda... It's only been a week since they've been in the team, but Alexei felt that he had missed a lot during these times. He hardly knew the girl, but right now, his head was not straight. Whether he liked it or not, what Hollowfag said was true... For some reason, deep inside, he wanted to be the only person that Melinda would look at. Alexei really wanted to remove these feelings, but for some reason, they keep surfacing. He had tried to push everyone away by using harsh words and harsh attitudes in order to cover up his actually fragile nature; of how easily he cares for others... So far it succeeded. Hollowfag, and Telefag hated him... but why Melinda?

That girl... why was she never deterred? She keeps passing every barrier he had established, What was worse, was the fact that with every barrier she broke through... The happier, and more human Alexei turned out to be. He looked at his hands which had touched Melinda, and he remembered the warmth he had felt.

"I want... to hear her voice..." Alexei unconsciously spouted those words as he opened his eyes in surprise. Suddenly, he heard Melinda's voice, actually. "Wow... I must have knocked my head harder than I thought..." the assassin chuckled but he fell silent as Melinda actually appeared in front of him. Alexei tried his best to put on a bored face, but inside, he was shivering. Melinda, apparently, gave him some parting words which was to be careful, and Alexei was about to just nod when the girl rose up, and delivered a peck on his cheek. Melinda left hurriedly as she said: "See you!"

Alexei remained frozen in place as his hand touched the spot where a miracle had happened. "That's unfair. You're going to make me regret doing this." Alexei stammered as he stomped the ground in desperation. "No! Now is not the time to go full retard... Hey, TELEFAG! You comin' or what?!" Alexei shouted to cover up his trembling voice. In the silence that ensued, Alexei walked in circles outside the bar.

"Why do you make me feel?"

Telefag would come... He knew that guy would... He trusted that guy would, and he would wait for him.

Hollow patted Jake on the shoulder and smiled at him. "You did good today, Jake, I'm sorry I questioned you," he said and took a step back, I guess we're all freaking out." He smiled at Jake again and held something out for him, a single signed batman card from the man himself. "I was saving it for your birthday but now seems like a good time too." He smiled at Jake and left the bar, seeing Alexei pacing outside he stopped and watched him for a moment. "Hey, Alexei," he said and crossed his arms, "I just wanted to say you did a good job in there, I would have preferred it if you hadn't pulled a gun on Jake but giving it to him and being nice to him made up for it I think."

Hollow turned and sat on a bench next to the door of the bar and continued speaking. "I know you're going to mock me for coming to talk to you like this, but you should know that nobody on the team hates you, as far as I know anyway. You just make it difficult to approach you and people find it hard to try when they keep getting pushed so for god's sake stop trying to act so cool and just let people get to know you. We all respect you and, for what its worth, I think you'll make a good leader." Hollow stood up and pushed the door of the bar open and stepped inside.

((I know GG asked to slow down on the posting so he could get in but I wanted to throw that in before you and him went off on an adventure and things started getting all actiony again and I wouldn't have the chance for a heart-to-frozen-wasteland with our de facto leader))

Teleporto rushed outside, shaken out of his thoughts by Alexei's yell. Of course he was coming with Alexei. He wasn't about to let his teammates down again. He was going to prove to his team- and himself- that he wasn't useless. He was not useless.

The leaf-shaped gold-bronze head of Enki's spear was pressed against the throat of the the thing masquerading as Winters. There could be no mistake. The other creature had not been Winters and not human, but this creature was just as bogus. Enki cast out with his mind to find the real Winters. Was he still part of the world, was he somewhere?

Jack smiles at the compliments, blushing and staggering from the praise from someone he saw in such a high light. He himself had always believed himself to be a coward, as he'd never been able to chase his dream of being a superhero. He tries to mumble out a reply, but he's barely able to speak, and the shivers he got from nearly shooting winters haven't quite subsided yet. However, eventually he's able to get out a reply, albeit not a very useful one. "There are a whole bunch of villains that can change shape or create clones. It's done to almost every hero at some point." Jake shrugs. However, the he turns, seeing Enki hold his spear to Mr. Wnter's neck. "Woah woah woah! We just decided he was the real guy!"

The creature masquerading as Winters blinks, and then smiles, it's eyes changing to a the yellow eyes of a reptile, a smile coming to it's lips, wholly unfitting of an old man. "It seems I've been found out." The voice emanating from the creature's throat was not that of an old man, but rather a low, hissing sound, as reptillian and inhuman as the eyes of this odd creature. "Well then, it seems I'll be going." The creature jumps backwards away from the spear, moving faster than an ordinary human being should be able to, as it attempts to rush for the exit.

Melinda stood there noticing Enki and Jack talking but suddenly Enki grabbed his spear pointing it towards the real Mr.Winter. "Noo! That's the real one! We must've fought a shapeshifter earlier but this must be the real Mr.Winter. So put your weapo-..." Melinda stopped noticing something weird happening with Mr.Winter "Oh....no..." It wasnt Mr.Winters! IT was some reptile creature now! This day was just getting weirder with this guy! The creature ran to escape but Melinda pushed her hand forward yelling "No!" and creating a force field infront of the creature as he bounced back flying backwards from the exit. "Alexei! Teleporto!" She hoped that they didnt left yet.

Alexei's attention was caught when Hollowfag went outside, and approached him. The assassin stood still as he wondered whether Hollowfag would attack him, because from what he noticed, the two them were in bad blood. However, it caught him by surprise when Hollowfag actually began praising him. The guy was actually telling him that he did a good job, and he'll make a good leader. Furthermore, the guy even knew he was masking his true personality with rude get-up. Hollowfag went back inside as Alexei shivered.

"No, no, no, no, no..." Alexei stammered as he bit his thumb. "Don't be so nice to me... no..." the lad whispered to himself as he saw Telefag arriving outside. "Good to see you here, Telefag. I hope you didn't bump Hollow on your way out; you've always been a clumsy prick." Alexei rolled his eyes as he masked himself once again. "So, you ready? Let's go." Alexei loaded his rifle, and was about to move out when he heard Melinda scream.

"Guess, our mission starts here now, Telefag." Alexei smiled at the guy as his eyes turned red, and inside the bar, he saw Winters bouncing off of Melinda's forcefield. "Telefag, you're the quickest in your team... Should Winters try to escape, I leave you to chase him down." Alexei spoke as he approached the bar exit door. "Cover me, Telefag." Alexei instructed as he barged through the door, and aimed his rifle at Winters.

It seems he was wrong; that was not the real Winters. Alexei looked at Enki, and speculated that the guy must have been responsible for discovering the mess. "Stand down, you bastard... or I swear, I will put a bullet through your head." Alexei aimed his sights on the creature's glowing yellow eyes. Alexei looked at Melinda as he spoke.

"Wherever this creature tries to go, put a forcefield in his direction to prevent him from escaping. However, don't overexert yourself... We(i) don't want you bleeding again." Alexei instructed as he turned to Hollow. "Hollow, protect Nerdlord, and Melinda. We can't have this creature taking one of us hostage. Enki, err, or something, find out what this creature is, and let's destroy this bastard together. Telefag, try to cover everyone in the room... I think your speed is the best among us. Nerdlord, remember what I told you about the pistol? Do it. Crack Druid, as the most versatile in our group, go crazy against this bastard."

Alexei shifted his gaze back to the creature whose hateful eyes were staring at them intently. "Whatever you are... I'm putting you down." Alexei growled as he fired a speeding bullet towards the creature's leg, hoping to incapacitate it.

Hollow entered the bar right as Winters bounced off the forcefield in front of the door, he saw its yellow eyes and cursed himself for believing things could be so simple. He heard Alexei tell him to cover Jake and Melinda and said, "You got it bossman," then reached into his belt pouch, swearing under his breath. He had used all of his steel in the last fight. He reached into his other pocket and pulled out a handful of concrete chips and ate them, his skin rippling as it turned to stone. "Stone will have to do." He said and cracked his knuckles, the sound resembling the grinding sound of stone-on-stone, a small amount of rock-dust falling to the floor from his fist.

Turns out the real Mr Winters wasn't the real Mr Winters, but rather a shapeshifting reptilian creature posing as Winters. 'Mind. Blown.' thought Teleporto as he ran back into the bar, ready to cover and protect any and all of his teammates. Alexei may occasionally be a dick, but Heath began to develop a sort of respect for him. He gave credit where it's due, and Alexei sure knew how to lead a team.

Unsheathing his sword, Teleporto took on a stance, ready for anything.

The shapeshifter crouches low, as it's surrounded, claws extending from the tips of it's fingers. It looks less and less like Mr Winters as time passes on, the disguise no longer necessary, as the creature is covered in scales. It's eyes are cold, shifting from person to person, as it looks for an opening. "And it was going so well, too. Daddy won't be pleased you opened your presents early." The creature smiles, revealing a row of sharp, pointed teeth with serated edges. "This is quite a situation you've put me in. But, I'm nothing if not flexible." He then transforms, his form shifting as colors change, bones morphing to a different position. It becomes taller and more muscular, it's form filling out, and as finally it's features settle, it exactly resembles the Hollow Man, except without the granite skin. "Now, I assume we must talk?"

Alexei cringed as he shook his head. This shit keeps getting weirder as time passes by. Alexei aims his rifle at the creature's head; the creature now had shifted to its true form... A menace covered in scales. The assassin eyed his companions, taking any signs of action. The creature began to speak; revealing its mouth to be infested with jagged teeth which could act as blades. "Really now? Well you can tell your daddy to shove his fist up his ass. We may not be the best team on earth, you serpentine bastard, but one thing is for sure, it was a mistake for your kind to mess with our town." Alexei growled as he returned the cold gaze of the serpent. "I don't normally involve myself in hero work, but your existence threatens my business. We all make mistakes in life, but this one, will be your last." Alexei grinned as he prepared to pull the trigger, however, the creature began to mutate... until it was a living replica of Hollow.

Alexei eyed Hollow; giving him a message to become ready for anything that might happen. "Talk? I don't think so... not while you're not restrained." Alexei replied as he steadied his rifle, and eyed Melinda.

"Melinda, place a field around the serpent... Don't let him escape." Alexei instructed as he turned to Telefag and Hollow. "If Melinda can't hold the field any longer, suppress the serpent." Alexei said as he turned to Jake. "You got any rope around here, Nerdlord? Tell me where, and I'll get it. In the meantime, everyone, keep your eyes on the snake... and kill him, if the need arises."

The shapeshifter slowly cocks it's head. It grows thinner, it's clothes warp, and suddenly, it's like you're looking into a mirror. "Hmmm..... this is quite a nice body. Not as muscular as the other one, but a lot more practised." It's eyes switch to red, asd it whistles. "And it comes with eyesight amplifiers. Now isn't this a treat?" The creature grins once more, as it cocks it's head. "You can't hold me here. I'm Daddy's favorite. But I'll talk. I like talking, it's something I learned when I was still a worm, going through the digestive system of a fat man. Surprisingly not as unpleasant as you might think."

Heath was never his daddy's favourite. Neither was his sister. As a matter of fact, his father hated his children. Beating them, telling them how worthless they are. Heath's motivation for starting this whole superhero shindig was his abuse at the hands of his father. And now some ugly, evil, spoiled reptilian creature was saying how much its "daddy" loved it. How could anyone love such a horrifying thing?
"You'd be surprised how efficient Invisigirl's shields are, reptile. You'd better not try anything stupid when you talk."

Alexei tensed as the reptile morphed into... him! The reptile looked like Alexei... from head to toe. The assassin gritted his teeth as he bit his finger to calm down; this was a huge insult on his part. The lad clenched his fist as he released a really deep sigh. Apparently, the reptile was using his x-ray vision... That fool would be surprised at the side-effects if he took that long.

"A'right... You wanna talk, fat worm? Fine. Let's start with the basics. Who are you? What are you? What is your purpose? Where did you come from?" Alexei spouted a trail of questions as he picked up his rifle again, and aimed it at the fake Alexei. "I won't expect you to answer all of it, but if I see one wrong move... You'll die, and your worthless daddy will receive his favorite's dead corpse in a matchbox." Alexei threatened the scum as Telefag joined in.

"Yeah, what Telefag said is true... Melinda's shields are probably the deadliest things you can encounter in our group, and while Melinda has a kind soul... You'll find no savior in me. Now, start speaking, worm." Alexei spoke in a cold and deep tone; rage evident in his yellow eyes.
