"Sorry, where are my manners?" Alex held out his hand. "I'm Alexander Miller, I teach Advanced Element Interactions and Manipulation, but since nobody's qualified for that yet I'm just helping out with whatever I can." He pointed to his eye, holding it open. "I've mastered both of my elements, and moved onto base power manipulation. Recently I've been able to see people's life force and their elements. Did you know that not everybody can use an element, but everybody has at least one?" He returned to his coffee as he said "That's how I know your elements."

"Ermm...... I'm Mason Wheeler. Umm.... I didn't know... well, any of that really." Mason turned and smiled at Nessie, Err... "Hello again."

Alex leaned over and whispered so that nobody else could hear. "If you don't stop wiggling so much your dress will slip." he teased. As Nessie came over and sat down, he leaned forward, resting his chin in his hand. "So, where's my sister then? I heard you two were in the same dorm now."

Forest walked over to the girl that appeared to be having a minor seizure. "Hey, are you OK?" She asked with a sigh as she looked around and continued to nibble on her toast.

She popped up and felt her cheeks become flushed as she scooted the sweater made dress down without giggling too much. She noticed Nessie's uneasiness, and felt like she wanted to know. She stared at her momentarily, but without her looking at her she couldn't see anything past her body language. She watched her, waiting for the moment to make eye contact where she could then enter her mind and do what she pleased, but Nyx was not like that. A bond with souls was not to be abused and only to be used gently because the mind is a delicate place. She looked up towards Alex, absolutely confused. His sister? She could feel the jealousy smothering her.

Nessie looked up, gave a small smile to Mason, and said, "S-s-s-sleeping, I t-think. I didn't w-want to wake h-her" she shrugged, "and h-h-h-how d-do you know w-w-where I am s-sleeping? Are you w-w-watching us?" She was pretty sure Z was watching them all the time, and didn't think it was a stretch to assume Alex was.

"Unfortunately I was in no state to watch anybody last night, but you should probably know that I have eyes and ears everywhere. Don't worry though, I stay out of private places like your rooms." He sighed, patting Nyx's head. "Oh well, I was hoping you would get to meet my genius little sister. Maybe some other time."

Nessie finally looked up which took her mind off of her sister and struck her with her thoughts, a smile crossed her face as she stared at her. "Can you hear me? If you can, don't panic! You just seemed uneasy and I am an impatient person to wait to ask you if you were okay." She reverted her eyes but kept the connection. "I didn't know you had a sister." Her words were filled with pout but she managed a small smile. Someone poked her on the shoulder which made her turn. "Oh yes, I am okay." She said with confusion in her voice, not knowing why she was asking if she was okay, while she was waiting for Nessie's response before realizing. Oh, just speak in your head, I can hear you but don't worry I am not in your thoughts. She winked to Nessie before taking another bite of her french toast.

Nessie dropped her toast when the voice was in her head. Thinking she had finally snapped and gone crazy, the girl closed her eyes. okay? I'm talking to a voice in my head!{/i] she replied, opening her eyes and calmly picking her toast back up. [i]I'm fine. she sighed, and not feeling hungry any more, pushed her plate of toast away.

no, I'm not fine, but I don't want to talk about it she amended, staring down at the table once more.

"Hey I am not some crazy voice in your head, it's Nyx. I am sorry, I was just--" the bond soon broke and she had pulled out of Nessie's head. This girl obviously didn't like her and Nyx had to realize that she cannot be friends with everyone yet she couldn't help but slump her shoulders while she played with her hash browns feeling mortified that she had entered the girl's head in the first place. She avoided eye contact from anyone as the shooting stars in her eyes dimmed in the blackness leaving her eyes the color of granite.

As Forest watched them all she sighed and took a seat next to the girl that had been panicking. "So, do either of you know what we are doing today?"

Alex noticed Nyx looking dejected and put an arm around her shoulders. "Hey, I've got to go down to the training field and get ready to teach. Do you want to come with me?"

Nessie just wasn't good with people, and she sighed, looking up, "p-p-please d-don't t-take my b-bad m-mood against yourself. I s-s-shouldn't take it o-out on p-people. I d-d-don't h-hate you" Nessie said, but thought the girl would just dismiss that, Nessie rose, "i'll j-just g-go..."

Nyx didn't make eye contact with Nessie and simply nodded to Alex's offer. Maybe she would be just as rejected when she first landed on this planet. No wonder she was more attached to Alex than anything else in the universes combined. She got up quickly and followed him to where ever he was going.

Mason just passively watched the whole thing, not one hundred percent sure exactly what was going on. Did I miss something? Nyx seemed sad about something, and Nessie seemed to think she had offended her. Maybe it's a girl thing? Mason saw Nessie rise from her spot. Should I go with her? Or just chill here?

Nessie sighed and fled, running out the mess hall. She fled down the hall, not knowing where she was going. She just wished she didn't much such a mess of meeting people, of seeming to hurt them. She just didn't know what she was doing. She threw herself against a door leading to some stairs, just wanting to go up, to get as high as she could. She wanted outside, but didn't know how she'd get there. She felt horrible.

She couldn't get the door open, and she groaned, turning to flee down the hall again in a different direction. Why couldn't she just be normal? Why couldn't she just know what to do? Why couldn't she just...just...

She just wanted to be normal, but she was far from it. She slowed to a walk, brushing her hands over her eyes. All she did was run, all she did was hide, and simper, and keep herself at arms length from people, for just this reason. Because she messed things up.

Alex kept his arm around her as they walked. "She doesn't mean to reject you." He said, squeezing her shoulder. "Nessie has problems with people. Maybe you should ask my sister how to talk to her, she seems to be doing better than I did."

She continued to pout, keeping her eyes away from Alex as they walked but glad his arm was around her. She hated feeling rejected, when all she wanted was to be someone's friends, or have a friend that's a girl where they can do that human girl stuff girls usually did, but Alex made a good effort to make sure she got the best of both worlds when it came to play time. They could play football or he would let her play with his hair. " I just..." She slumped her shoulders. "I just wish I was normal." She mumbled as she tucked her hair behind her ear.

"I don't," Alex said, looking at her. "If you were normal you wouldn't be perfect, and you wouldn't be here. And besides, I don't think you're any less normal than everyone else here. You're just odd in a diferent way."

Forest cleared her throat and started to chase the girl who fled. Why were people so innocent and sheepish? Maybe if she talked to her she would find out.

When she got to the girl she tried to stop her b putting a steady hand on her shoulder. "Hey! Why did you run? Nothing can be solved if all we do is run." She said as she continued to follow and try to slow down the girl.

She smiled up at him and relaxed a bit while the galaxies began to play again along her pupils in it's scarlet colors. She never fits in, but at least she was only odd instead of.. well. She groaned quietly. "So where are we going?"
