The man lead Jacque back to the same unloading area as before. Except this time, there was no cars, no trucks, nor even a lot of people. Just that young man from before and the two burly guys who took Jacque here the first time. Once they arrived the jewelry shop worker was dismissed. The young man from before walked over to Jacque and handed him a business card. The young man was Donny Lee, Ground Manager of The Hmong Village (That's the shopping area they were currently at) Warehousing. On the card, the decoration of a
non-specific wildflower. "We saw how you handled things out at the produce section. Very good, very good. We want to reward you for your help, but also we want to give you a job opening; we lost some good men out there, and seeing that you can handle yourself, we'd like to hire you as one of the guards if you'd like. We'll pay you well." Of course, this was all just a cover; while they certainly do what to hire Jacque, it's not as a mere guard. However they wouldn't talk specifics unless he accepted. They still need to screen him some more, but all things considered, he would have to jump through less hoops than others. It helped that the leader herself messaged them that she wanted him, but this was protocol. "You don't have to give us an answer right now. Just call me if you'd like to join and I can set up a meeting to make sure everyone knows who you are."
Katherine and Dominick was driving back home, stuck in traffic due to the recent influx of security guards. Dominick was in a dour mood because his sister wouldn't tell him anything about the attack, constantly telling him not to worry about it. It pissed him off because he wanted to be able to do something, and show off his new gun, but now he just felt useless. The only compensation to the whole incident was that Katherine was taking everyone to a Korean BBQ place, but he felt that this was oddly apathetic considering all that's happened. Eventually they got home and Kathrine went to her room. Jay was still at work but he'd be home soon. His little sister was on her laptop doing whatever it was she did, while their mother watched TV. Dominick was left wondering what he should do. Going upstarts he took off his clothes and began to shower.
