Anais and Xander | Ajala | Grey
"We should move soon." Anais turned to see a Ajala gesturing for them to go inside. Face hard as stone quickly turned into almost tearful cry. Jumping at the nagini, Anais threw her arms around Ajala's neck as she sobbed, tearlessly. Vampires can cry, but it can get a little messy - what with all the blood and all. "Ajala, it was so terrible! I tried to be nice, but people kept shoving and pushing - and .. and," she gasped between words as Anais tried to explain what had happened earlier, "and I got shoved and then I dropped my umbrella and then I-I got burnt and it hurts but you're here and.." Anais hugged her friend tighter. Ajala was always Anais's go-to friend for whenever she got upset. Xander would always end up making fun of her problems or disappear if things got too serious.
Sniffling a bit, Anais let out a big sigh before going back to her normal dead-faced self. "OK, lets go find a seat," taking Ajala by the hand, the dark haired vampire led the nagini through the crowds - this time being a tad bit more assertive than her usual self. "Hey! Hey over here!" Turning to a cheeky smiling Xander by two spare seats, Anais frowned, turning her head in a sort of 'hmph' manner. She somewhat blamed Xander for the incident from earlier, but deep down, she knew it wasn't his fault. "Come on, I think I see a couple spare seats over there," Anais whispered to Ajala before making their way to the pair of seats. Xander raised an eyebrow as he watched the two girls sit further away from him before gliding towards them from across the Stadium.
"This seat taken, ladies?" He asked, gently landing down on the seat opposite Ajala. "Hey, Anais! You look different. Did you get yourself a tan?" He asked, playfully mocking the burn marks. Anais half screamed/half shouted a "HOW DARE YOU?!" before recoiling back in her seat as a few teachers and students turned to see what the commotion was about. "I'm going to kill you," Anais threatened before Xander rolled his eyes, "but I'm already dea--" before he could finish his sentence, Anais interrupted, "just shut up." The two both pouted in silence, both unhappy with the other as a poor Ajala had to sit awkwardly in the middle.

"Good morning everybody!" Anais's eyes lit up as she heard the same familiar deep voice that she had heard earlier that day. "It's wonderful to see so many returning faces to our school! And even better, so many new faces this year! I am the Head of Ouroboros. You can call me Grey! First things first, as I see some whispering going on, some of you may have noticed that your friends and companions are seeing me as something different than what you see." Hands intertwined on her lap as she listened to Grey's every word, Anais grinned a sharp fanged smile. "You'll get used to it. Suffice to say that there is no wrong way to address me. Moving forward, I will say that some of you may think you are out of place."
"That you do not belong."
Anais's smile faded, as did Xander's, upon hearing the last part. The pair of them were both, well to put it lightly, social outcasts in their human lives. Thinking that what had happened before had to happen again, they both struggled with their first times at Ouroboros. It was hard, but worth it. They met a lot of friendly accepting people and learnt a lot about themselves. "This could not be further from the truth! No matter where you come from, no matter who or what you think you are! Know that you belong here. This Academy has had billions of species pass through it's halls. But it will only ever have the privilege of you once. Whether this be your first year, or your last, I hope you come to think of this school as a home, and all of us your family. No matter what you may think now, know that you will look back on these years with fondness. For all your mistakes, for all your successes, for all the friends you will make and lose!" At that very moment, Anais had given grey the most genuine smile she had ever given anyone. Not for his good looks, or his deep voice, or for the well tailored suit he was wearing - but for the words he was speaking at that very moment.
"That being said, there are some rules you all need to follow. I will not bore you with them one by one, returning students know them by now, and you newcomers have a list of them within the packet that was sent to your homes. But I will make one thing clear, and please, if you tune out everything I say but one bit, make it this bit that you listen to you most intently." Xander had gotten goosebumps as he listened to the Headmaster. "We do NOT tolerate intolerance. You will represent your species and yourself with the utmost pride and respect for others. There will be no fighting. There will be no discrimination. Those who break this rule will face the consequences of their actions. NO exceptions." Anais nodded intently as Xander let out a nervous breath. If there was one person you knew not to mess with, that was Headmaster Grey.
"Now then! The rest of the day is given to you, to explore the school grounds and get settled in. Tomorrow, clubs and sports teams will be meeting at designated locations, but you will again have the day off. May I recommend getting to know Purgatory, the lovely city we are stationed in. For the day after that, your classes will start! And so will your wonderful journey! On behalf of myself and the entire faculty, welcome to Ouroboros Academy!" The pair clapped and cheered, Anais a little bit harder, as Grey made his exit. Turning to face each-other, Xander shrugged. "Truce?" Anais nodded. "Truce." Letting out a yawn, she faced Ajala with a happy grin, "so what do you wanna do now? Explore? Eat? Head back to the room and laze about for the rest of the day?" she giggled.
