Hm, the most common magic that seems to be used almost constantly at the guild is transformation magic. I am unsure how to do that with Ariel.

Mithera is a variation of transformation magic. I go by the base magic. So Ariel will never learn a specific form of Maker magic, only potentially what element/material that the Maker is using.

There's also Yippee's new character, Shujin that uses metal make. But what I meant was that of the people who use dark related magic, I don't think any uses their magic like maker magic.

Trinity uses Requip, but mostly for musical instruments. She's got two, three weapons she uses it for. I dunno about anyone else.

We have one Requip mage, and she doesn't really use it for anything offensive in all reality.

I'm just going to say it right now. When you showed your character, I couldn't help but think of Erza and found it funny lol. But the appearance is fine nonetheless.

Damian has requip magic that allows him to summon different kinds of blades and Trinity that summons instruments that she just plays (there's nothing really magic with the instruments, they're just instruments). But it feels like I'm forgetting another requip wizard

Well, Trinity does archery. It could be interesting to have another spin on Archery, through requipping different bows and arrows. Like Lyon and Gray are different ice makes, and especially since Trinity will (eventually) start using Energy Make. Openly.

And that's fine because Ariel's magic doesn't always work the same. So the method by which she uses a magic can deviate from the original.

any kind of weapon, and even non weapons, are available for requip. You could do axes
