Gardevoir has always been good and I would argue that Metagross always was too (though that last bit isn't popular opinion). Sableye was super stronk before because it was bulky, had Prankster, and had access to both reliable recovery and status moves on top of no weaknesses. It could stop damn near any physical attacker and even many special attackers. Gardevoir was good with it's relatively high SpATK, people would often put a Choice Scarf on it and make it a revenge killer. Mega Gardevoir is REALLY good (though I don't see people use it too often...) and can put in so much work if the right plays are made. Metagross was always a good Pokémon but the problem was that there were other Pokémon that could do what it did but better. Mega Metagross, however, has so far been proven to be undeniably badass and versatile. I have two of them, in fact. My favorite Mega Metagross is my special attacking one because nobody ever expects it. Though people also don't expect my non-Mega Metagross, so that's always a plus now. tl;dr: Yes, they are both good Pokémon and can be good without being Mega. Though also very good when Mega.

_Growls at the guild_ I'm having trouble with the internet and maybe the guild at the moment. I'm going to explore those problems. **The Irish Tree**, Expolar, Zarkun and I have discussed a way of introducing your chatacter, and I have been trying to PM you but it has not worked. Expolar will, hopefully, give it a go soon and we can see if you like the idea

I think I might still use the stuff up the top of the box. Just easier. Except for the other stuff, of course. So, apparently I was having trouble sending a PM to multiple people because of a bug in the system. I don't know why it appears to work for others, and not me, but Mahz has fixed it now.

What, the game itself? It did get frustrating at times. After I've finished off the contests and the battle tower thingy, I"m going to restart it, but this time use Mudkip. With torchic, it just seemed too easy

no its just things seem to happen weirdly this time. for example I've gotten more criticals in this playthough then I have in the rest of the games i've played i'm pretty sure. and I'm at mount pyre. oh and they are criticals when I don't want them! fore example I used slam on a vulpix I was trying to catch and the second one criticaled and it had a special move too... :(

Huh. You might just be luckier (or less lucky) because the crit ratio never changed. Always been at something like %6.25 if I recall correctly. Perhaps you use PokémonAmie too much. XD

Yep. If your Pokémon has a high Affection towards you, which is only determined by PokémonAmie, it is more likely to get critical hits and has a chance at surviving attacks that would otherwise KO it. Of course, these effects only appear in the playthrough as the Affection element is removed for wifi battles and in the Battle Maison.

It's a good way of making your pokemon more powerful. I didn't know that until I started playing Omegaruby, and had the handbook.
