[IC] Athalia Academy: Season Two - Finding Bael

–Zivon-

Zivon smiled in relief as he was not going towards the scary med bay, all of a sudden he flinched back as a packet of orange colored skittles was thrown to him by the weird guy, he tilted his head and look at the packet as it was like an alien. He looked back at Mercy as she mentioned that guy he accidentally because of the scary smile was named Darwin and he had a thing to put cyanide in skittles… Zivon face went pale…well…paler as he realized that the skittle he ate might had cyanide. He looked at the packets with a terrified expression and clutched his stomach. ‘Oh my god…am I …Oh dear…w-what am I going to do?!’ he started to breath heavily as he didn’t feel right at all, he thoughts went wild, not knowing what he ate was going to kill him or not. He looked at Mercy with scared eyes once again and looked at the packet, looking if there was any cyanide at all. His scared expression seemed to lighten up very lightly as the packet did not say anything about cyanide.

His scared composure changed as mercy started to head out of the lounge, he ran up to her but still had a small amount of distance with her. He was still afraid of what he ate but he heard Mercy asking a question. As she asked about his favorite ice cream flavor he couldn’t help to wonder as well what was his favorite. He remembered then flavors he tried as a kid but it was hard, his dad always treated him with ice cream…even if they were poor his dad would buy the flavors he love just for him. Zivon though carefully trying to think of his favorite but he couldn’t decide, from the sweet strawberries and cream to the tangy raspberry or even the smooth chocolate mousse he just couldn’t decide and each flavor hold a memory which wasn’t terrible but sweet. “E..e.v-ver…y-y…fl-l…a-a…vo-our…r” He stuttered out to her as he continued to follow Mercy. With the though of ice cream again his stomach gave a loud growl, he was still pretty hungry.

–Garden-

Garden listened to Leroy as he also did not know about a bakeneko but it did intrigued her quite a lot with his small description of one. “That sounds interesting…a completely different species, well I hope to meet him soon though. He must be interesting to be with from what I have heard Sir Leroy.” Garden gave a small giggle as she rested her right arm on the counter, also supporting her chin, looking at Sir Leroy. “Oh it was fun, a bit tiring but sure had its thrills, played water balloon fight, it was defiantly a challenge for me but I had fun.” She smiled as she remembered the fun she had with everyone, dodging projectiles filled with water and accidentally falling on top of Ryuu… she sort of blushed as she remembered that clearly, she still did not know how she was able to do that.

She just gave a small content sigh and looked back at Sir Leroy. “Oh yup, he is a boy…I check.” Giving out a cheeky yet something called…adorkable (yup a dork able) smile to him as she petted Sunflower. “Camp here for the night? Well I hope you have fun Sir Leroy, sounds very intriguing” garden gave another adorkable smile but realized that she has explain the flora, she forgot that not much beings knew she can talk to them. “Oh! Sorry for not explaining it a bit more… umm, I can talk to flora or plants for simpler terms Sir Leroy. From trees to flowers and I can hear them make music, the music of flora…. Its quite beautiful to listen really, I could hear some music playing a bit for a distance.” She turned where she heard the music playing, it’s been a while since she danced with the flora but with a new responsibility of taking care of Sunflower she decided to care for the little cat. “Would you like to hear the music Sir Leroy? It’s a beautiful tone they are playing. “ She asked him, while still listening to the music.

[Ebil Bunny]

- Matt -
"'A' or 'the' doesn't matter to me. Phoenix, hm? Why would you be embarrassed about that?" Carmen asked casually. Matt looked at the floor.
"Ever try walking up to someone and saying you're the Phoenix?" Matt asked quietly.

Matt raised his eyebrows questioningly when Lily just trailed off. Was something wrong? Even if Lily was the same power-wise as she was last time he met her, she was still pretty powerful, right? Matt himself had improved a lot, but that's because there were lots of room for improvement. However, Lily moved on without lingering.

"Anyway. Even if you can't talk, It would be fun to fly together. Maybe we can find some place to stop for a bit and talk. After all, I haven't talk to you like that in a long time, Matt." Lily said, smiling. Matt smiled back, remembering the times they spent together in Kamasyia, including the extraordinary amount of time they spent in nurse-related offices.
"That would be fun, I'd like that." Matt said, eyes shining.
"Well, we're not going to just stand around on the ground forever, are we? Let's fly!" Carmen exclaimed.

- Dani -
Dani looked over at Liam in surprise when she suddenly let go of his hand and slapped herself. Before he could ask if anything was wrong, she turned around and started talking like nothing happened.
"We should enjoy the view a bit more while walking." Liam said, then tossed off her sneakers and jumped into the sea, waving her arms like an acrobat. She then turned to look over at Dani with eyes that seemed to say "Your turn!" Dani smiled and took off his shoes too, putting them next to where Liam left hers. He then started walking along the beach with Liam.

"What happened after you died, do you still remember?" Liam asked as they walked.

"Yeah, though it was a slightly confusing time. Something about an orphanage, a hospital, then the streets. I think the adults found out I was a ghost before I did. I don't really remember the details, but I just woke up on a sidewalk in the middle of a city. I went to the police for help, then was put in an orphanage. There I found out that I had no need for eating or sleeping, but I still thought I was a human, so it was pretty freaky. The orphanage people sent me to the hospital to see if anything was wrong, and they found out I wasn't a human. They just kicked me out onto the streets."

- Alex -

Alex grinned at the reaction he'd gotten out of them. Despite the dark, Alex could feel Crash's uneasiness, mostly because he was looking for it. He could also feel Kathy's uneasiness from the movements she made. She seemed uncomfortable by this whole situation. While he didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable, it was for her benefit so he held no guilt over it.

He chuckled slightly, laughing at Kathy's lack of a plan. That was the only way to go right? Charge in and enjoy whatever comes. An adventure, if you will. For a moment, Alex considered the possibility of lighting the way for his friends considering their stumbling... But then he decided against it. One, it would take quite a bit of his concentration and two, it was better for them both if it was dark. More intimacy. Smirking again, Alex turned to look at Crash as he asked a question of him. Luckily, in the dark they probably couldn't see his smirk, but all the same it quickly melted into a soft smile.

"Hobbies?" Alex asked, tilting his head in an adorable manner. He thought for a moment before grinning. "I like to make things!" He shouted, his voice just loud enough to show excitement but soft enough as not to frighten anyone. "Mostly jewelry. But I like making other things too, like plush animals and blankets and things." He explained, leaning over to smile at Crash. "I know it's not something a normal guy would do, but then... I'm not an average guy, am I?" He asked, flashing his bright purple pixie wings for a few seconds.

He pulled back and turned to look at Kathy as she took her turn asking him something. "My age?" He asked, feigning ignorance. He knew very well that she was worried he wasn't the small child she considered him to be. For one, she'd have to get used to it if she was going to be anything to him or for him. Secondly, her knowing his age would certainly help her get closer to Crash, at least in Alex's mind. "I'm 19. What about you guys?" He asked, looking over at both Kathy and Crash, his eyes wide and full of amusement. He was honestly interested to hear their responses as he didn't know their age either. "And I guess I should return the favor and ask what sort of hobbies you guys are into." He continued, bent over, smiling warmly up at Kathy.

- Lily -

Lily chuckled at Carmen and nodded her head. "The ground can be very boring!" She spoke with enthusiasm. This was going to be fun, wasn't it? Her smile didn't fade as Carmen shouted and moved to the sky. "Hey! Wait for me!" She shouted in turn as she jumped up and began circling beside Carmen, now waiting on Matt.

"Come on, slowpoke!" Lily shouted, grinning. "This cool night won't last forever!" She shouted. She looked over at Carmen and grinned. "I want to dance with the stars." She continued in a sing-song voice, spinning in the air as she ascended into the sky. The cool air felt great on her face and soon, her braids fell apart, her hair whipping around her body. She paused high in the air, her legs crossed, pretending to sit in mid-air, her wings doing all the work.

"I'm waiting!"

Liam

The sea slowly covered her feets in sea water over and over again as they ket on walking. The most people would say it was way to cold to go stand in the sea at night but Liam didnt feel it. She turned around facing Dani again to hear about his history. "That must have felt pretty harsh with no one helping you in some way, facing it all by yourself." She dropped her head down looking at the sand with her twin tail next to her face. It was silent for a second when she broke the silence shooting her head up again with a bright smile on her face "We should talk about something less depressing, Did you make any friends at the academy except for me of course." She looked back at the ocean when she suddenly felt like swimming in it.

[Scallop]

Darwin

Darwin was having a great time watching Zivon panicking and Mercy trying to help him. Of course...he hadn't given Zivon the cyanide ones, ah well. Maybe Zivo didn't like cyanide...nah that couldn't be it. Maybe he was an anthrax guy? He'd have to bring in his anthrax skittles. Then suddenly he noticed Drow was going completely red, was it something he had done? Was it his hair? Was it MErcy being mean and talking girly stuff again? Probably. So suddenly he shot off racing after Drow.

"Hey Drow!" He called out to her, quickly catching up since he was a fabulous runner. "What's the matter? I thought me and you were gonna have dinner? There's a nice place where we could get chicken wings, that is if you like chicken wings. But if you're a vegaterian we could go to a salad bar or!" He beamed at her, his rainbow hair all messed up. "We could go back to my room and I could make us some food!"

- Matt -
"Come on, slowpoke! This cool night won't last forever!" Lily called down to Matt, making him smile.
Emphasis on cool. Matt thought. He closed his eyes and concentrated for a second, then FLASH! Matt was replaced by a brilliant bird weaved in flames.

Matt shot into the air, leaving behind bright particles of flame. When he reached the others, he began circling them. Unlike hummingbirds and, apparently, Carmen, he couldn't hover in one place.

- Dani -
"Well, yeah. There's a bunch of friendly people here. I guess when you're used to being different from the rest of the world, you get more excited to make friends with non-humans..." Dani trailed off, then grinned.
"Hey hey hey, you sneaky girl! Unearthing my history while I barely know you." he said in obvious mock anger. "I'll be asking the questions from here on out, buster."

Dani thought for a second, then looked over at her, now serious.
"I've heard a lot of rumors about zombies, but what are they really? I mean, obviously you're not a lumbering idiot without an arm and the need to eat people." he asked.

- Alistair -
Alistair watched her leave. he saw Cyber sit on the counter and looked at him. Alistair couldn't quite articulate for a few seconds as he stared at Cyber. who asked him what was wrong. finally Alistair looked away and said "i have to ask you something, something serious" he glanced up at Cyber then away again, he wasn't sure what he question was he studied her for a few seconds then sucked it up and blurted out "are you really a girl?" he immediately went red and looked away again. then he stood up "nevermind, that's a far too personal question, don't answer that" he turned, wishing for an answer but also fearing one.

–Cyber-

Cyber was at complete utter shock as Alistair finally said something well asked something and it him panic. He asked if he was really a girl…he just stared at Alistair, not knowing what to say or even do. He couldn’t feel anything but fear and slight guilt. If Alistair found out who he really was then he could get hurt or offended that he trick him yet …He looked down and sighed sadly, he rubbed his own shoulders and bit his lip. Cyber had to admit the truth yet as much the atmosphere needed it…he didn’t want the truth to be out, he lasted long with his secret and revealing it to someone who he had met in one day seemed… really weird and impossible for him to do. He looked directly at Alistair who seemed like he was regretting asking that question with strong fearless eyes. He quietly walked up to him and placed his hand on his shoulder.

Taking a deep breath and as he was about to answer nothing came out just silence. Cyber looked at Alistair as he ended up blushing as well…it looked like he really gave an answer…it was nothing… he couldn’t admit the truth… “So-rry…” He bowed his head, hoping Alistair won't see his shame. He wanted to cry so much as couldn’t let it go at all.

[Driving Park]

Carmen

Carmen watched Lily as she gracefully flew up to her, clearly enjoying herself. She followed Lily as she ascended higher and, at her "dancing with the stars" comment, made a smile that said "if only you knew". "You should try it sometime," she said in an unusually soft voice. "It really is lovely." She, of course, knew full well that it wasn't that simple for someone not spawned from the stars, but maybe it would spark Lily's imagination.

Turning abruptly at a sudden (but timely) flash, Carmen looked down to see the normal-looking boy gone, replaced by what was unmistakably a phoenix. Her eyes followed him as he flew up to them, looking back over to Lily as she said, to both of them, "Looks like we won't have any darkness problems," she said with a chuckle. "Well, shall we?" she offered, looking over the island, which looked beautiful and full of undiscovered vistas from this height.

Liam

A grin rose up on her face when Dani replied to her. She kept looking at the ocean while they continued talking "You could say there are difrent kinds of Zombies" her head turned towards Dani "There are some zombies that literally have most of their brain functions turned off and just bite people when they want to. I myself, am more human like the only thing that doesnt work is my heart which leads to more problems, You could say im half dead." She gave a smile towards Dani as her eye catched something. A bright flame was flying through the sky, when she looked better she could see some other flying objects in the sky close which could be seen by the light from the fire. She waited for Dani to reply and stopped walking while she pointed her finger past the back of his head towards the sky above the island. "I dont think those are fireworks."

Drow

She was quickly slowed down by Darwin before she could go any further. She turned her head towards Darwin with her arms close to her body listening what he had to say. They both kept slowing down and finally stopped with walking. She turned her full body towards Darwin and rose her scarf back up to the same height as before just below her nose. She was to nervous to look him directly into his eyes and kept looking sidewards of him. She got her notepad out and started to scribble on it again "Did I really do THAT thing to you." She marked that with 2 lines under it and showed the note to Darwin while looking the other way.

- Alistair -
He stared at Cyber as she came over to him and put a hand on his shoulder. He could tell Cyber didn't want to say it. Cyber opened her mouth but said nothing, she looked away and said "sorry"
There was his answer and, surprisingly, he didn't care. He put a finger under Cyber's chin and turned her head to look at him. He didn't say anything, he just put his arms around her shoulders, hugging her to him and said "sorry for what?"

–Cyber-

Cyber immediately blushed as Alistair hugged him; if anyone else was looking he looked like a ripe tomato. He still couldn’t answer, no words of the truth were able to escape from his mouth. “F-for… not answering…it’s a weird question….” He sighed as he really embarrassed, suddenly he felt like the time when his brother found out about him and his persona… they didn’t spoke for months… but at least they were able to patch things up but Cyber was afraid that if the truth was out then he and Alistair wouldn’t patch things out. “Yup…pretty weird..uumm….you wanna do something else?” Cyber asked in a flustered tone, hoping to get rid of the awkward tension. His cheeks feeling quite warm and glowing red.

[HylianRose]

- Lily -

"We shall." Lily answered, chuckling at herself as she flapped her wings and was off, headed towards the small valley in the center of the island. The others were probably headed towards the taller mountain, so she decided to go for the smaller one. Who knows what they would discover there. Using her wings, she elevated herself a few hundred feet and then dove down, letting the wind slap her face.

She scanned the area as she flew, enjoying the night sky on her skin. It was a beautiful sight. She came across a natural lake in the middle of the valley, fed by the waters of the ocean. She grinned to herself as she watched the glimmer of the night stars in the water as she passed over it. She took a lap around the smaller mountain and when she came around, she noticed the other two. "There's a lake down there! Who's up for a little exploring?" She asked, grinning to herself.

– Crash–

Crash lifted his free hand to the back of his neck as Kathy asked if he was ok, he felt heat rise to his cheeks for the umpteenth time that day. “I’m good” Crash murmured, the corners of his mouth lifting into a smile that probably wasn’t visible in the darkness. “Nothing to be ashamed about, just between...” Crash trailed off before completing his sentence, he realized he had developed quite the tendency of saying that one. “Being able to point out the big dipper is impressive in my books especially considering you’re not a star enthusiast. I’m not either, I can however point out odd shapes in the stars” He grinned at her through the darkness, warm crimson eyes tried to focus on her face as he carefully walked beside her, praying his clumsy feet wouldn’t let him down again. He was busy watching his feet after his initial reaction to Alex’s new form, he completely missed Kathy’s shy response to the blue haired boy. Coming out of his thoughts as she gave his hand a small squeeze it caused a ghost of a smile to cross his lips, he gently ran his thumb rhythmically across the side of her index finger as if to reassure her he was still there though he didn’t stop the motion.

He tilted his head to the side an amused smile plastered across his face as he waited for both of his companions answers to his question. He glanced from one to the other focusing more on Kathy as she answered his question first, he couldn’t see the flaw in his question even if they were on vacation lax plans could be made. Surprise shot across his expression at Kathy’s sudden exclamation, it pulled his attention back to her, a grin lighting up his face at her reply he couldn’t be sure in the darkness but he was sure she was smiling. “Sure sounds like a plan unless would-“ Crash cut himself off a second time, heat flooding his cheeks as he lifted his free hand to the back of his neck glad he’d caught himself before letting that slip out. “Never mind, just let me know whenever and I’ll come over” He offered a smile in return, he wasn’t liking the whole walking through the dark thing the only good thing that had come out of it was getting another chance to hold Kathy’s hand, a new experience and one that effected him more than he was comfortable to admit. Otherwise he couldn’t even see her properly, he couldn't see where he was putting his feet and was in serious danger of falling on his face and dragging both of his friends down with him the worse part he was finding was not being able to see Kathy smile...he liked seeing her smile.

Crash was taken aback as Alex shouted his answer, he could hear the excitement in the young boys voice and despite the soft edging to his tone it was still a surprising response considering the shapeshifter wasn’t exactly very far from him. Ah... He had really been hoping such a question would have led to some kind of common ground between the two, Alex was indeed very unique in his ways. Crash grinned at Alex as he saw him lean forward though he was aware his expression was all but invisible in the dim light. “Being able to make things creatively is pretty awesome” Crash offered up in response to Alex’s answer to his question before he chuckled at the pixie boys returned question. “Perhaps not but average is severely overrated, always stay true to you” He shrugged careful not to jolt Kathy’s arm in the process as he continued to smile at the pair of them. “What erm...sort of jewelry is your favorite to make?” He asked clearly trying to keep the conversation going, he wasn’t particularly into that kind of thing neither did he know much about it but at least he was trying to get to know Alex better.

Alex’s answer was definitely not the one Crash had been hoping for, it caused the image he had of the other boy to all but shatter within his mind. He was older than him! Not only was he adorable and...made pretty things, he was an older guy as well...and how on earth could Kathy be his ‘mother’ if she was younger than him!? It wasn’t making sense before, now it didn’t make sense at all. This guy is either really good at this or...he really is just different Crash turned his head away briefly, his thumbs antics ceasing as he struggled not to drop Kathy’s hand from his own, his grip did loosen momentarily before he remembered Alex was holding her other hand...a fact of which he found he was actually rather uncomfortable with. Jealousy wasn’t an emotion he was accustomed too, it was negative and it more often broke things rather than making them better when allowed to be more than a small healthy stab that reminded you someone was worth fighting for as far as the shapeshifter was concerned.

He wouldn’t be led by jealousy so he ignored his discomfort and grinned at Alex through the darkness. “Ah, you’ll have to forgive me if I treated you differently I honestly thought you were a lot younger than me...I’m 18” He answered the pixie boy’s question with ease, he offered up no indication of his internal hiccup. He wasn’t sure whether to answer the second one however although Alex had said ‘you guys’ he felt the question had been aimed at Kathy more so than himself. He was just as curious about her answer as the blue haired boy was; he hadn’t asked her that question before...his hand made that familiar journey to the back of his neck for the third time in the last few minutes. He couldn’t see Alex or Kathy’s expressions in the darkness but he could make out the proximity between the two, it wasn’t making him feel any more comfortable. How much further until the stars? He wondered squinting into the darkness though he kept an ear out for an answer to Alex’s question.

– Mercy –

Mercy noticed the color change in Zivon’s face at the mention of cyanide, she raised an eyebrow at him as he began to breathe heavily. “Hey Zivon...” Mercy murmured in a low melodic tone, looking back at him with warmth in her sky blue eyes. “You’re going to be alright k? I had a few earlier and I’m perfectly fine” She smiled at him tilting her head to the side. “Besides there’s nothing on the packet about cyanide right?” She asked him as she begun to move out of the lounge hearing him rush after her but keep his distance as was expected.

She turned her head towards him her smile widening as he finally stuttered out an answer to her question it caused a light laugh to break free of her throat. “You’ve tried every flavor? Wow you must really like your ice cream” She stated, looking back at him with a raised eyebrow. “Hungry? Did you want to grab some food before we get you some ice cream?” She asked him as they moved out of the lounge and further into the building. She was trying to work out the best way to learn a bit more about Zivon without freaking him out or causing him too much discomfort. “So apart from eating ice cream...what else do you enjoy doing?” She asked Zivon guiding him to the doors leading out of the main building, she wasn’t afraid of the darkness on the other side.

Zivon nodded as he answer that there was nothing with cyanide in the packet… well hopefully there wasn’t a hidden message he couldn’t read and it there was… another panic attack would happen. He sighed as he put the packet of candy in his pockets and continue to walk with Mercy. The blood had stop pouring his nose and the only thing left was a slight stinging pain but luckily its not noticeable. As Mercy laugh a bit with his answer of every flavor, well not every flavor but every flavor he had ate in the past. He couldn’t help to give a small, a very small laugh and nodded as he really love ice cream, it was one of the things that comforted him through the scary and hard incidents. “Y-y…u-p-p…” He spoke in a fragile voice and lightly touched his nose, it still stung for a moment and Zivon hoped that in a few days it would be healed.

“I-it..ts…fi-n…e-e…” He got used to eat ice cream first then dinner, he would wait for hours just eating ice cream until his dad came back from work no matter how late it was. He just smiled as he remembered that and then felt sick, he was feeling homesick again…he really missed his dad… Before even thinking it again he turn back to Mercy and answer her question. There were a lot of stuff that he likes to do than eating ice cream, he really wished he could sew a new stuff animal again but sadly he was reminded that he had limited cash and couldn’t buy the supplies for it. “u-hh…co-oo-ki…i-ing…cle..a-ani..ing..ng…Kn…i…tt-i..ng…S-se…w…ing…” Zivon answered to her, feeling weird to say what he likes to do. The stuff that he likes doing, he remembered one time when his dad told him that one day he could end up as someone’s wife… in exact words.. 'One day when you get older you will be someones dear wife Zivvy' ... “Wi-fe…” He whispered it unintentionally as he let out a small giggle, his dad was defiantly an odd man.

[Theobromine]

– Leroy

“He certainly is interesting to be around.” Leroy answered back, nodding his head with approval. ‘Not sure if you’d actually want to meet him though,’ He thought. From what he could tell, so far, Garden didn’t seem like the sort of person that’d be ‘okay’ with listening to someone laugh over killing a rabbit and watching the poor creature squirm in pain. ‘Maybe they’d still be able to get along fairly well, since she likes cats and all. Though I personally wouldn’t introduce them to one another over dinner or something.’ In the end though, it was none of his business whether or not Garden and Seven would ever meet with one another, or if they would actually get along.

He made a thoughtful sound as he listened to Garden’s recollection of the Beach Olympics, thinking that he might’ve been able to join in as well if he had known it would be something as simple as a water balloon fight. Then noticing the blush appear on her face he asked, “Did anything else interesting happen during the water balloon fight?” He purposely exaggerated the word ‘interesting’, pointing towards his own cheeks to refer to the blush on Garden’s face.

Leroy let out a laugh as Garden informed him that she had actually checked to see what gender the kitten was herself. “Well, I see someone’s not shy here.” He replied back with a slight wink. Then he shrugged while replying back, “Maybe. Camping’s not nearly as fun without a giant bonfire and marshmallows, but I’ll manage somehow.”

“Talk to flora? Like Alice in Wonderland?” He asked, instantly conjuring up an imagine of the well-known tale where Alice had been conversing with the various flowers in the garden. Hearing Garden’s offer, he raised a questioning brow with a strong glimmer of interest in his eyes. “Can I? I’ve never heard plants play music before, but if I could I’d really like to hear it at least once.”

– Kathy

A faint blush and a smile appeared on her face as Kathy felt Crash’s thumb slide along her index finger. It felt reassuring, and the knowledge that the two probably couldn’t really see the blush on her face saved her from further embarrassment. Later when she heard Crash cut off his sentence in the middle of responding to her plans (or lack of) for the next day, she tried to squint through the darkness to see what sort of expression he was making. “Unless..?” She repeated, stressing the word slightly with her curiosity to know what he had intended to say. Unfortunately for her, she couldn’t make out what sort of expression Crash had, but she could make out his silhouette enough to know that his hand had gone to the back of his neck. Now she was REALLY curious to know what he had intended to say.

“Plush animals, blankets, and jewelry?” Kathy repeated, quite amazed at the diversity in the things Alex could make. She could sew a decent amount, enough to fix a bit of torn clothing or loose button, but the idea of making a plush animal felt rather daunting. And for jewelry, she didn’t even know where she would begin to try to make one. Noticing the flash of Alex’s purple wings, she let out a laugh. “No, you’re not. You’re clearly above average, in several ways.” Then listening to Crash’s response for Alex, she pretended to pout and asked, “Hey, what’s wrong with being average? I’m about as average as anyone can get within our academy you know?” Knowing that the shapeshifter wouldn’t be able to see her fake pout, she settled for giving him a light ‘kick’ (more like just a gentle contact with the point of her foot really) behind his calf.

Her eyes opened wide with surprise at Alex’s real age. ‘He’s older than me?’ Not only was the pixie nowhere close to the age she thought he was, she had pretty much volunteered to become the ‘mother’ of someone that was actually older than her. ‘This is just… I’m going to just ask everyone their age once I start to get to know them.’ Kathy was vaguely aware of the fact Alex was smiling at her, seeing faint hints of a happy expression as her eyes began to adjust to the darkness but it was mostly his gentle tone of voice that suggested he had been smiling at her. But instead of meeting that smile, she looked down at the ground below, feeling her face heat up again. There were an incredible number of reasons for her to be embarrassed. For one, he was the third person in that day to reveal she had mistakenly assumed to be younger than they actually were. Secondly, she had basically been hugging someone close to her age group without any reservations. And finally, there was the fact she was currently holding hands with him.

Though Crash’s presence affected her a lot more than Alex’s, she still felt rather self-conscious now that she knew how old the latter boy was. And the more she thought about it, the more embarrassed she felt with her own actions. ‘B-But Alex doesn’t think of me as more than a motherly figure. So… So it should be fine, right?’ She wasn’t even entirely sure what she was worried about anymore. At any rate, she almost felt as though she had been rather ‘bold’ with her actions considering he was actually her senior. “I-I’m 17.” Kathy stammered out, her face still a bright shade of red. It was at this point she finally noticed that Crash’s grip on her hand had loosened up from before. She had been far too occupied with her own thoughts before, but now that she noticed she couldn’t help but feel a little dejected at the small change in his gesture. Luckily, Crash ended up holding her hand properly again soon after she had noticed the change. She had come incredibly close to wondering if he didn’t want to hold her hand anymore and deciding to withdraw her fingers from his grasp completely.

After listening to Crash’s answer to Alex’s first returned question, she turned her attention to the blue-haired boy once more. “Um… I should probably just apologize outright for... Treating you like you were someone a lot younger…” There was a small pause as she seemed to mull over something, before she bent her body a little closer to Alex and whispered, “Alex, are you alright with having a ‘mom’ that’s younger than you? I don’t break any promises I make, but… Wouldn’t it be a bit disrespectful of me to keep treating you like a child?” Since she hadn’t quite explained the whole situation to Crash yet, she kept her voice lowered so that he (hopefully) couldn’t hear. It was an odd dilemma she found herself under. On one hand, it felt strange to even think of acting as a motherly figure towards someone that was older than her. But on the other, she could still remember how sweet Alex had been and how worried he had looked when he had asked her to become his ‘mother’.

She gave Alex a chance to reply before pulling back into a proper upright position as they continued walking. They didn’t have much further to go before they would reach the side of the not-quite-mountain-but-bigger-than-hill. Kathy took in a relieved breath at the chance to distract her own thoughts and have a ‘normal’ conversation again. “My hobbies would be… Baking, maybe? I don’t do it too often, but it’s fun. And I really like playing sports.” Noticing that Crash had failed to answer Alex’s question, she gently bumped Crash with his own hand. “Hey. Don’t think that you get to avoid the question because you’re the one that asked it first.” Though she had been joking, her tone was not as light as it should have been. There were still a lot of thoughts swimming around in her mind, and she was still a little too embarrassed to be able to joke around with either of them without feeling overly conscious of her own actions.

Darwin just grinned at Drow, thinking this was all just a good bit of fun! They had finally slowed down to a near halt when she lifted her scarf right up to her nose and tried...to look in his eyes? Well it seemed she couldn't make contact, so he kept on tilting his head, attempting to catch her eye. Was there something wrong? As he pondered on this he started to open up a cynaide skittle packet and began to eat some more.

"Do what? Are you talking about the falling on me and...." With that he suddenly burst into giggles. "Oh.....that." He blushed and grinned again. "I think so..so any ideas where you wanna go?"

Garden nodded, she was quite curious about Sir Leroy’s roommate, is he a bad guy or just crazy? There many questions that pop in her mind but he didn’t want to bother Sir Leroy with all the questions she had. Then she blushed again realizing that Sir Leroy notice her blushing as she talked about the beach Olympics, he pointed at his cheeks to indicate herself was blushing. She looked away, stuttering a bit and not really wanting to mention it. “U-uh…I trip a lot!! Yes, I feel down a lot…yup…. Not very graceful as what other says….” Garden shrugged and looked away, trying to avoid telling what really happen. It was embarrassing to tell someone the story. She ended up feeling quite flustered as Sir Leroy said she wasn’t a shy one for checking Sunflower’s gender. She did do that to know that Sunflower was a boy or a girl but she never thought of the word shy was a pat of anything with it.

“Marshmallows? Bonfire? What are those?” Garden asked Sir Leroy, as she never heard of such things before. ‘Marsh…mallow?...sounds like a weird medicine or a drug…’ She though, and bonfire…the fire part she freak out a bit, being nearly all flower and nature with flora…. Fire is one of the worst enemies and fears she could get. “Alice in What land? I am sorry I never heard of this Alice and wonder land thing but yes I can talk to them. “ She started to create a small Lilac flower out of her palm and showed the small nature to Sir Leroy. “I can also create Flora as well, here you go.” Garden put the flower on Sir Leroy’s ear and then closed her eyes. “Okay… it while take a couple of seconds…but do you hear it now? It’s a jazzy yet poppy sound.” She heard the music from a far and gave a pleasant smile. It was melodious and filled with harmony.

Drow

Darwins reply didnt really help drow to calm down around him. She looked down at the ground while she softly muttered "Salad bar..." Drow didnt mind to get chicken wings but they are way to filling. Salad seemed more reasonable and it was more like a light meal. But going towards Darwins room would be to akward to do after what happened. she didnt know if Darwin really had feelings for her he seemed so carefree about all the stuff that is happening and her dad always told her to watch out for suspicious guys.

Darwin looked a bit suspicious but it doesnt seem he would get people of the street. She slowly started walking again, she didnt know the way but hopefully Darwin would know it. Her pace didnt change as she walked next to him with her scarff still high up her nose. The redness kn her face didnt go away and her eyes kept glued to the ground while they where walking. She didnt know what to say to him and dint want to bore him so she wrote something down without thinking "Why do you like that coloured candy so much" she shoved the note before his face while looking the other way.

"Probably..." Alex began, a thoughtful expression on his face that the others couldn't see. "I guess necklaces..." He told them. Nevermind that behind his back he was slowly gathering leaves and twigs and such into his hands using a bit of pixie magic. Stuff like this didn't take very much, after all he wasn't going to make anything too complex. While he worked, he continued to listen to the other two.

They were both younger than him, thought not by much. Admittedly, Alex was a bit taken a back. From the way they acted, the seemed older. Still, his thoughts hadn't changed. Though... No. Age didn't matter. She was still the same person, his 'mother.' He swallowed hard, his thoughts conflicting with his heart. How could someone have feelings for a person that was supposed to be their mother? Maybe... He needed to seek elsewhere and leave these two alone. He'd always be there for Kathy but he didn't know if staying in this relationship for much longer would be good for either of them. For now, however, he would stay and finish what he'd started.

"Age doesn't matter... After all, I'm 19 yet I act like a 13 year old." He told them, grinning though they couldn't see. It was true, he didn't carry himself like a 19 year old. He was far too child-like in appearance, even when he appeared older. It was kind of funny when he tried to order alcohol in his adult form. They always gave him weird looks considering how he acted and how he looked. It was bad when a man that appears to be in his late 20s acts like a 13 year old.

Alex straightened when he heard Kathy whisper to him about the whole mother ordeal. A soft sigh escaped his lips as his age probably showed. He smiled and leaned down to give her a kiss on the cheek. "Later, Mom." He whispered back, smiling softly. He didn't want to ruin this moment. He'd talk to her later. Besides, this was good. Right?

He'd be alone again...

The grin still plastered on his face, a force of habit considering what he was trying to hide. "Baking? I'd love to try something of yours." Alex told her, his voice sounding a bit too... strained. It still held his bubbly tone but it just... was strained. The smile was slowly fading despite his best efforts to keep it there. His eyes, not his head, fell, watching the ground as they walked. "Yeah... No skipping out." Alex responded after Kathy, turning his head in an attempt to imitate what he'd done before. "It's not fair." He finished, his grin returning slowly.
