James turned and looked at hope, "you know that cut paws off for thievery in certain countries." Hope picked up the bread and swallowed it looking guilty, "Okay I'll remember you," James got licked on the nose, "Fine i forgive you." James turned back to Nessie, "Well thats not very nice." James looked to John, "I'm sure he wont be rude again right?"

When she turned around to ask Alex again he had vanished and she felt her heart break in two. Was this really his greeting to her? To spend less than five minutes with her then to run off. She looked back and continued to smile while she thanked the man and said never mind on the ice cream. Her gentle heart was too sensitive to be left behind. She decided to straighten her shoulders, throw on her alluring smile and walk over to the group of people that had sat at a table. "Uhm. Hello." She said her voice was velvet and inviting while her face was warm and kind while she looked at each of them.

Nessie smiled as he interacted with Hope."s-s-such a s-s-s-softie" she said, blushing and looking down when he spoke to John and nodded "I h-h-h-hope not" she said. She glanced up, "d-d-does hope eat buh-buh-buh-bacon?" She asked holding up a piece of bacon "I'm f-f-full"

She glanced up as someone else joined them and offered a small smile but didn't speak, glancing back down quickly

James nodded, "Yeah she loves it...shes a hog not a dog couldn't you tell?" James started laughing and pet hope softly, thats when someone else walked up and said hello, "Oh hey whats up?" James motioned for her to sit down, he didn't own the table, "You not got anyone to eat with?"

Nyx flinched from the cold shoulder feeling she had gotten from the girl, was everyone going to be this way towards her? She felt her self consciousness swallow her whole, and she wanted to yell out for Alex who was no where to be found. Where was Z? She shook her head as she tried to swallow her tears but her eyes had already began to water. A sensitive soul doesn't belong on earth Nyx. "Thanks, but I'll just.." Her voice cracked enough for her to quickly turn and walk out of the room enough for her to place her back against a wall and droop to the floor to cry in to her knees. "Yes, welcome home Nyx." She sobbed.

James was out of the table like a flash of lightning, in fact he was so fast Hope was the first one to notice, She just stayed next to Nessie. James flew out of the room at top speed and slid into the hallway. He stopped and looked down at the girl crying before simply sitting next to her on the floor, "You wanna talk about it?" His voice was filled with worry and caring something he was begging to use more and more.

"Oh, n-no!" Nessie shot up, following after James "I d-d-didn't mean for t-t-that to happen!" She made to go after the stranger, feeling like a fool. She found her crying in the hall. "Oh! I'm s-s-sorry! Im n-n-n-not g-good with puh-puh-puh-people! I'm really ssssss-sorry" she said desperately, feeling awful.

Mason looked at Hope, "Uhhh.... we should probably follow them." With that he got up and ran out of the dining hall after Nessie and that new guy. He stood behind the two and kind of awkwardly watched.

When Nyx looked up, the gem like effect in her eyes had faded to deep black as if they were to swallow a soul with their darkness. She jumped seeing the faces in fr after her so fully not understanding why they had chased after her so intently. She now felt guilty, as if she had asked for this attention her eyes soon filled up with it's playful galaxies and stars that dazzled in them before as she couldn't help but smile. "I am sorry, I look so foolish. Just after such a long journey I didn't expect this.." she shrugged while she wiped the remaining tears away. "Please do not be sorry. Souls made out of bloomed roses wither like fallen leaves." She smiled though, yet had no energy to pull herself off the floor. Alex... Her heart fell deeper in to her chest. You're not allowed to abandon me. Another tear streamed down her face but she smiled through it.

Niesha frowned, shook her head "n-no I s-shouldn't have acted like t-that" her stutter seemed to get better as she desperately tried to do anything to apologize for her behavior, "I j-just...the h-hello didn't w-want to exit my m-mouth and I d-didn't want to just repeated h o-over and o-over..." She trailed off and looked away

Over and over? She didn't quite understand, she also didn't understand how she spoke but instead of trying to separate it from others she accepted it all of it's own. She ignored the stutters an paid attention to the words alone and felt like there was no reason to single her out just because she sounded different. She laughed under her breath again, and wiped her face again. "I just thought you didn't like me." She blabbed honestly.

James stood up and offered his hand without saying a word, his eyes were a lightning blue as he stood there looking at her. Something inside James was changing, These people were changing him, bringing back the boy who used to fly next to his father, bringing back the boy who used to smile all the time and laugh at everyone's jokes, Bringing back the boy who had once thought that all the elements could belong together...

"N-no. Meeting n-new puh-puh-people is a c-challenge for m-me and I've meet s-so many..." Nessie trailed off, "um. I'm n-n-n-Nessie" she said "and I'm n-n-not making a good impression, am I?"

Nyx took the boy's hand and pushed herself off the ground, her dress draping back down it's length. She then looked at everyone else's wardrobe and realized she may need to purchase new clothes her time here on earth. "Thank you." She gave a warm smile to the boy who had helped her up and then turned to introduce herself to Nessie. "I am Nyx, and well you did just find me crying in the hall so I think it's me not doing a good job." She shrugged gently and reached her hand out to shake Nessie's. "Uhm, is there some where I could get other clothes?"

Nessie shook her head, glancing about. "N-no" she said "I w-would offer s-some of mine b-b-but I t-think they are too s-s-small" she said, "I'm s-s-shorter" she added looking down, shifting awkwardly, glancing up when Mason joined them and giving him a smile.

She brushed back her hair, wishing she could be more outgoing, and that her stutter could disappear. Then these things wouldn't happen. She shifted

She shrugged again, "That's okay, I know Alex will let me wear one of his sweatshirts which fits me like a dress." She giggled, remembering when they were children he would turn his old raggedy sweaters in to a cute dress for her to wear, but it made her frown. She wondered what had really gotten in to Alexander since she had been gone. She looked down at her dress. "I just feel... what's the word? Over decorated?" her head cocked to the side as she smoothed out the sides of her dress.

"I t-t-think y-you can wear anything" Nessie said, with a shrug, "C-c-c-caroline m-mmight have s-s-some clothes that will f-fit you t-though if you r-really w-want t c-change" She aid, with another shrug

"Oh okay thank--" she paused noticing a figure against the wall behind the group. It was Alex, she blinked, her heart felt empty and then angry. "I'm sorry." She said before moving past everyone and making her way over to the corner where the figure stared at the wall. As soon as she reached him, tears filled her eyes. "Why did you leave me? You're not supposed to leave me behind Alexander." She was in mid sob as she spoke, the only person she had known left her in a room of strangers without saying a word.

Alex's eyes snapped up to meet her's, as if he hadn't been aware of her before. His expression was blank, but his eyes were filled with pain. "I didn't w-want to." His voice hiccuped a little, like it had when he was holding back tears as a child. "I just, I just don't think I c-can take it." He only barely had the presence of mind to put up a soundproof water bubble around them. He didn't want the students hearing him. "Nyx, I g-gave up on seeing you again. I ran away from home and lived on the streets. I've broken laws, hurt people, sometimes cruelly." He got to his feet and brought his voice under control. "I've changed. I've killed people Nyx. How can I just pretend everything is alright and look you in the eyes? How can I pretend you won't judge me for my sins, or run away? How do you expect me to smile when I see you, knowing that you'll hate what I've become? I closed my heart so I wouldn't die from the pain of what I did, and you came and broke a hole in that shell. How can I pretend I deserve your smile when I've become a monster?!" He slumped against the wall again, sliding down until his head was between his legs. "You can't save me Nyx, not again. You're twenty years too late."

Her body felt cold, he broke most of his promise but then again she felt as if her promise was too small to compare to what he had promised her. But... to kill someone, to take someone's life and not know where their soul ends up. The universe revolved around souls, human bodies made no difference when in the worlds, she felt herself back in to the bubble before stepping forward again realizing the thing around them. She moved more forward as he slammed himself against the wall, she had no idea what to say. Once he fell and told her she was too late, she threw herself towards him and pushed herself between his knees to hug lay against him and wrap her arms around his neck. "You have no right to tell me I am too late, it's never too late and you may never tell me that it's too late." She sobbed in to his shoulder. "That's not fair, I will smile at you all I want!!"
