Kami turns to the city. 2 minutes until the reactor hit the ground. He could save them, he knew. If he could purify the electricity in the generators..... he knew he could save them. But did he want to? Kami wasn't sure anymore. He'd killed before. Scum and villains. But in that city...... he'd had friends there. People at work. That one girl he had a crush on that didn't know he existed.... could he really just let them all die?!
1.5 minutes. The generator would be easy to move. His new powers were easily enough for such a task. It would be easy. But would it be the action of a god? No, it wouldn't. But he wasn't sure...... if he wanted to be a God who let this city die. He was sure he could save it......
Kami watched the city fall. And then he didn't. He was gone. Underneath the generator, he grabbed it, halting it's movement. Casually, he removed the uranium core, and shot it away at high velocity. It would land in the ocean, where it wouldn't do anyone any harm. He grabbed the husk of the machine, and drained all the power it had, before flinging it, too, aside. He saw the city bearing down on him. He'd only bought some time. But maybe.......
Laughing, Kami helf up his hands, feeling power course through him. Hero? God? Villain? Nerd? He didn't know. He just knew that he couldn't just let this place fall to it's death like Abbadon could. He wasn't a monster. He couldn't be. Not like this. He held up his hands, as he absorbed the corrupted energy, feeling it burn him. He felt it slice at his very being, as he pulled it in nice and strong..... and blasted it out. In an electromagnetic wave that made all of Hope shudder, he blasted forth power. He gathered more and more, his laugh turning to a scream, as the energy ripped into him. Maybe this was good too. He wasn't sure what he was. He'd just wanted to be something, regardless of whether it was good or evil. Something he fit into. Something exciting...... maybe he'd found it.
Screaming, Kami started exerting full power, and, against all expectations, Hope was slowing. It wasn't enough, of course. But it was slowing down, as Kami was screaming, moments from being ripped apart. This would no doubt be his death. But he would be damned if he failed at saving one goddamn city! After all, Gods are supposed to save cities all the time, right?
