"A water... thing? Sounds like crazy, but it could be magic, framing maybe?" I wonder if slayers can ride animals...? "Fleo well done on gaining Intel." And Nolan, if you don't mind, i'd like to NOT have a horse, I prefer to... well, rocket my way instead. He gave off a little chuckle. "Ready to go?"

Serma Cathris --- Phoenix Wing guild fall
Cathris watched what happened, still confused, but she did manage to get that the new guy had been in "Edolas", which Cathris didn't believe for a second, and it became clear who Master Jamie was. Swallowing, Cathris started to approach Jamie once the Wes person tried to head up the stairs and was blocked by the Wizard Saint. It wasn't until Jamie came back out of his office and was seeking an audience with the fire God slayer mage that she spoke up.

"E-excuse me, Master Jamie?" Her voice was quiet, and she tugged on the guild master's sleeve lightly, though her eyes were locked on Jack. "Master Jamie, I-I'm from Iron Enigma and-" Her voice cracked, and she cleared her throat, swallowing. "And I have a-a message I need to d-deliver from my guild master to you a-as soon as it's convenient to you p-please." She bit her lip, looking worried, and consciously kept her hands in sight at all tines, mostly achieved by wringing her wrists, holding them out in front of her. It was all she could do not to completely panic and do something she might regret.

"Aah? He just came in and asked for it?" Either she was lying, or Trinity had just taken bait. And what reason would she have to lie? So, either way... "And he didn't... do anything suspicious or, I dunno... laugh menacingly? Everyone's present and accounted for?" When they came in, the woman was hard at work. If she's an imposter, she's really good at it. Probably just the woman that's supposed to be here. She got a paper cut to bleed? Ouch. "The same guy came buy the guild, introduced himself as Time Lord, and made a general omen of himself. Uhm, did he say or ask anything else? Who it was he was looking for, why he was so interested in meeting them...? Anything at all?" They should tell Sasha that they probably fell for a trap. Trinity looks back to Prince and tilts her head toward the door. Those two were tired, makes for vulnerable first targets. She didn't know how teamwork would play out on her end, either. She'd never worked with either Nero or Prince before.

It was all vaguely concerning. This Time Lord guy didn't seem too... aggressive, but he was still being a menace. What did he want?

His attack seemed to do nothing. "Who are you? and what do you want?..." He asked, right before Sasha punched the shade into the shadows. He paused for a moment, trying to comprehend what had just happened. "This is a trap Sasha. Our investigation was clearly a fake." He was serious. "Me and you are weak at the minute. Trinity isn't the most offensive of wizards, and we have no idea what the cat man and genie are capable of." He carefully looked around. "We have to leave. Now." It wasn't safe at all, they were weak, and possibly outnumbered. He moaned in his head. They should have brought that Shujin character with them.

Jack Goran|Phoenix Wing Guild Hall

Jack turned to Jamie and went to follow him into his office when the voice spoke behind him. Turning around for a moment, his eyes harden when he sees the guild mark on her neck and she visibly cringes when the Wizard Saint turns his attention to her. "Iron Enigma. A dark guild that likes to think they're not doing anything wrong because they're like a family. Forget the murders and the stolen objects, we're family like light guilds, right?" Stepping closer to the girl, he looks her in the eyes, which only makes her swallow hard and retreat from his presence.

"You and your guild twist the concept and pervert it, but I'm not beyond reason. I'll give you a minute and a half to converse with Master Jamie and deliver your message. If you are not out of this guild hall at the end of that minute and a half," one fist enveloped with black flames for emphasis, "you won't like what happens next." She swallowed hard again and nodded, quickly approaching Master Jamie as Jack watched the clock. Dark Guilds, in his mind, were a risk that could trigger a repeat of the events of 100 years ago, and he wouldn't, couldn't, let that happen.

Serma Cathris --- Phoenix Wing Guild Hall
Once Jack starts harassing her family, Serma lifted her her and stared him in the eyes, anger apparent. Once he stopped talking, she relaxed, her face softened, but her voice became almost monotome. "We don't justify our actions by saying we're a family. We're a family because we have each other's backs no matter what happens. We breath, fight, and die for each other. And that, in my eyes, makes us far better than Wizard 'Saints' that threaten fifteen-year-old girls who have no hope of defending themselves against them. I will take as long as I need conversing with Master Jamie, and I will relay any statement he has back to my guild master, for that is what I was asked to do, and I will not fail that because of some so-called saint threatening me." She turned towards Master Jamie, waiting for his command to tell him what she needed to, or to follow him should he so indicate, knowing there was likely going to be reprisal for that little speech.

"The darkness one. I like you being generally positive," she starts walking off into the town waving for Ariel to follow, "I'm not surprised you don't know much about magic. Most people, even these days, are still wary of magic. Hmm... I could try talking to my dad when I get a chance and see if he knows anything about your magic. As for why... Might have to do with what magics people use."

Sasha

Sasha nodded, knowing that they did have to leave, but she was worried for the people in the inn. She looked out the inn, over to the FOREVER Magazine place. Would they have heard the commotion? She started towards the magazine place, but suddenly, everything went dark. "Lazarus!" she called, panic setting into her voice. What were they meant to do?

How could they fight?

"Trinity!" She bellowed, "Kitty!" They could be in danger too, she suddenly realised, "Lazarus! We need to get to them!"

Master Jamie

As some one addressed her, Jamie couldn't help the sigh. What else could go wrong today? they looked over their shoulder at the girl, and as Jack addressed them, Jamie watched.

He narrowed her eyes, watching the girl as she spoke. "That you may breath, fight, and die for one other, but typically, your goals are not of light guild values. Why have you come, Serma Cathris. And why, if your guild master wished to speak with me, did he not come himself?"

Jarvis

Jarvis knelt back by Amelia, checking to make sure she was okay. "Amelia, sweety?" he asked softly, not wanting to move her, just n case all was not okay.

Fleo Plector – the Unnamed Desert

Again seized by that resolute excitement, Fleo spurred her own force and galloped after Nolan, but not before mentioning to Lucas, “I think the point is to sue horses to try and conserve our magic. I mean, I prefer using my Sirocco, but it's a smart idea I guess.” With that, she was off.

Despite the harsh desert conditions, team Powder Keg made good time across the parched sands. With their horses, in fact, they covered more ground more quickly than had the rogue magician, and after luckily discovering a perceptibly human set of tracks imprinted in the shifting ground they had a definitive trail to follow. A sweltering, sweaty hour later, the team collectively spotted a figure squatting ominously in the distance. Casting aside any slight apprehensions arising about their quarry's nature, the wizards pressed forward, and found the very man they were after sitting beneath the intense rays. From about two hundred feet away Fleo could spy the man's chest heaving in fatigue and mouth constantly undulating in a tumult of mumbles. She wiped a bead of perspiration from her brow and announced, ”I bet that's our guy. He looks plenty crazy. Has he even noticed us?”

Curious and impetuous as ever, Fleo raised her voice. “Hey mister!” carried across the sand, causing the man to look up. Fleo cringed, realizing that she'd perhaps committed a grave mistake, but that fear vanished when the man dejectedly turned his gaze back downward. “He's...weirdly passive, at least. Maybe we oughta try talking to him...?”

Nero – FOREVER Office

Shrugging, Nero followed Prince and Trinity, lagging behind with a vague disinterest as he roved his gaze over the town. Nothing in his immediate vicinity piqued his intrigue, particularly after Sasha and Lazarus rounded a building and out of sight, evidently bound for a rest. From what Nero could gather about family, siblings could take a lot of stamina to deal with, but it seemed that Sasha's exhaustion hailed from a little farther back in time. The genie wondered for a moment what she and the other sudden arrivals had been doing prior to their teleportation, but that was a matter -if it continued to puzzle him- for another time. For now, all that he needed to do was tag along with the others, and even that demanded little of his attention. These people and their mission meant little to him; if something more promising happened along, he felt no qualms about leaving them behind. This town lay beyond the influence of Master Jamie, so to Nero it was fair game—not that he planned on abusing it.

Only young Ayame, with that endearing shyness belaying a proper child's ego, would weigh on his mind. Young children always inspired in Nero a desire to please, so that they might not grow up knowing the hardships he'd faced. Whether spoken or not, a bright future was a wish that all men shared. From what he'd seen, Ayame resembled his spirit ever so slightly, which meant that Jamie would like nothing better than to quash that rebellious, self-sufficient streak. Though he knew himself a poor guardian for a child, Nero imagined that he might be, funny as it sounded, a better influence.

His train of thought evaporated under the motor mouth of FOREVER's receptionist. What a loudmouth, he groused internally. At the back of the small group, he could hear faint noises of commotion from outside, several buildings away in fact, but they did not warrant his attention. As the conversation between Trinity and the pink-haired woman continued, Nero sighed in boredom and pulled a bronze coin -his only money, right now- out of his pocket, which he commenced to shift from material to material in quick succession with rapid-fire Laws of Embodiment.

Shouting outside caused him to look up. As the possessor of the voice -Sasha, he remembered- drew closer, he heard the names of his two acquaintances. Furthermore, a distinct edge of panic could be detected in her shouts. Nero put his coin away and chuckled, “Aw, she forgot me. Doesn't she want my help? Whatever, I'll just stay here and get a photo. Only women, is it? What kinda fair is that?” He toyed with the idea of using the Law of Manifestation to remove one of the magazine worker's willpower, but decided it would be too risky.

Prince
Fiore || FOREVER Magazine Building >>> Outside the Inn >>> Magazine Building

@Caits@YipeeXD@CirusArvennicus@Lugubrious

Prince hummed as he followed Trinity, ears perked as he listened to the woman chatter away. Before flicking his sensitive ears as he listened to the commotion back at the inn. "Ah, seems we brought the target with us. I'll go scout ahead. Keep a lookout." he mused to the other two before turning toward the direction though did glance at Nero at his words, chuckling a little.

"They probably either barely or don't know our names. Too much drama to make a proper introduction." Prince purred before he seemed to disappear from sight. Though he was just moving in a flash outside and to the inn.

Everything suddenly went dark, yet Prince could still see clearly, his glowing blue eye glancing around as he moved swiftly through the darkness. Interesting magic, to turn the surrounding area into such complete darkness. A sound strategy to take away a wizard's sight. Soon coming up behind Sasha and gently placing his claws hands on her shoulders.

"You called Milady Sasha? Now now, don't panic, I'm sure the one behind this is hoping for that. Seems we came up in a little predictiment Mhm?" Primce chuckled in the same easy going cheerful tone, though his senses were fully alert. Ears perks for any sound of movement and his nose smelling for anything off. Eye glance around them to examine for danger to them and for any innocent bystanders caught up in the act.

"Here, I'll help lead you to the others. It doesn't seem to effect the buildings. Listen closely though." he murmured, his right hand moving to Lazarus's shoulder before starting to lightly lead them back to the FOREVER magazine building. His footsteps about completely silent as he moved.

Ariel
Hm, so far her companion had a lot of insight and even offered to get some more help. "Wow really? That would be awesome." Stopping to think about getting magic related to darkness. That didn't sound particularly enticing. "Yeah, having a dark personality doesn't sound all that great. I wonder if there is a way to stop that from happening." So far she still wasn't sure about how things worked with magic. None the less she followed along. "So does that mean you have light magic?"

She pauses at the question. She looks down at her hand and smiles sadly, "Yes I do. Though I don't focus on it. My main type of magic is called Darkness Assault. A variation of a magic my dad created himself," she generates darkness around her hand, "Though I do use a light variant too. It reminds me of my sister... Not that that's always a good thing," she dispels the magic around her hand and shakes her head, "Well what are we gonna do? Shop or look for an apartment for me?"

Amaya Adjusted her Hood to make sure it was covering her face. She personally didn't care whether it was proper but the last thing she needed was a really bad sunburn, in this case, the sun was no friend to her and neither was the environment. She adjusted her coat over her shoulders "Alright, Lets see how long this will last I am already sweating a lake over here.."She commented to Nolan and Floe listening to them speak of the wizard maybe just being crazy or maybe there was really a water creature following him...This Land is so strange to her, sometimes Amaya did wish she was back in her favorite cold climate like Zero and his counterpart was.

She looked over at lucus speak of how he would prefer to use his magic then ride a horse "Save your energy, if this wizard was able to kill his whole guild and his own guild master, we will need to save all the energy we have for a possible battle."Amaya commented gently before she snapped the reins , telling her horse to follow quickly after her teammates. She kinda enjoyed the breeze but also hated it because it wasn't very cold, it was more hot and the sand just rubbed against her skin.

FOREVER Magazine HQ

Prince had left before she even had a thought to tell him to. Well, that worked out fine, she supposed. If he noticed something she didn't it would be best that he go to investigate. He'd know what to look for.

Trinity turned when she heard her name, loud and clear from the outside. Her search for the source was short-lived as her gaze met only with a strange, inky blackness outside. Trinity glances back at the office receptionist before arming herself with her bow and quiver, turning to the receptionist and bowing before she starts to backtrack. "Excuse us. I believe we've... found what we're here for." She looks at the wizard and motions with her free hand for him to come along before she turns her stride. She stops at the door and considers the darkness before her. A moment of thought was all she needed before she'd open the door and notch a Flare Arrow. As she draws the string, the tip of the arrow (a ball in shape, made of a soft, sticky material) begins to emit simple lantern light. She takes aim and fires it, wondering at the nature of the darkness before her.

Hey, maybe she'd peg somebody.

Everything went dark. It was creepy, and coming here was a big mistake. Not one of the group at the moment were capable of fighting a powerful foe. "Tsk." He tried to look around, but it was pitch black indeed. He was weak, and had very little magic left. After all, they weren't supposed to need magic to complete this job. He squeezed the remnants of what he had left, into a faint glow from his body, allowing them to see a few meters around them. Prince had found them, and taken them away from the inn though, and to the others. "We have to leave now. Trinity." He appealed to her. "You can trust mine and Sasha's judgement, if we stay here, somebody is going to get hurt, or die, no doubt." He grunted, folding his arms.

Jack, the Maiden of the Mist

Interacting with: Rose and Elyse
Where: Phoenix Wing guild hall

Elyse nodded and ran off to their room, more then happy to get away from the scene right now.

Jack just stared up at the ceiling a bit longer before turning towards Rose.
"Our name... what other name could we possibly have? It matches us since it does not fit us. We belong nowhere... not yet at least. Maybe, given time, we might have a home." She said before thinking a bit."We are a maiden of mist. Only in it's cool embrace do we feel safe... we feel at home in it. Outside of it, the world is a place that we treat as a plaything. We who deal death know how fragile life really is. As such we're not afraid to do whatever we want sometimes."

Sighing, she turned back towards the ceiling and remained quiet for a bit.
"We cannot stay here. We've attacked the guild twice. The master does not trust us. The other man who is here, the one with the black flames... a God-Slayer. We will join his guild. Maybe find a home, a family... step out of the mist and try to view the world differently. Even without the lacrima, he could control us as well as Jamie. Our magic is powerless against him. The lacrima could be used for we get out of control if he was powerless."

Looking back at Rose, she actually looked a bit scared.
"Is it worth it? Is all the pain that comes with this... family stuff worth it?"

Amelia let go of Jarvis and slowly got to her feet. She was a bit shaky but otherwise she seemed to be fine thanks to Jarvis' emergency treatment. "Thank-you again Mr. Jarvis." She said."Uuummm... can you help me get back to my room. I don't think I'll make it back on my own?"

Wes

Location: Phoenix Wing Guild Hall

He listened as the Wizard Saint spoke and soon heard Jarvis warnings. “Jack, I understand that the Council was not the best in the past years after the events a hundred years ago. But that doesn’t excuse the action the Jamie had to choose and was not the best way to set an example. Perhaps negotiating didn’t work out as plan, but to destroy and leave the Council in the way that they left it. It may inspire other group of wizards to follow the same course of action, especially since the guild’s fight with the Council was victorious. I rather not be the cause of something like that, but I’m probably already am. I disappeared three months ago in Earth Land, if I didn’t, then the guild probably wouldn’t have gone through such an effort to find me. If I didn’t leave, maybe if I was stronger then, the fight with the Council might have not been that devastating and there wouldn’t have been the battle between my group and the guild in Edolas. I’m probably more to blame for all of this. That’s why I decided to leave the guild, so I wouldn’t become that problem again. Besides, I was always better by myself when I was away from the guild.” Slowly stepping away to go up the stairs, Wes had one last time. “I don’t think the guild is bad or good, all I can say is that I can’t trust it at the moment. But for when I’ll come back, I don’t know for sure if I will ever return to this Phoenix Wing.”

Wes took a few steps up the stairs, but didn’t forget what Jarvis said. “Don’t you remember? You and the other guild members found your way into Edolas just to find me. But although Edolas already had current events with their own people, you and the guild still decided to join in the fight to dethrone the false rulers. However, the guild wasn’t of much help since most of the edolasians were the ones who decided the fate of the battles that occurred. Even when you tried to stop our group to from traveling to Edolas, a few of us still found our way here. If the problem about over population, Gentsai’s meta powers would be enough to support the edolasians. Something short term like those won’t affect the this flow of balance between the two worlds. But if there was an upset of balance between the two worlds, it would be Edolas that greatly suffered from it. With Edolas’s sudden loss of all their magic about over a hundred years ago and Earth Land’s loss in trust of magic causing fewer number of wizards. Perhaps during those years of loss, the two worlds are trying to naturally bring back their magic to how it was originally. I lived in Edolas for a third of my life and lived the rest in Earth Land, with enough time to from both perspective to know that that this upset occurring between the worlds to you speak of might be because both are already in a state of reconstruction from their loss of magic a hundred years ago. Currently, the upset that you see could just be the worlds trying to revert themselves to how they were before.”

He took a few more steps up but didn’t leave before finishing with a sigh as he continued. “But what do I know? Supposedly Phoenix Wing will always be that good group that tries to find justice, yet we have myself who was a member and now seen as the bad guy. I’m only speaking how I feel on the subject. Or is a supposed ‘villain’ like me, not entitled to speak my own mind and truth? Like I told Jack, I’m probably partially to blame for the guild’s recent actions since they really wanted to find me. And to find me from such length, I don’t know how else to give my thanks. A simple thank you wouldn’t do. But I rather not be that reason again for the guild to do such things. So this is good bye Jarvis.” After that, Wes left and went to his room to pack up his things for his departure. Unsure if he will ever return. Once he gathered everything he needed, he went back downstairs and handed Jarvis his room key since he was leaving and wouldn't need the room anymore. "I wish the guild the best of luck in the future Jarvis."

Sasha

Sasha flinched as the hand grabbed her shoulder, but as Prince spoke, she relaxed. The darkness disappeared as suddenly as it had arrived. Sasha blinked at the sudden light, but couldn't see any sign of their attacker.

She waited a few moments, but nothing seemed to happen, and Sasha looked about. This seemed more of a scare tactic then anything else, and Sasha couldn't help but wonder why someone would want to try that.

"Is everyone okay?" she asked, concern evident in her voice, but none of the innocent towns people seemed to be injured, only a little shaken up, which was understandable.

Jarvis

Jarvis shook his head, "Everything we have found shows that Edolas is responsible for what has happened. The imbalance, the leak of magic into Edolas, is because of your transfer. We didn't expect to be so suddenly transfered to edolas. It just happened. Perhaps because of that unbalance, and as half of the people that got transferred to Edolas were beccause of the actions of both the magic council, and your Edolas counterpart, it can once again be traced back to Edolas. And if we had taken over the, and led to the true leaders taking control, then their own power would be undermined by ours. Should we have just taken complete control? By transferring more Edolasians here, it will upset the balance even more. I can see you don't believe us, and thus, you will have to find out for yourself. I just hope it doesn't result in too much horror for both worlds" Jarvis's tone was annoyed, and more than frustrated, and he turned away from Wes, dropping the key on the bench, shaking his head.

His expression softened as he turned to Amelia, and he nodded, gently scooped her into his arms, being careful of any hurts she might still have, and moving up the stairs, back to the room he had chosen for her. Putting Amelia back on the bed, he glanced about, "Do you have any spare clothes?" he asked, "Do you need anything?"

Penny

Penny watched what was happening with annoyance, as she dismissed her flames, but still watched Death/jack with suspicion, but as Wes made a big fuss, it seemed to Penny, she rolled her eyes.

"it seems to me leaving is an ungrateful way to repay the guild for all they have done. You have very little idea how things are out there, without guilds, and without a believe in magic, do you? Oh, that wanted poster shows that you do know some of it. But you don't. You may find that your "New" Friends aren't what you want either. Nothing is every truly good, or truly evil, but rather, what the people make of it. I joined this guild for my sister. But I've seen the good it has done. So go, do what you want. Obviously you were never a true member of the guild"

Weary herself, Penny gave no chance for a reply, but instead, retreated to her own room, for now, hoping for a few hours rest, before heading out once more, shutting her door, and sitting on her bed.

Ayame

The sudden action of Jamie made her nothing but quiet and terrified. Jamie wasn't a person she could completely get along with well and she hasn't even know him for 2 hours. It did feel rather soothing having someone with a powerful title protect you for no reason whatsoever. That was it it was called kindness, something not all the people in this world have. She could put on a small smile before being put down again and being asked to watch over Elyse while at it. She gave a quiet and shy nod and tried to stay close to ELyse while the others tried to capture the evil guy with some sort of bottle that made people smaller. She hadn't seen anything like that before and made her wonder on several things in fact. Stuff like if they might try to kidnap her into a bottle like that. Only shivers would grow down her spine.

After a small while the fight had finally succeeded as it seemed and she still had Elyse in her sight. The mother of Elyse had asked Elyse to bring some first aid bandages and needles for her in their room and before she knew it Elyse had already flew off. She hurriedly followed the blonde towards her and her mother's room and luckily succeeded before losing the way through the big guild. She just quietly observed her at first seeing if she could do it on her own and not needing Ayames help at all

Jack Goran|Phoenix Wing Guild Hall

"Saints are chosen for their strength and their willingness to fight for what they believe is right. And I believe that Dark Guilds are part of the reason things happened the way they did one hundred years ago. I'm making you aware of that." Turning from the girl, he approached the other "Jack" and debated one what to say. He was somewhat distracted by the way things ended between Jamie, Jarvis and Wes, but it was nothing that he didn't try to prevent. He thought on how the rest of the guild would react to her presence, though perhaps it was one of those times where the rest of the guild didn't need to know a new member's past.

After some debate, he held a hand out to Rose for the lacrima and the other to the other "Jack". "I will take you into my guild, young woman. However, I want you aware that I will be watching you closely and that I do not want my trust, something I am giving you, to be for naught. That said," he indicated the lacrima, "I will ask you to give me your trust when I say that I will not use the lacrima any more than I absolutely must, and I hope that I do not have to use it at all. Can you agree to this?"
