Both being old comrades, but on their last mission things escallated. A secret weapon lab or something similliar got run over by terrorists/vampires and they should blow it up with the help of millers squad(was his first time miller operated with Mithias). Eventually before they reached the pickup zone on their runaway, Cypher was shot and got captured, minutes before the bomb and the facillity exploded. Back then he already had quite an amount of power, so some high ranked officers who were in charge of the operation denied the request to save him...

Made a character!


Name: Bouwe van Rosmalen
Age: 375
When you were turned: 1662 (age 23), 2014 (currently human)
Clothes: Sturdy jeans and a turtleneck sweater. An old ship-captains hat dating from the 1st world war. Around his neck is a small bronze alarm whistle and a tin locket. The whistle has engravings marking it as an old dutch ship-captains whistle dating from 1878. The locket seems like a simple commoner's locket without any markings, it has a small puzzle lock on it.
Hair: Short black hair, poorly groomed
Eyes: a dull blue
Weapons: Stiletto knife, Taurus International handgun (new bought, still in the package)
Powers:
- Had a knack for hypnosis and memory removal. He no longer has this power but he knows how it works and still knows how to word suggestions correctly.
- Can turn (willing) vampires human.
- Knows how to navigate over sea and how to command most ships
- Has military experience (he was a captain in the 1st world war)

Personality:Obsessive and driven. Will not hesitate to go outside his moral code or ask favor's he can't repay if it will help him achieve his goals.

Bouwe used to be a student from Rosmalen, his intellect and social grace landed him a kushy spot as the assistant of the local judge in 's-Hertogenbosch (A large city in the Netherlands). In the year 1662 a large group of women were accused of witchcraft after the church of Rosmalen burnt down in a storm. During the storm they had been away from home to have a private celebration in a barn because one of them was engaged. The local lord accused the group of women out of jealousy of the husband to be. Bouwe and his mentor Judge Gert van Stam were skeptical of course, 1662 was a time where witch trials had almost completely died out. But due to political pressure the judge was helpless to stop the trials.

Bouwe prayed to god that night, asking for something he could do to help them out.
It wasn't god but a vampire who answered. The vampire, who to this day remains unnamed, promised to turn Bouwe. So that Bouwe in turn could turn the accused girls, so that they could survive the water test and flee.

Bouwe accepted, but to his dismay the women hated what they had become. Convinced that they really were hellspawn they confessed everything to the judge and the noble in public. They were all burned at the stake the same afternoon.

Bouwe fled, horrified and disappointed at the gift he'd been given. He vowed to himself that he'd never turn anyone ever again and find a cure to the curse he put on the innocent girls as well as himself.

Years of travel throughout Europe and colonial america made Bouwe weary and careful. Making sure to never stand in the spotlight, and if he did to remove himself using guile and vampire charm.
Even though he was careful he often ended up owing someone some favor, hoping it would be forgotten.
All for his quest to find more pieces of the puzzle.

It is in the year 2014, in an old abandoned warehouse on the edge of Kilo Point, when and where he finds the last piece of the formula.
A ritual that reverses the undead curse.

Hmm. Not allowing Mithias to go back and save a vampire comrade is right up that ally for Mithias to have left SOLDIER. Butt then that leaves Mithias as an ally and soldier as a common enemy.

I just realized I keep making non-combatant characters. (or at least, characters who don't exactly specialise in combat)
So I'll make another.

@Hikiko I'll make him/her the perfect friend.
What did you have in mind?

Maybe something like a werewolf? Alice'd be the only one who could keep him/her in line if he/she goes crazy.

As long as the vampires are safe she's happy. And since she's often mistaken as a child maybe someone to play the "old sibling" type role?

Alias: Autumn

When you were turned:
Clothes: Stylish Casual, he assumes. He knows fuck all about clothing but since he goes trough them quite quickly he needs to buy a lot.
But he does have more money than he knows what to do with so he just gave a credit card to family members who do care. He usually wears black cloth with a dark red felt long jacket.
For defenses he relies on his natural reflexes and tough skin.
Hair: red, trimmed short
Eyes: pale yellow and marked with insomnia.
Weapons: Sledgehammer with reinforced fitting and added grip, virtually indestructible, but kinda heavy.

Grenade Launcher

Rapid fire's large grenades up to mid-range. Grenades explode and drop a child grenade. It is not subtle. Will you let me get away with this?

Powers:

- A voice like poisoned cotton candy. This turns from 'comforting lullaby' to 'unsettling dirge' when he turns.
- Aura of Ruin: Ever since he became on with the beast all started Hale noticed things have started breaking down faster.
Equipment malfunctions often, food rots faster, clothing wears faster.
Due to this he quite often has to buy new equipment and even though he knows a bit about handling firearms, he rarely does, and if he does he'll only use simple and sturdy designs, to minimize malfunctions. (Like the grenade launcher)
- Immunity to ruin and decay, both from the aura and natural sources. The smoking isn't damaging his lungs, and he is barely aging. This only affects himself though, his stuff is still affected.
- Creature's with psionic abilities can suppress the Aura of Ruin, protecting themselves and their nearby surroundings from it's effects. Powerful psions can do this without concentrating (even asleep).

Personality:
- He puts up a front of arrogance and pride. He isn't nearly so sure about himself as he lets on.
- He is very protective of his family, however, that is, the people he considers family. If he has any bonds of blood he doesn't seem to know or care.
This protective streak manifests quite aggressively whenever Alice appears threatened. Someone he considers a little sister.
- General distrust of transportation, especially flight.
- Addictive personality, currently addicted to cigarettes, video games, energy drinks, vampire blood. The vampire blood is a rare treat, he says he's off the stuff but he wouldn't be able to resist if offered.

Hale refuses to talk about his past, or even drop a hint towards his age.
The trained ear might pick up he's immigrated from central Europe at some point.
He treats others as they treat him, repaying kindness or cruelty tenfold.
His addictive personality and need for comfort in the shape of artificial sweeteners and an internet connection has him ill-adjusted to the wilds.
So instead of a wolf pack he hangs around Magnus and his following, referring to these vampires as his "family".

Helps create a character that has a consistent theme to it.
That usually ends up being the theme song to that character's life.
