I am kinda unsettled on whether I wanted to join or not, there are points that would interest me and points that wouldn't. If you are desperate for new players I could join up but I dunno if I'd get in with my idea or how frequently I'd post - there aren't many RP's which can hold my attention for the long run. I'll give it some more thought, but I do what to ask how'd feel about a Half-Japanese Yakuza member with powers based on Galatea/The Gorgon Myths? e.g. can turn into stone/turn other people into stone -limited to touch not sight however- immense strength and limited regenerative qualities?

Anyway, real life has been... somewhat tamed? Mellowed out? Not sure, but I should be able to get something written pretty soon. Anybody have an idea for making my... prolonged absence fit in with the RP?

As for you Eldritch: I have nothing against a Gorgon based character, but try to find something that isn't just "turn to stone" instantly upon touch. Perhaps something similar, or other snake related? There are more Gorgons than just Medusa, so I'm sure you can find something :)

As for a Half-Japanese yakuzi member, I'm okay with that.

Well the problem with going for the other Gorgons is that the distinction between them and Medusa was that they were utterly immortal, and to be frank that'd be gamebreaking. How about a paralytic gaze which requires constant eye contact like a Basilisk? or equally something to do with poison, dunno what yet, probably something nasty... Frankly my original idea was more based on the idea of a slow creeping of stone from the touch point, requiring constant contact to complete the statueification, but I'll see what I can whip up.

I was thinking something along the lines of poison as well. And I do think that a Paralytic gaze would be interesting. See how people react to that. Also, most anyone of the creatures our characters are, are pretty much immortal, and while I never specified, I expect that everyone is fine with our characters being mortal, possibly with a somewhat longer lifespan but nothing aside from that.
