Accel World is not a Giant mecha anime... It's about a virtual reality fighting game in which the characters take the form of dual avatars which are usually human sized/shaped with some more animal features each having special design, color, appearances and abilities chosen by the game based on their deepest fears and insecurities. More or less something like that XD I mean I guess you could call it virtual reality... It's kinda that, but the game is like... it's own thing. If you lose too much or like all your points or something it erases itself and all memories involving it from the users device which is generally connected to the mind. I mean it's called a Neurolinker so yeah XD

I could probably get it... If there were more than one character with a giant machine... But their isn't... And the machine is an added gear that doesn't move o_o So... I can't accept it being called a giant mecha anime... Gurren Lagann. Now THAT is a Giant Mecha Anime. One I love, but still. Accel World is definitely NOT a giant mecha anime. If anything it's a video game anime with some steampunk(I guess?) stuff thrown in. No different from .Hack or SAO or Log Horizon(I think that's the never... Never watched)

Sorry... No... I saw only DRRR! Still need to see season 2... But I enjoyed the english cast and there are so many moments where more than one character speaks at one in that show that I need to watch in english.
