Name: Claire Faust (not her real last name, but a name she gave herself.)
Age: 19
Position/Title: Royal Guard
Appearance: Personality: Competitive, Overconfident, Serious. Fiercely loyal to her comrades, but also incredibly ambitious and vindictive. Some would say dangerously so.
Claire, is probably one of the most competitive people in the
entire kingdom. She hates losing in any way, shape, form, or fashion - making absolutely sure to do her best at anything she does. Whether it be training, or just washing dishes or some other mundane task. She wants nothing more to be the best, (like no one ever was!) and hopes to attain the position of Head Guard one day. Even for someone of her young age, she is one of the best fighters in the entire kingdom, as evident by her position. And as far as she's concerned, she can only get better and stronger. And she will, no matter what it takes. As such, she takes her job very seriously and she constantly trains in hopes of honing her skills to newer heights.
Aside from her competitiveness and her inability to accept defeat, she is incredibly loyal to her allies, and treats them just like family, probably because she herself had a rather bad family life. Once she's your friend, you'll have her as one for life. However, she's not above leaving you behind if you slow her down, and getting revenge on those who wronged her. She will become the best she can be in everything she can do. And if you can't keep up, you might as well be dead to her. This ambition has left a trail of some hurt feelings and heart broken people behind her, some of which may come back to haunt her one day.
History: Claire had a somewhat troubled childhood, being the seventh child in a higher class family. As such, she really had no prospects on any of the family wealth, inheritance, or anything. It was going to be mostly given to the first two who were born, with a smaller amount for each child after that until it got to her, and she was left with literally almost anything from the family fortune. The family more or less left her and the sixth child, her brother Erik, to their own devices. Erik and her became best friends quickly, with Claire often getting the both of them into trouble quite often with her older siblings with her competitive nature. . She beat them at almost everything, and when they lost, they whined to father and basically got her grounded. This trend continued for most of her childhood, where she made a vow to be better than them in every way shape and form one day.
Until she met Latias at the age of 14. Their meeting was rather mundane. She had simply ran from the house, crying after she had been bullied by one of her older siblings. Latias cheered her up easily, and the two became fast friends. She saw this as her chance, to finally rise above her older brothers and sisters, and prove she was indeed better than them. She taught herself to wield a sword and shield, and practiced with Latias every day, making sure to keep it a secret from her parents, knowing if they found out they would quickly do something to try to stop her, mostly though, she feared they would try to take Latias, even if she knew there was a low chance of that actually happening. A year later, Erik found out what she had been up to. He was quite shocked to find that she had left him out of this, and that she planned to run away and join the guard in the city. Erik begged to go with her, but she refused, destroying their friendship with a single word.
After she left, she and Latias made their way to the Capital. There, she joined the guard, quickly proving that she was better than all the silly boys and their flimsy swords. She made a name for herself, even more so when they found that Latias was following her almost everywhere. When her parents learned what she did, they were, to put bluntly, speechless. They quickly went to the capital, to try and congratulate her and win her favor. She completely shunned them, saying that she had no idea who they even were. When they pressed the issue, she almost made them regret everything they ever did - thankfully Latias stopped her, and after they left and never tried again.
Fast forward to present day, she's incredibly talented, and even if she's young, she's one of the best. She'll take any orders given, and she'll do them without fail.
Relationships: (~Open to Relationships of any kind here~)
Pokemon At Your Service: Latias
Move set: Dragon Pulse, Psychic, Shadow Ball, Recover.
Ability: Levitate.
Pokemon's Personality: Friendly, Mischievous, Optimistic, a bit lazy, and
fiercely protective of Claire.
Latias, unlike Claire, tends to be the more fun one of the two, often trying various things to get her to smile. She has had very little success in this department, but she still tries. When they first met, Latias cheered a crying little girl up with one of her antics. After that though, the times she got her to legitimately laugh diminished until Claire just wouldn't do it any more. Maybe it is just blind optimism, but this thought alone always keeps the Pokemon smiling. She is also very friendly, greeting new people with a smile and often doing something that is oddly cute and annoying at the same time.
Secretly, Latias fears that without someone by her side, she could easily be led into some rather, less than savory behavior.
Despite their differences, the two trust each other implicitly, and both would take a blow for the other if they had too. Latias has more than once tried to protect her when it wasn't even needed, which can make the Pokemon seem a bit unfriendly at first in some circumstances, but once it senses you;re no threat, you might want to make sure there's not a bucket of ice over door when you walk into a room. If she's not training with Claire or up to her usual shenanigans, she's usually sleeping. Or eating. Possibly both. She sleep eats. She almost ate a pillow once.
