Sasha's bear once more defend her, as she hissed, and stepped back, it shattered, but it had given her enough time to reach Mayt's side, keeping him behind her, so she wouldn't hit him with her attacks. She brought up more magic, and yelled as she quickly moved her hands, all of her frustration, her need to defeat the enemy, to protect her friend, bubbled up, and she poured that into her attack

"Ice Make: Bird bombers!" This time the attack was different. The birds were larger, came more swiftly and there were more of them then in her other bird bomber attacks. The smashed down around the chess pieces that she was fighting with, and Sasha sent it out further, hoping to hit and disable the Dark Mage.

"You shouldn't mess with Phoenix wing!" She shouted, "You've made a big mistake!"

Room shielded Queen from the blow of the ice birds but Knigt wasn't so lucky. She got hit bu still swung her sword at the Mage. Rook broke the ice at Queen's feet, and she jumped after the wizard with a kick aiming for her head. Sen noticed the birds and as quickly as he could, summoned he other Rook who shielded her from the bombardment of birds.

Amelia had been sitting at one of the many tables in the guild by herself, a cup of tea near her and a drawing pad in front of her were that she was making a picture of the guildhall on. She had been working on the project for several objects and, by a stroke of luck, she had taken her pencil off the pad just as Kelthar burst in rather loudly. The shear loudness of the man caused her to jump and would've ruined her work if he had arrived five seconds earlier.

As it happened, Kelthar sat at her table. Paying no mind to the man, she returned to her work, listening him talk to Jarvis about his last job
"To too tough to make you quieter it seems." She muttered under her breathe as she focused on her work, occasionally taking a sip of her tea.

Mayt had spent this time locked in combat with the swordsman, stopping his every attack, and unable to land a good blow. He didn't notice when Sasha was being ganged up on, noticing would lead to thinking about it which would distract him. Getting him injured or worse. He would work on forcing the King to take a bad position, though he knew someone this skilled would never, and Mayt knew he would ultimately lose. What was saving him now was his magic, not his skill at his sword. He did notice when Sasha was next to him, but didn't quiet know why until he managed to force the King to back off for a moment, and looking up.

Mayt, seeing the woman jumping at Sasha, beat her there, taking a few running steps and jumping, blade heated to the max he dared, and sliced at the queen, aiming to either remove her leg or through her stomach. In a moment of cleverness, he stopped the queens movement, reflecting it onto itself and forcing her to fall to the ground, right to Mayt. He began striking out at her, aiming to kill, and getting closer with every strike. They. Will. Not. Hurt. Sasha. Were the words that ran through his mind as he viciously swung at the queen, moving towards her with each slice.

Kelthar explained to Jarvis, "There was this guy who was guarding the item and he had this cane, and I'm thinking, oh simple i'll just retrieve the stolen item and leave he can't do anything. Boy was I wrong he started causing the samurai suits around him to come to life and attack. it was a bit annoying to fight but I still pulled ahead." Kelthar said, as he now turned around him looking at the small little girl behind him who had just made comment about him being loud. "AMELIA!!!!!!" he shouted as he hugged the small girl tightly. "Why it's good to see you again! How have you been doing?" he exclaimed, "I hope all is going well for you!"

Kelthar smirked, "I know I can be loud and I'm sorry if I disturbed your drawings. I'm just so excited to be back here and not by myself! You know?!" He smiled graciously at her showing nothing but kindness in his smile. Kelthar grabbed a chair as he pulled it up making a bit of a squeaky noise. He sat on it facing towards Amelia. Kelthar put his feet on the table and could see the discomfort in a few people's faces, "Come on guys just keep calm, you are all too stressed." He said as he took out his Ukulele and started playing a nice soft melody. He looked over at the Request board now and asked Jarvis to bring him a few of the quests. He knew he was already thinking about going out on another mission but he had to get more powerful.

The thoughts of how he wasn't quite strong enough to protect his friends yet raced through his head. It was only a few seconds after that, that he realized he had started playing a sad tune instead of a calming one. He realized he should probably not bother Amelia with music too much. So he put his Ukulele away as he leaned in. "Well... sorry for once again ruining your time drawing Amelia." He said in a now monotoned voice.

As the male wizard attacked Queen, King ran at him swinging his swords. At the same time Queen dropped to the ground wounded. Sen summoned the female Bishop and her remaining Knight. The knight charged in attacking the female wizard as the Bishop ran over to Queen. She opened her medical kit and began treating the wounds.

Sasha had been preparing herself to create another bear shield, but then Mayt had jumped in front of her, attacking the Queen, and Sasha took the moments respite to hand, pondering, quickly, the two new attacks she had just done.

Sasha saw that te bishap was helping the Queen, and she leaped aside, dodging the knight, and attacked the Bishop, "Ice Make: Tiger impact!" The tiger formed once more, a hammer with teeth and claws, aiming downards towards the bishop, as Sasha followed up with "Ice make: Bird Bombers!" She was going for hard hitting attacks, and essentially, aiming for disabling the pieces around her.

Finally, almost as an after thought, "Ice Make: Bear Shield" The giant bear formed again, defending her back.

Vanu was just sitting in the guild hall reading a floating book about spirits. She had found it in a bookstore during her last job and it contained quite some interesting theories and such about spirits. Still nothing about spirit magic though, books about spirit magic were rare since you had to able to at least see or feel spirits to use it. The writer was obviously one who felt spirits, but didn't see them and she particularly liked how he described how each kind of spirit felt. She herself could see and feel the souls, but they just looked like wisps. Her musings were interrupted though when a very loud music started playing. She knew only 1 person who made such a sound and when Kelthar walked inside she knew for certain. As always he was talking very loud.

She then saw him walking over to Amelia and since she was completely pulled out of reading she figured she may as well talk with them. Kelthar always had some interesting stuff to say about his jobs. When she got closer he started to play a sad tune on his ukulele and apologizing for ruining Amelia's drawing time. "You also interrupted my reading time" She said while pointing at the book one of her spirits was keeping afloat next to her. "Also hi Amelia, can I see what you're drawing this time?" Once again her spirits started to act a little weird when she got close to Amelia. She once asked Amelia if she used spirit magic as well, but she didn't want to talk about it so Vanu didn't ask further. She guessed it was some sort of secret and since Vanu kept her right eye a secret she figured it was something like that.

Mayt jumped out of the way of the King, grunted, and pressed against him, forcing him back against the bishop and the queen, and then keeping the pressure up, pushing as hard as he can to finish all three of them. Slicing, hacking, and fighting more akin to an animal to a man. He would obviously withstand light injuries in this encounter, but anything that could end up being fatal he stops, and uses the now awkward position of his enemy against them. Also using the injured state of the queen and distracted state of the bishop. He was going to win this fight. As each strike nears or hits his opponents, he draws as much heat as he can from their bodies, further weakening them.

Sen felt the pieces getting weaker. Nonetheless they had to fight. All of the pieces tried their best. Each doing its job. Meanwhile, Sen headed towards the cage slowly, she would try and free her comrade. She leapt from tree to tree trying to stay unnoticed, making as little noise as possible.

Sasha continued to fight, refusing to give up, not when it wasn't just her life in danger. She had dragged Mayt along with her, asked him to help her with this job. She would not let him be hurt or killed here.

"Ice make: Hawk Arrows!" This time, three hawks formed as arrows, aiming towards the Bishop, the knight and the Queen, large, and powerful, they aimed through the air fast. Then she followed up with "Ice Make: Floor" Hoping to cause the pieces to fall over, so that Mayt could finish them. Or at least so she could round them up, and put them in a cage.

Sasha was more then confident that the two cages around the fallen ninja would hold. Her butterfly cages had a habit of rearranging themselves when attacked, always aiming at keeping the prisoner trapped, and they were thick, and could withstand a lot of damage. With two of them, she was more then confident.

She hoped this would end soon, she was slowly running out of energy, and knew she wouldn't last much longer.

Amelia winced when Kelthar shouted her named and was flat out shocked when he picked her up and hugged her. When he set her down she straightened out her now ruffled cloths and sat back down in her seat to resume her drawing of the guildhall. She also watched Kelthar, noting that the man seemed to be a bit down, something that was supported by the sad song he was playing. Kelthar himself realized this and stopped playing before apologizing to her and interrupting her 'drawing time' as he put it.
"I can draw anytime, it's not like there's an hour dedicated to it or something." She said as began adding finer details to her current sketch just as another member of their guild, Vanu if she recalled correctly, came over. Amelia's attention turned to Vanu's spirits, which weren't wisp to her but solid human beings. Her gaze didn't linger long as Vanu asked if she could look to Amelia's work. Amelia responded by snapping her sketchpad shut and shaking her head. Again, another thing on the long list of secrets she had. Even after being in the guild for over a year she still didn't reply really trust anyone but that was due to the nature of her upbringing rather then the people themselves.

Mayt pushes against the three, literally disarming the king before dispatching him, then the bishop, then simply decapitating the queen. Once he's done with them, he stands there panting for a few moments before charging the person trying to let the other ninja out. He would try to tackle her, aiming to bring her down to the ground and pin her, possibly with his sword if she proved too much trouble. He would kick, punch, and slice to get her down, and hold her there. Refusing to give in, and knowing if he defeated her, Sasha would be alright.

As Mayt helped deal with the pieces, Sasha stood up straight, brushing back a loose strand of hair. and stepping up beside him when he went to attack the mage, and she shifted, studying her cages, satisfied that they would hold.

She stayed beside Mayt, letting him attack, and she prepared herself to help him, "You should stand down" She said, her voice soft yet carrying. "You don't have to do this" She moved her hands, waiting, and watching, ready to help fight, or to protect Mayt.

"Your guild is a bad guild, killing people who have been trying to help a sick city. I won't stand for that, and I won't stand for attacks on my friends"

She stepped closer, but just enough so that she was just behind Mayt.

"You're fighting the wrong guild now"

The only thing that could be heard while Isaac Milton was walking though the forest was the crunch of dead leaves and other decaying organic debris under his feet.
He was on his way from the Ragged Brotherhood's territory to Magnolia city.
Unmasked, he felt like he was doing something wrong. What if the one he hunted recognized him?
"No that's absurd... I MYSELF don't even remember what he looks like." He stopped walking a second and glanced left and right, "But what if I miraculously recognize him? I have to be prepared."
As he walked, he recognized a familiar figure in a grove.
"Selk"
Isaac ignored it.
Many more minutes of walking ensued
As soon as he sighted the outskirts of the city, he pulled his wooden mask from a small satchel that he wore on his back.
He lifted the mask/helmet over his head and brought it down over his face.
Isaac felt safe.
City sounds filled his ears as he wandered deeper into the city.
He didn't know why he was there, he preferred to be alone or around the Ragged Brotherhood's territory.
Isaac received strange glances from some people, noticing his mask and his swords, Avarice and Malice.
They were unsheathed, for no sheathes could encompass the curved tips of his masterfully crafted swords.
This seemed to make a fair few of people uneasy.
He continued to wander.

Selk Sarvog and Sylla; The Ragged Brotherhood

Quiet. It was always quiet. That's what Selk liked about this place. Sylla sat next to him, sleeping. The sounds of the grove were there, like always, but Selk noticed small insignificant changes every day. A new animal moved in a few weeks ago, and it had been forced out today. Nature was cruel, relentless, but it was important. That was what Selk had believed, anyways. He also believed that it was in danger, though this was not necessarily the case. But Selk believed it whole-heartily. As he sat in the quiet, he put his head against Sylla's hide. She didn't stir from her slumber, but she seemed to move comfortably. Selk sat, listening to her breath. It was heavy, and one could easily tell she was aging. But Selk knew she had a few years left in 'er. He kept his head there for a time, not bothering to look about. The Ragged Brotherhood was doing better than he had once imagined it would. He was second in command, taking orders from The First and only The First. The two had known each other for quite some time, though they could not really call one another friends. They were brothers-in-arms, and no more. Selk felt himself drift off into a slumber, surely if someone needed him they would wake him. Sylla and Selk both snored heavily, and if anyone passed by, their ears would surely alert them of this.

Aedius looked at the island ahead of him, with a blank expression on his face. He was on a fairly large boat which had several Ragged Brotherhood cultists and an ensign, which sailed towards the island he was looking at. It was far to the south of the main base of the Ragged Brotherhood, and was an extremely small island to the point of near-insignificance. There was only one village on this island, and Aedius planned to "retrieve" things from it. He about what The First said - regarding the island; he had given him a mission to fulfill.

'Aedius, to the south there is an minor, primitive island known as Aroway which has refused the Brotherhood's demand for unity. This same island also has a large amount of uncharged Lacrima on it; something which Aroway has also refused to give to us. I expect you to go to Aroway and change their minds. Take other members of the Brotherhood with you, and represent the clan.'

This would be a simple task. Aedius had already anticipated that whoever led the island's village would never accept their demands by choice, perhaps their Lacrima was precious to them, or perhaps they wanted to be independent - or both. It didn't matter to Aedius however, the will of the Ragged Brotherhood was absolute in his mind, and he would fulfill this plan in order to better the Brotherhood. As his ship approached the island, Aedius began to prepare his Arc of Undead magic, conjuring weak skeletons for such an insignificant encounter with the locals.

"Can you at least give me my pieces, they are my life and my friends. I can't summon them right now anyways," Sen asked. She was starting to question wether she really wanted to stay in her guild or not. Her guild was cruel. Perhaps she should leave and join their guild. She didn't know if they would let her though.

Sasha blinked, a little shocked at that request, but she gritted her teeth and steeled her nerve, "you've used them to help kill" she said softly, "you've tried very hard to kill us. Why?" She asked "why join a guild like the one you are in, if you care about your pieces?" She asked, staring at the Mage. She stilled kept her magic at the ready, waiting for any sign that this was all a trick.

"Being part of a guild means being able to trust your comrades with you back. Ask yourself-who that Mage in my cage do the same for you, and try and save you? Would they risk their lives for you?" She fell silent, looking over to Mayt and smiling. Knowing that he was fighting for her.

Because that's what Phoenix wing was about.

"If I left, who would accept me. Who would accept someone who used to be in an evil guild. And, please give me my pieces, their my only true friends who have always been there for me," Sen responded. None of her guildmates would risk their life for her. But who would accept her, a member of an evil guild. None of the guilds Sen had fought previously would.
