Angelica scrambled to her feet as a boy sat on the wide couch, far away but still to close for her to handle at the moment. She knew they would arrive at some point, but not like this...at least she would have hoped. She had been waiting for an hour, watching the news feed as her new team scrambled to fight off villainy, all the while she had been stuck in the tower alone, just for a sloppy reunion. She watched them silently as they seemed to ignore her, deeming her unworthy of their time? Or maybe they were busy, but still...that gave them no excuse. 'Wow, what an amazing crew.' She thought, deciding to voice her opinions. "I guess you're all too caught up in whatever this is to greet the new arrival, how nice." And with that she disappeared, in a flash of black she was at the door to the living room, leaning against a wall and staring at them, once again in silence. She did this as a defense mechanism, moving away so she could plan her attack, and sort through her thoughts. This was kind of like planning an attack, but in a more basic and friendly way. Well, not exactly friendly....
Angelica wished she could like these guys, wished she could call them her buddies. But she couldn't, she was an outcast, and she would probably never trust them. All because her parents had been murdered by the earlier generation of this group. She knew she was being harsh, but she didn't care. Being harsh was her thing, and she liked having a thing, that meant she was someone. Even when she was trying to be ignored she could be something, in her own head. She singled them out, and studied them, getting her first impressions from afar. Who said she had to interact?
The one scanning the files looked like a hardass, too serious and official, and a dork in some sense of the word.
The other one, he was...cute. She would never date him, but he was one of those heroes that made ladies swoon and fall over themselves for autographs and pictures of him in those cheesy tights. She hoped he was nice, but he seemed a little dramatic, and he also looked like he would try to control the group.
"What's happening, guys? Are you planning an attack? Or are you just messing with files like dorks? Are you even paying attention?" Angelica moved across the room, she meant to stomp though her stupidly insistent footsteps were silent. She poked the handsome one on his broad shoulder. "You, hey, what are you guys doing?"
