[OOC] X-Men: Declassified

The legacy of Professor Charles Xavier and his greatest work no one knows of began in an secret meeting room of the White House, in the year 1961. President John F. Kennedy had brought his top men, as well as some high priority guests, to discuss a growing scientific finding. In the year 1956, a man arrived to Las Vegas and found himself on a streak of good luck. It wasn't just some random thing though, he would go to one casino, and win a jackpot, only to go to another casino and do the exact same thing. When cops tried to apprehend the man, he resisted, and when they tried to take him out, even from point blank range they missed before their guns jammed at the same time. When the man was finally brought in, blood tests revealed a curious kink in his DNA strand.

They didn't think much of it, until a person who could create and manipulate ice showed up in New York, a young man grew wings in Connecticut, a young woman in California could hear the thoughts of those around her. Each ones having the same gene in their systems. Soon this gene was referred too as the “X-Gene” by those looking into it. Not much could be figured out of it, some experts believed it was a next step in human evolution, and others a possible new disease. Either way President Kennedy wanted something done before public knowledge of this new pandemonium got out.

At this meeting Kennedy invited two men, one was Professor Charles Xavier, one of the top men in the Government studying the gene, alongside his close friend Erik Lehnsherr, a former prisoner by the Nazis in World War 2. Both men had not only researched the gene, but surprisingly got it themselves. Charles becoming a telepathy, Erik gaining complete control over magnetism. During the meeting discussions over what to do with the growing population of people who had the X-Gene. After some of the more crazy ideas like moving out the population of Australia and let the gene blessed take it over were swiped aside as the crazy ideas they were. The ideas came down to one from Charles and one from Erik.

Charles knew that having these 'mutants' trying to mingle in with normal society would pose a lot of risks and dangers, believing it might be for the better to have them be put into a sort of underground confidently place. Giving a safe haven to hide away, learn and grow together, and eventually introduce mutants back into society. Erik however believed that mutants were far too special a growing group to exclude them. The debate raged on for some time. Finally though Kennedy sought to Xavier's idea. Giving him the funding to get started on the first academy for mutant kind. Erik in anger left the meeting, quickly vanishing and having not been heard since.

Charles Xavier's original dream has since grown and matured in the years. As the number of people with the X-Gene grew, so did a number of them using their new found powers for evil personal gains. Xavier began a new sub program, co-sponsored by the new Government program S.H.I.E.L.D. Known as “Project X-Men”, Xavier assembled some of the best trained mutants, giving them further training in hand to hand combat, and espionage. Now all these years later, The X-Men remain an unknown but very powerful force in ensuring that mutants who wish to abuse their power, or those using mutants, are dealt with properly.

The lo-down:

1: This is a Marvel Universe in which mutants are not something the public know about. Superheroes do exist outside of it, but generally are helped given funding and good publicity, The X-Men program helps ensure that mutants who want to live in public have complete control of their powers, or can be given help if they can't and a living space at the Academy for Gifted Youngsters, the X-Men's secret base in Winchester, New York.
2: Erik Lensherr is still around, having slowly lost touch with reality, now believes that not only should mutants exist in public. They should be the dominate species over mere humans, slowly yet surely he is building an army of mutants who believe in what he preaches. That said in this RP he won't come into things immediately.
3: Project X has been going on in secret in the last 12 years, tucked away in the woods of Canada. The X-Men know something is going on, but don't have enough information yet about it.
4: In terms of characters the goal is to get a mixture of OCs and canon characters. Canon characters can be reimagined though.

Appearance: 6'0", 175 lbs, Blue eyes and Silver hair. In costume, he wears a silver/blue suit with white lightning bolts down his legs and across his chest. Rarely is out of costume, due to the high speeds ripping off clothes that aren't designed for high winds. But, when out of costume, he wears tight fitting stylish clothes that are available to the region.
Powers: Extreme supersonic speed in both mind and body, even capable of running across large expanses of water. He resists the effects of friction, has a reduced need for oxygen, and resists kinetic impact while moving at super-speeds. Has superhuman strength (Can lift about a 1/2 ton), and Enhanced Durability. Has yet to develop traveling through time or restoring the lost abilities of mutants, if he ever will in this reimagination of this canon character.
Pros: Other than his speed, he has been trained in Hand-to-Hand combat by Captain America. He also speaks Russian, Romanian, English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Korean.
Cons: MUST consume 4-6000 calories a day due to the high output of his body. Appears to have inherited his father's propensity for mental illness and depression. Pietro has undergone mental breakdowns, episodes of mental illness, and severe depression.
Brief bio: Pietro and his twin sister, Wanda, were raised by Django and Marya Maximoff, a gypsy couple. As adolescents Pietro and his sister Wanda discovered that they had peculiar talents. When Django began to steal food to feed his starving family, enraged villagers attacked the gypsy camp. Using his phenomenal speed, Pietro fled from the camp with his sister. Over the next few years, Wanda and Pietro wandered central Europe, living off the land. One day, Wanda accidentally caused a house to burst into flames with her uncontrollable hex powers and the pair was chased by superstitious townspeople. Despite Pietro's attempt to defend her, the twins were soon overpowered and were rescued by Magneto. Unwilling, but believing they owed him a debt, the twins became members of Magneto's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants as Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch. For months they served under Magneto. When the extraterrestrial Stranger transported Magneto from Earth, the siblings had nowhere else to go. They learned the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. were seeking new members, so Quicksilver attempted to convince his sister to leave for America and join the hero team, but she wanted to stay. The divergence that Quicksilver felt still made him want to leave, but he won't allow anyone to harm his sister. So, he left his sister behind. Alongside Captain America and Hawkeye, he remained with the teams for a while. This is where he currently lies in his life. He does not appear to know the current whereabouts of Magneto, be he is aware that Magneto is his father. He has mixed feelings on the subject. He is extremely protective of his sister, Scarlet Witch. Mess with her and you won't see him coming.
He perceives everyone as moving in slow motion, so he may tend to get impatient from time to time. He has been quoted by saying, "Have you ever had a day where you are at the ATM and you are in a hurry because you're running late but the person in front of you doesn't know how to use the ATM and they're taking forever? Now imagine what it must be like to spend every day surrounded by people who don't know how to use the ATM."

No I like the idea, but, the Brotherhood haven't happened yet, so they can still be with Magneto but it would be in different means for now.

The big thing to understand is you can change Quicksilver's history and other things. I'm making Rogue a guy for goodness' sake. But the backstory is a bit different so read up on the backstory in the top post, even if it sucks like i think it might.

*Secretes psychoactive toxin from his pores that causes psychedelic reactions with the consistency of tacky resin similar to gymnast chalk which he can use to cling to solid objects.
*His legs muscle are twice as dense as everyone else's as are his bones from the pelvis down along with his spine resulting in lower body strength ten times a normal person, He can leg press, lift and kick with a strength rating in the tons,
*Superhuman flexibility and spine capable if contortionist movements.
* His lungs can expand and compress large quantities of air that can be expelled with enough force to knock a fully grown human off their feet or hold enough air for him to stay underwater for a half hour.
*Superhuman taste, perhaps more of a negative trait than he would hope for, but it means he could easily track someone by licking where they might have touched.

*He was a highly skilled capoeira student for eight years but barely practiced at all for three years until Xavier insisted he learn again, Toad has now taken up Muay Tai in the last year as a way to hone his superhuman kicking.
*After three years of football, he is a skilled athlete even though he barely puts any work into it at all but is already a capable team player able to coordinate and operate with others
*He has become overly familiar with multiple narcotics and paraphernalia over the last three years.
*A six inch purple prehensile 'Gene Simmons' tongue may not seem like a skill, but it is worth noting beforehand if he has to grab something or manipulate a small object with his mouth.

A recovering addict, he's easy to distract or bribe with product but not alcohol.
Due to his mother, he has a disdain for blond hair-blue eyed women and the high class that borders on apathetic.
Years of mental abuse leaves him susceptible to psionic attacks.
He lacks leadership skills and looks to others to take his cues from.

Brief bio:
He's a fucked up pup, that is for sure. He was the bastard son of a high society high school head cheerleader and a one night stand with a college guy. Pregnant at 16, she fell into depression and tried to drink herself into a miscarriage. It didn't take but it did cause certain birth defects such as his appearance and body growth. She blamed him for everything wrong in her life after that including the fact that her parents refused to let her give him up for adoption until she was 18. On her birthday she took her year old son to the orphanage to give him up as his first and only birthday present to his own mother. It was there that she met a man Named Erik, a capoeira instructor from Brazil who was looking to adopt a boy of his own since he was unable to have children after blow to his groin. What should have been a simple transfer became dating and eventually marriage.

She still resented her son for ruining her life and further fell into alcoholism. Her binge drinking along with general abusive treatment of Mortimer, 'an ugly name for an ugly baby', left him seemingly developmentally challenged. For all of her fury, his dad was his safety, he stuck with the failing marriage while devoting the attention to Mort and constant therapy attempts for his wife. While he was always a quiet child, his dad would take him everyday to class to keep him away from his mom where he learned and developed physically, able to do some of the more advanced techniques with no effort at all.

Sadly, when he was 13, a crane fell from a building and killed over a dozen people, his dad was one of them. Again Mortimer was somehow to blame in his twisted mothers mind that all she had left was a massive law suit. It was then that he fell into recreational drug use instead of gymnastics and martial arts like his dad had always hoped while his mother tried to drink away the millions of dollars.

She couldn't wait for him to move out at 18 so she could cut him off and lets him do whatever he wants in hopes he'll kill himself as long as he left her alone. Miraculously when it's time for teacher conferences, she always managed to pull her act together and play the part of a Stepford mom for a few hours in public before she took the mask back off once she is in the door.

During his first year in highschool, when Mort was under the bleachers getting stoned, the football coach found him after he kicked a twenty pound rock across the parking lot into the principals car. In exchange for turning a blind eye to his recreational drugs, Mort joined the football team where he meet Fred Dukes, later known as Blob. The two became friends instantly, constantly chilling and hanging out. Once Mort was out at a party when one of the Goth kids thought he could make a name for himself by taking out a football player, Toad killed the boy with a kick to the crotch that broke every bone in the spinal column from pelvis to atlas.

Before the police arrived, Xavier got to him first and offered him a place in their ranks. He joined them if they would recruit Fred as well. Xavier has spent the last year forcing him through his paces, trying to make up for the years Toad spent squandering his life.

Danny has a very slender frame weighing around 145 lbs. He is 5’8” and has normal Caucasian skin, auburn red hair that he styles up and green eyes. Danny is also described as being very pretty in the face and not having masculine rugged features. Even though he is male, he is known for having feminine curves especially in his lower body. He’s not strong like the average man and doesn’t really work out other than cardio. However, Danny is not too skinny and is able to fill out all the clothes he owns perfectly. His body functions like a plant. If it doesn’t receive the necessary nutrients such as sunlight and water for a certain amount of time, his body will become weak and his skin will turn into a sickly green color.

Danny typically wears anything that doesn’t come from animals. Most of his clothes are cotton or synthetic made materials. He likes the boys section of Forever 21 and also likes clothes from Urban Outfitters, Aeropastle, Abercrombie and Fitch, and Top Man. His style is described as up to date and preppy, but not too overdressed. He knows how to look nice while being comfortable. Most of his clothes are slim fit which shows off his body a little more. One of his signature traits is to wear something green with every outfit.

Powers:
Plant Manipulation - The power to control plant-life. Users can create, shape and manipulate plants, including wood, vines, plants, even moss and (for practical reasons) fungus, and parts of the plants, such as leaves, seeds, fruits and flowers. The user can cause plants grow, move/attack or even rise from the soil and "walk", mutate plants by rearranging DNA structure, and revive withered or dead plants. They can use their power for defense and support by growing plants from the ground and make them sprout seeds/fruits/berries, or even to possibly use plant chemicals to heal people or objects or manipulate their properties for a wide range of effects. Though less commonly activated by passive users, the ability may deal a series of offensive techniques on a target. Making the plants as weapons enables users to grasp and strike continuously with vines and roots, project thorns at a distance, and quickly regenerate the withering weapons at the user’s will. They can cause horticulture found, i.e. wrap of vines, to grow and climb around a target's neck, causing choking, or even strike with plants. A more subtle technique is to release damaging toxins and pheromones, affecting targets in which conditions should be treated quickly with ailments.

Contaminant Immunity - The power to neutralize all existing detrimental contaminants in one’s body. The user's immunity, digestive, and other organ systems are enhanced or evolved far beyond that of a normal human's. They are completely immune to every form of contaminant known to man. The user is immune to all known poisons, toxins, venoms, viruses, bacteria, alcohol, radiation, etc.

Pros:
With his knowledge of plants, Danny is useful when it comes to herbology and ailments. He can use his plants to heal or harm someone. You can often find him in the greenhouse making antidotes for the team’s usage. Danny is highly intelligent with a top 10 percent IQ and is great with problem solving and anything to do with the outdoors. He knows many sciences pertaining to nature and land making him an excellent helper in field operations. He's fast, quick thinking, and trained in espionage. Because of his Contaminant Immunity ability, Danny is able to enter high health risk areas, such as radiation and diseased places, without being affected as well as use any time of plant around his vicinity to his advantage.

Cons:
What Danny makes up for in brains, he lacks in physical strength. He isn’t one to work out so he isn’t that strong. He knows basic hand-to-hand combat and other basic survival instincts. As far as his plant abilities, they are weak in areas that are barren or have no capability of producing plant life. They are also weak against harsh elements such as ice, fire, lightning, and radiation.

Personality:
Danny is a sweet soul, always doing things to better him and others. He can come off as quite timid sometimes, but get to know him and he's outgoing and a ball of energy. He can be highly opinionated and cannot stand when people make a mockery of nature or do anything to harm it. He's the true definition of a tree hugger and will do anything to protect the environment. Although it is highly unlike him, he can be a bit witty and sarcastic at times when he's comfortable around certain people. Danny is very observant and can read a person almost instantly. He is very good at hiding his emotions so if he lets you in, you're someone special. However don't mistake his kind nature for weakness.

Brief bio:
Danny grew up in a stable household with normal parents. He was raised an only child and was home schooled most of his life until his freshman year of high school. Being openly gay, he got bullied and teased a lot from a few of the guys, but had a strong support system at home and had friends that stuck by him. Danny is your true definition of a tree hugger. He recycles and tries to only use products that don't harm nature in any way. Danny has been seen in many protests having to do with cutting down trees to put up buildings and other man made things. Not only is he a tree hugger, but he is a total vegan. He's opposed to the cruelty of animals or the consumption of them, but tries not to push that on other people. However, he does encourage his peers to recycle and use fewer products that harm the environment.

One day when he was at a protest, at age 16, the man that was driving the bull-dozer to cut down trees, came down and started getting physical with Danny. Due to his anger, he unconsciously made one of the nearby trees extend its branches and knock the construction worker out. Even though he didn't really know of his ability at that point, he completely became aware after he healed a dried up flower in a pot when he was merely touching it. Ever since then, he's used his ability for good, growing gardens and natural habitats for animals, growing gardens for people that had no food, using plants for herbal remedies, etc. He became quite the humanitarian and eco-friendly activist. He rarely used his ability for offensive purposes unless threatened. When he was 18, Professor Xavier himself approached Danny and his parents about him attending the Institute to give him the chance to teach him how to better use his abilities and offer him a place to stay there. Danny gladly accepted and has been living there for about four years.

"Past, present and future are mixing while i am using my powers~ And you think in this mass of space and time, that i would not find an option to beat the heck out of you?"

Powers: Rewind is possessing a rather complex power. While the first noticeable sign of his x-gene would be a advanced speed, he´s is simply faster than a normal but that by not moving faster, it appear like someone is winding up a tape, the movements are stocking, the limit of this power is yet still to be tested but as he is now he can wind himself up the 4x of a normal human´s speed, going over the four tines wonder up speed does takes a lot of stamina for him. Now when he does use his ability the next noticeable trait of his power would be noticeable, see able after images would appear behind him, like photographs they will stay for a short periode of time making it easy to predict and to keep track of Rewind. Last but not least Rewind is not named Rewind for some reason, those images he´s projecting by winding himself forward are in fact small portals in which Rewind can port him back as long as an image is existing. This does not leave him unharmed from attacks, if someone does hit him or would throw him around the power would be transferred but attacking an imagine would cause it to evaporate but no damage to Rewind.

Another notable enchanted thanks to the x-gene would be remarkable reflexes thanks to a better conductivity of his bone-mark and so not only transferring pain quicker but also allowing him to react more faster. This also improves his sensoric abilities like hear, smell and eye-sight but sadly also increases his level of pain. He is so easily stimulated may it be good or bad.

Pros: Rewind is rather skilled when it comes to physics or chemistry, he hold an natural talent for those two.
He's possessing an overall knowledge about many things in life but lacks interest to venture deeper into them.
He confident with his power and knows how to fully use it and to get creative with it.
He´s rather athletic and peeked into many different martial arts, not mastering any but picking up things here and there.
Enchanted reflexes and senses makes him usefull in field trips as well.

Cons: Overly sensitive to pain.
Not exactly what you would call a "teamplayer", he´s narcistic, cocky and sadly hardly to be motivated to be serious.
Sensitive to foul smell or loud noises.
Lazy but sadly not unmotivated.

Brief bio: Mick was born in Ireland where his mother was a truely irish and his father american. His father studied and teached chemistry in Dublin while his mother was just pretty and the daughter of a local Destillery owner. As his father married her, he was next in line to own the destillery. Quickly he decided to import the good scootish whiskey to america and well it worked quiet well. Hs father made mock brands of risih icones and selled it in america while he also hold the high standards in ireland.
Liquors like "Leprechaun´s jizz" or "Irish piss" which were all whiskey based flooded america while the simple brew was still obtainable in ireland.
Mick grew up in this weird sorounding where his father was loving Mick´s irish mother while he mocked everything she stood for.
The marriage was meant to be short and as Mick was 6 years old, they both broke up. Mick´s father got the full parentship and fully travelled to america.
Mick had a lone childhood and drifted off. He first started to be a bully in school both physically and mentally since he had the strength and the brain, and later into criminality.
He started with small things like theft but soon he went on to drug dealing and even later he decided to produce drugs.
It was then as he also discovered his powers.
Sure sometimes he had a weird feeling and during some tests he found that he sometime wrote backwards but he shook it off as a weird habbit but infact he was supressing his power thanks to an unknown urge.
As he prdocuded drugs it also once came that a police razzia happened. The police kicked the door of his labor in and the few guards protecting started shootng. It was quick and bloody and during the shootout a bullet must have hit a tank with oxygen. Mick runned towards the exist just as the explosion of the oxygen tank happened. Mick would have run intot he explosion and he already felt the hot embrace of the fire as he suddenly stood where he started he running. He turned around and left the labor through another door.
He laid of his criminality once and for all but still maintained a hedonistic life-style. Women, alcohol and the one or other joint occupied his life nearly to their fullest but the weird thing which happened at the labor didn´t let go of Mick. He decided to venture deeper into that feeling he got back then and finally grasped the faint straings of his power.
He grew more and more accustomed to it as he then grew a bit over confident and beat a police-officer using his ability.
He was arrested and luckily nobody believed the officer, it was then as he got an offer from a certain institute. He was curious and accepted it and only a day later he was out of his cell on his way to a man called "Charles Xavier"

Powers: Smoke Manipulation/transformation and therefore creation of things like Aerogel or fire, enhanced aspects of the human body.

Brief bio:
Reggie was born 29 years ago in New Orleans. He was put up for adoption as soon as possible, his parents weren't bad people who purposely wanted to make Reggie's life hell, they just weren't ready for a baby yet were against abortion. Reggie grew up like any other kid in his situation. His friends came and left, leaving him with a few trust issues with new people. He was never adopted, and things just got worse for him when he hit puberty. He woke up in the middle of the night to the smell of smoke. When he looked around to see what it was, he realized his hands were the cause of it. He had absorbed smoke from a bonfire that they had held earlier on in the day and was producing it at an exponential rate. In his efforts to shake the fire off, he actually threw a ball of concentrated fire at the weak wooden walls. They caught alight and forced Reggie to wake just about everyone in the orphanage up with his yells of terror before he sprinted out of the orphanage.

He had no idea what to do, he had heard about the protests against the mutant gene and knew how anti-mutant the owner of the orphanage was. He made a snap decision to make a run for it before anyone could catch him. He ran for hours on end before he could rest. He began town hopping and whatnot, catching cargo trains whenever he could and hitchhiking as much as possible. He got his first stable job at a boxing gym. He met the owner of the gym at some sort of 50s themed diner. The owner explained that he was desperately understaffed and would provide housing within the gym along with pay for Reggie if he worked every day, with reduced hours on the weekend. He accepted and thanked the man as much as he could. He had never been given a chance like this and it was just good to have a roof over his head that wasn't constantly moving.

Things took another turn for the worst when his powers began acting up again. He had honed his abilities to be controlled and not to just spout off unexpectedly. At least he thought he had. The same problem that he had with the orphanage happened. He lit fire to just about any flammable thing in the gym. He felt awful and fell into a depression that he wouldn't soon be taken out of. He left a note and what little money and belongings he had at the gym before town hopping again. He felt he had to train his powers or this would just keep happening. It was when he was hitchhiking that he would meet a man that would change his life for the better. The man picked him up before explaining sometime down the road that he had attended a school called "Xaviers academy". He explained that the people there helped young mutants train and hone their powers and help them blend into society. Reggie was amazed at the prospect of the idea and headed there as soon as he could, hiding on a trading boat to get over to Britain.

When he got there he was amazed. The people were extremely friendly to him and helped him stop setting things alight in his sleep straight away. He later stayed at the academy after he was able to leave and later became an X-Man.

Powers:
Superhumanly Acute Senses: Wolverine possesses superhumanly acute senses that are comparable to those of certain animals. He can see at far greater distances, with perfect clarity, than an ordinary human. He retains this same level of clarity even in near total darkness. His hearing is enhanced in a similar manner, allowing him to detect sounds ordinary humans couldn't hear at a greater distances, enough to hear a teardrop in another room that have thick walls with enough focus. He is able to recognize people and objects by scent, even if they are well hidden. He can track a target by scent, even if the scent has been greatly eroded by time and weather factors, with an extraordinary degree of success. Wolverine can also use his keen sense of smell to detect lies due to chemical changes within a person's scent. These senses stem from, at least partially, his constant cellular regeneration, as are his enhanced physical capabilities.

Insulated Weather Adaptation: Wolverine's body is highly resistant to certain elemental extremes, particularly cold, to the extent that he can sleep nude in subarctic conditions with no apparent injury.

Animal Empathy: Wolverine has the ability to sense the emotional state of animals on a basic level such as fear, anger, happiness or pain. He can even communicate with them to make the animal aware of his actions and or his intent.

Bone Claws: Wolverine's skeleton includes six retractable 12-inch long bone claws, three in each arm, that are housed beneath the skin and muscle of his forearms. Wolverine can, at will, release these slightly curved claws through his skin beneath the knuckles on each hand. The skin between the knuckles tears and bleeds, but the blood loss is quickly halted by his healing factor. Wolverine can unsheathe any number of his claws at once, although he must keep his wrists straight at the moment his claws pass from his forearms into his hands. When unsheathed, the claws are entirely within his hands, allowing him to bend his wrists when they are extended. The claws are made of bone, unlike the claws of normal mammals which are made of keratin, they are sharp and dense enough to slice through substances as durable as most metals, wood, and stone.

Regenerative Healing Factor: Wolverine's primary mutant power is an accelerated healing process that enables him to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue with far greater efficiency than an ordinary human. He can regenerate greatly damaged or destroyed tissue with few seconds. Wolverine's accelerated healing powers have been commonly referred to as his mutant healing factor. The full extent and speed of Wolverine's healing factor isn't known. He has been shown to fully heal from numerous gunshot wounds, severe burns covering most of his body, and regenerate missing eyes within a matter of seconds. Among the more extreme depictions of his accelerated healing factor involves him having his skin, muscles, and internal organs incinerated from his skeleton only to fully regenerate the tissue within minutes. Adamantium plays a crucial role in the speed of Wolverine's healing as well because of the fact that it produces a poison that his immune system fights off regularly. It is said that without the Adamantium, his healing rate increases. This power even amends psychological wounds inflicted as a result of traumatic experiences. However, Wolverine's healing powers force his mind to suppress the memories, sometimes resulting in amnesia.

* Foreign Chemical Immunity: Wolverine's natural healing also affords him the virtual immunity to poisons and most drugs, except in massive doses. For example, it is extremely difficult for him to become intoxicated from alcohol.

* Immunity To Disease: Wolverine's highly efficient immune system, which is part of his accelerated healing factor, renders him immune against all known Earthly diseases and infections.

* Delayed Aging: In addition, Wolverine's healing factor provides him with an extended lifespan by slowing the effects of the aging process. Wolverine was born sometime during the late 19th Century, although well over 100 years of age, Wolverine retains the health, appearance and physical vitality of a man in the physical prime of his life.

* Psionic Resistance: Due to a combination of his healing factor, Wolverine's mind is resistant to telepathic assault and probing.

* Superhuman Strength: Wolverine's mutant healing factor enables him to push his muscles beyond the natural limits of the human body without injury, granting him some degree of superhuman strength. His natural strength is augmented by the demand placed on his musculature due to the presence of over 50kg/100 pounds of Adamantium bonded to his skeleton, which also removes the natural limitations of the human skeletal structure by allowing him to lift weights that would damage a human skeleton. Wolverine has been depicted with sufficient strength to break steel chains, and support the weight of a dozen men with one arm. Wolverine's strength is enough to allow him to press just about 2 tons.

* Superhuman Stamina: Wolverine's mutant healing factor grants him high immunity against lactic acid and other fatigue toxins generated by his muscles during physical activity. Wolverine can sustain himself at peak capacity for several days. His lung capacity is at peak human level enabling him to hold breath for 6 minutes under water, making his lungs as healthy as human's lungs can get. And when his lungs stop working, he can maintain his life by continuous respiration (It can only maintain his basic life activities).

* Superhuman Durability: Wolverine possesses superhuman durability. This is mostly because of his healing abilities and Adamantium Skeleton, which redistributes the force of blows dealt against. However, even without his Adamantium Skeleton, Wolverine does display a degree of superhuman durability. For example, he was hit by a jeep, and was unharmed. This is partially due to the fact that his skeleton, even without the Adamantium metal, is superhumanly durable.

* Superhuman Speed: Wolverine is able to move at low level superhuman speeds. He can attack faster than the eye could follow. His combat speed seems more enhanced than anything else, and blitzed people before they pull their trigger fingers.

* Superhuman Agility: Wolverine's agility, balance and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels far beyond the natural physical limits and capabilities of the finest human specimen. Wolverine's agility is sufficient to allow him to dodge multiple bullets, other times, able to jump extremely high and evade several yards.

* Superhuman Reflexes: Wolverine's reflexes are similarly enhanced, they are also superior to those possessed by the finest human specimen and are equal to the likes of Captain America due to his superhumanly acute senses, although most of the time he relies highly on his regenerative healing factor.

His extraordinary hand-to-hand combat ability makes him one of the finest combatants on Earth. He has also defeated various hand-to-hand experts without using his claws.

Expert Marksman: He is an expert marksman skilled in throwing weapons and firearms, but operates more efficiently without them.

Expert Swordsman: Logan is proficient in Japanese sword fighting having studied under Ogun.

But because of the addition of his Adamantium-laced skeleton, the idea seems very unlikely.

Adamantium Poisoning: Adamantium has proven to secrete poison which stunts Wolverine's healing factor and feral rage by a very small degree. Even though he has it laced throughout his entire body it has not made a significant change in his abilities. However, the poisoning will endanger Wolverine's life if his healing factor fails on him.

Adamantium Allotropes: Adamantium has thirteen different allotropes (variants) that are very unstable compared to Adamantium because of their different molecular configurations and thus physical properties. Some have caused Wolverine to become dizzy or weak just by being in close contact with these Adamantium specimens.

Reduced Buoyancy: The addition of nearly 100 pounds of Adamantium to his body makes it more difficult for Wolverine to swim.

Brief bio:
James Howlett was born in Alberta, Canada during the summer of 1880 to Elizabeth Howlett and John Howlett, though neither was aware that he was the product of Elizabeth’s affair with the grounds-keeper. He was a sickly child for most of his child hood. The grounds-keeper became curious if James was his, when he confronted Elizabeth about it, which led to an argument. John fired the grounds-keeper. Later that night he came back drunk and killed them both, as John lay dying he got a shot out killing the grounds-keeper. At the time of his parents’ death he was in the hospital. He was sent to live with an aunt. When he turned eighteen his aunt cheated him out of his inheritance, left with nothing he joined the army.

He wasn’t aware of his regenerative healing factor until he participated in the Second Boer War he was able to keep it a secret. During Wolrd War I he was captured by the Germans. He was a prisoner of war for two years. When he finally got an opportunity to escape he caught by a guard who put a knife to his throat, instinctively his bone claws unsheathed killing the guard.

After World War I someone commented that it looked like he hadn’t aged a day since they enlisted together. He didn’t reenlist when his service was up, because people were starting to realize he wasn’t aging which he assumed was due to his regenerative healing factor. He moved to America and took on a complete new identity, Jim Logan. He joined the CIA, while employed by the CIA he served mostly in Europe. The focus of his assignment in Europe changed after World War II broke out. At first his was only to gather intelligence. When America joined the war effort he joined the Howling Commandos serving under Nicholas Joseph Fury and serving with Captain America.

During World War II he became sick of death and when the war ended he resigned from the CIA. Somewhere along the way he lost his way, he felt lost. He heard about the ways of the Samurai, he moved there to learn their ways. He lived among them for twenty years.

In 1961 Canada’s spies in the US government reported about the meeting between Kennedy and some old bald man in a wheel chair. The topic of the meeting was of great interest to them. It took four years but Department H was formed. They began hunting for those who had the X-Gene so they could form a team to protect Canada because the state of political and military tension between the US and Russia was beginning to reach a critical point. One small thing could have put the two countries to war and since Canada was a member of NATO they would be obligated to side with the USA in another war.

Eventually he became homesick and moved back to Canada he took on another identity, John Patch. He was eventually discovered and coerced into joining Alpha Flight as the Wolverine under Department H. Though their purpose for formation never came to be they did get put to use defending Canada from threats that no mere human could handle, such as the Wendigo.

Department K was formed specifically to work in conjunction with Department H to enhance those with X-Genes. The first nine were failures, if they didn’t die from the procedure they were driven mad and had to be put down. Eventually the CIA teamed up with Department K which led to Wolverine having his bones bonded with Adamantium. The process was extremely painful and traumatic on his psyche. Left in a near comatose state they had to build him up again. From that point forward he was nothing more than a tool of the government to be used and discarded as needed, and he always returned for more. That is until his liberation by Magneto.

Brief bio: Whitney was born in Toronto Canada to Richard an Ashley Sparks and is their only child.
Her father an MD and her mother a former Ballerina had tried for years to conceive a child even trying In vitro fertilization twice with no success.
They were both in their late 30s and beginning the process of adoption when Ashley Sparks discovered she was pregnant.
Whitney was the answer to their prayers so as soon as she was born her parent lavished attention on her.
She was enrolled at 2 years of age into an exclusive school to ensure that she receive all the chance she needed to succeed as an adult.

Whitney first discovered she was different when she was 10 years old.

She had experience in first aid and went to help. Arriving beside the old man just as the driver of the car did she was stunned to see the driver leap into their car and drive off.
She was alone with the injured man and knew from her training that he needed immediate Trauma care or he would die.
She'd damaged her phone at school and was without communications. Determined not to allow the man to die she went to work.
As soon as her fingers made contact with his injuries she felt an electric surge pass through her body. She began repeating the process over and over till she fairly glowed with energy that flowed into the man healing his internal injuries..
She smiled as the old man's eyes fluttered open and told him he'd be alright.
She left as quickly as she could knowing that exposure of her abilities could cause her trouble. Whitney knew that in the world at large there were a great many people that would either mark her as a danger or something to exploit..
She didn't use her power again till one day a friend fell while skate boarding breaking his leg in an open ankle fracture with luxation.
Whitney couldn't not help him and it was more than simply because he was her friend. Somehow his pain affected her at a distance filling her with discomfort which she knew wouldn't go away till she'd repaired him.
That was the day she found out that her ability to heal bordered on addiction, it was as if any injury was injury to her body.
She began avoiding her father's office knowing as she did that if she were there it would be impossible not to expose herself.
Things went well for a time till once more fate sought to expose her ability.
Whitney and her dad were out Christmas shopping when their car went out of control and rolled down an embankment.
Her father had neglected his seat belt and was thrown from the car.
When Whitney found her dad he was impaled on a fence post nearly dead. Working quickly she extricated him from the metal post and began healing him. Halfway through the healing process Richard Sparks awoke and saw his daughter healing him.
When she'd finished he told her to remain silent when the police arrived and then he covered for his only child.
Returning home he called a family meeting where he informed his wife and her mother of their daughter's wonderful gift.
Soon Whitney was learning medical biology from her father who would take her to work with him.
He made sure before his daughter got near a Patient that they were sleeping.
He used Whitney not to advance himself professionally but to aid people who couldn't be helped otherwise.
They worked well together till one day just after her 16th birthday men in strange suits came to the hospital asking questions. Whitney was not there that day but her father knowing what this meant knew that perhaps they'd gone to far and his daughter was in danger.

Well... Good to see you kids have been busy today.

I don't have my laptop anymore and am on an iPhone for the most part. There is a desktop downstairs but it's connection to wifi has been kind of shit lately. So with that in mind I'm going to need to take some time to go over these profiles with a fine tooth comb at some point tonight. One thing though that I will certainly address now though is that the OCs to canons is very lopsided.
