I'd say keep it freeform. I am doing certain rolls to simulate some randomness in the suit, but that is just my personal choice.

He did decently in school and ended up going to a community college, where he found a love of writing. Sadly, writing didn't pay that well, so he had to get other jobs too, most specifically, as a courier. So he meted out a living, until one fateful day when he was attacked during a job. Apparently, what he was carrying was some highly illicit contraband that someone else wanted, and he was just collateral damage.
What happened next is hard to determine, and indeed no one has really been able to. He was nearly killed and left for dead, his cybernetics on the fritz. All that can be guessed is that there was a malfunction in his link to the Cloud, and he had an out of body, hallucinatory experience. It was during this event that he says he had his catharsis, meeting with God, who showed him the true face of reality. Upon waking, he was as firm a believer as anyone, willing to do what was necessary for the furthering of the faith and transhumanist destiny
He is now a fervent believer of the Church of the First Deity, worshiping, proselytizing, the works. he has even undergone voluntary augmentation to make himself better and be closer to god. Better eyesight, stronger, faster. He is not perfect, but he strives to be as close as he can. He has become a preacher for the church, speaking to the masses and trying to convince them of the future to come. He has also worked against organized crime, however effectively he might be at that.

So, first post is coming up nicely, and will take place at a local highschool. And RC Master, you're going to be at ground zero, if that's ok. Though I want everyone to start a few days after the incident, so as to make it easier to get everyone's plot element in order. I think everyone in general will be pleasantly surprised with what I have lined up for them. There is no main character, but rather, each person is at the center of their own mystery, which ties into the overall storyline. I will be PMing each of you with your own story start. It might seem a little constrained at first glance, but you will be free to do as you wish with this info :3

Real Name and Appearance: Nana Suzumiya
Nana possesses a thin body frame, with long tresses of brown hair sweeping across her face and hiding her hazel eyes. Beneath her slightly upturned nose is a pair of thin lips usually smiling as if they are hiding a secret.
Shell Name and Appearance: Seventh
In her shell the only thing that is different from her usual appearance is her long violet colored hair and her ability to walk freely. Her attire is very "Alice in Wonderland" themed.

As a child around the age of six, Nana was involved in a horrific accident that required her to get an artificial spine in order to save her life. The accident caused her childhood to go awfully awry. She spoke to him for the first time, talking animatedly about the adventures of "Alice in Wonderland". Her passion for the adventures of Alice gave her Uncle an idea. He went out and bought a Cloud system especially for her use. Vernon is a slim figured young man that makes a habit of dressing to the extravagance. A firm believer of ‘the clothes make the man’, he takes every opportunity to show off his extensive wardrobe. As a Vice Investigator, most of his clothes consist of top of the line suits and slacks. As for his actual appearance, he’s a fair toned white male with arrogant features and a prominent jaw. His hair is a dark brown though it often isn’t exposed since he is hardly found without a hat.
Shell Name and Appearance: Rainey
His shell is not even human, he chose to represent himself as a brown and white spotted dog. While many users have a tendency to mistake him as an unremarkable AI programmed into the Cloud, a few realize that this man’s best friend is merely a façade for a much more dangerous entity.

Weapon: A standard Glock and pair of handcuffs issued to all officers.

There are many officers that question how a 19 year old boy was promoted so quickly to the luxurious Vice squad, but it’s not hard to see why when one looks at Vernon’s record. With nearly every case he solved ending in either a conviction or drug bust, he was quickly recommended then promoted to the squad by his superiors in an extraordinarily short amount of time. It isn’t for what Vernon did before he was promoted to the squad that made his reputation grow but rather what he did with his new office. But, I regress, in order to understand Vernon Kelso one must look at his past.
If there could have been anyone designated ‘Least Likely To Become An Officer’, it would have been Vernon Kelso. With a sadistic streak and drug habit since he was a teenager, Kelso was often suspended from school. It wasn’t that he didn’t understand his schoolwork or he had any problems with his classmates, Kelso was a bright young boy and quite popular in his grade. It was because Kelso didn’t understand the point of attending school and thus it bored him. He became a small time drug pusher and often bribed and threatened school teachers and officials to alter his records and grades. He graduated as a ‘star pupil’ with exceptional grades in classes he never took and an attendance record that was completely false.
As soon as he could he enlisted in the LAPD Police force and gained much recognition by busting drug rings that he himself created and came out with meritorious medals and promotions every time he exposed a high school drug ring that he had previously founded. Due to his record with busting drug cases he was promoted to the Vice Squad and quickly made a reputation for himself as perhaps the most crooked cop in all of L.A. Frequently dining with higher ups Akimitsu Cartels, he keeps up his façade as a star investigator in the LAPD by occasionally busting grunts in the Cartels while destroying evidence that would implicate their bosses or himself. Listed on both the Cartel and LAPD payroll, Vernon Kelso has secured himself a cushy life of ease and fortune.
