I'd assume even for mechanical soldiers its pointless to get in close when they have a initiator. Even mechanical soldiers don't really seem better than initiators lol. Well it depends really. The anime probably just haven't gotten to the uber super powered mechanical soldiers yet lol.

They seem to be able to create invisible force fields and block the 2nd strongest type of Gastrea, which is recommended to be fought against as a group/squad of Initiator/promoter pairs.

They are still rather inconsistent though. Sometimes they can take some strong attacks without a shield and other times a small frag grenade can almost completely incapacitate Rentaro lol. He is even held down by a few normal humans even though he is pretty strong. Plus we know not all of them can make those barriers. Like I said it really depends. Even Rentaro with his hightened senses wasn't doing to well against Tina.

Sorry I thought you saw the last two episodes. No Tina is basically an initiator that uses guns and drones to spot her target and eliminate them. In close quarters she is about as good as you would expect a initiator to be.

Well you did ask. You probably didn't want me to explain too much, but yeah she isn't a mechanical soldier from what I can see.

Plus the weapons she used isn't really story spoilers. I'll just put a warning in the other post for anyone else who didn't watch it. If she really is a mechanical soldier then that is news to me. Don't worry the things I told you didn't really spoil the entire story of the last two episodes.

lol pretty much. Not much for me to post in IC yet since the introduction is really over yet. Posting as James might not be necessary yet since he isn't a Promoter. Akane is an initiator so she would only be there with Nomura and the others if Kazama took her.

Well Kiri would know they aren't the ones that she was talking about (She's a business woman after all, if she messed up her stock she'd fail miserably.) But if you want them to i don't see why not. Just be aware that means Hizumi and Nozomi will probably be given a different investigation. Though lower XD (add to the confusion i guess), which will tie into the one they had. Just at a different place...probably with Marius or something like that...*ponders* that's just what i whipped up now XD

I still think that the Mechanical Soldiers most be weaker to some extent. If the efficiency comes in and it's not to have a 2 man cell team like that i mean. Of course the inclusion of the concept that it was cruel means to begin with. However, they were used to fight them, so we really can't say anything. Though i think it should be noted the powers actually come from the more parts you have replaced. Like liver stomach and what not i think can be replaced with it. I believe mister smiley mask was like 60%-90% varanium haha

Well I don't know if there is a complete correlation with % of body replacement with varanium or not. I don't plan to super OP my promoter anyway. I believe my main point was that it should be fine for a promoter, especially a mechanical soldier at that, to be facing Gastrea head on.
