I don't know enough about magic to know how to answer this. But right now, for all intents and purposes it's still there. As I understand Fairy Tail magic, the spell is still there it just has no power to remain active, and since it's 'deactivated', it'll either take returning to Earthland or having his mother re-activate it for it to start working again. (So using an X-Ball would have no effect on it) Edit:

No, Relics of the Gree event is on, so it's a big mess in the PvP area and I got ganked by both Imp and Pub players for no reason other than they freaking could.

In certain areas, yes, and the PvP area for the Gree is one of those areas. However, griefing gives no rewards in ToR, because it's not a warzone. No valor, no commendations, nothin'.
