Starting a near future mystery RP, any takers?

Hello, one and all, just seeing if anyone would be up for a near future RP revolving around a murder case. This RP will be structured somewhat differently from the usual RP style, and is more of an experiment than anything else. I can't say too much now, as I have only written up about 30% of the lore now, but feel free to ask questions and let me know if you're interested ^^

The technology is quite advanced, yet revolves around what we have today: Robotic drones perform most menial labor, medical science is leaps and bounds ahead of today (Near perfect prosthetic limbs and organs, genetic enhancement and such), as well as a sort of 'virtual reality' internet. Think of Deus Ex, or Psycho Pass for reference :3

You might get left behind a bit to begin with, but this RP will be quite free roam, so you can make your own way and engage with the world how you want. Most of the real plot moving events will be on weekends anyway, when most people should be able to respond. Just let me know if you have to drop out, I know life can be pretty hectic atm. I'm pretty game myself starting a huge RP project like this with my schedule XD

Well, characters will come from all walks of life (law enforcement, criminals, high school kids, etc.), and won't have to engage with the others if they wish. There will be a class system of sorts, where certain characters will be given certain events that happen to them, and their own mysteries to solve, all tying into the main story arc, as well as access to certain skill and equipment. Like I said, this RP prokect will be in development for a short while, while I work everything out. I don't want to rush this, is all.

The government is largely what it is today, though with more corporate influence. As for religion, people are free to worship whomever or whatever they wish.

What are your ideas on how the educational environment, transportation technology, and overall theme of the world? Is it darker, or sterile, or more harmonious with nature? Does social hierarchy take a big place in how we might interact with each other? I ask alot of questions, so feel free to tell me to bugger off if I get annoying haha ^__^

Well, everything is done more on a virtual platform education wise, while transport is still much more the same, except mass transit is more of a necessity, as the worlds population is now 14 billion. As for the theme, there are sinister undertones present throughout reality, as corporations take advantage of the escalating problems of poverty and overpopulation. As well as that, there is a sense, felt by all, of a great change coming. In a way, everything is coming to a head, and the world is on the precipice of... Something. And you're fine, questions are welcome.

For the rest of you, exams are pretty hectic, but this is still going ahead. OOC should be up later today or tomorrow, as I finish exams then.

Where do you guys think the story should be set? I was thinking of Los Angeles, but really, any setting would do. It has to be a real world city though.
