Apostolos rolls his eyes. "I am well acquainted with both your mother and your father. I have fought by their sides. If you do not wish to fight I will not make you. However the point of all of you coming to this school is to learn how to take your place among the other gods and goddesses. In order to do to do that you must know how to survive with and without your powers and weapons. You are capable of pretty speeches Perry but speeches rarely save the world let alone your life. Perry closes her eyes and begins to meditate and as she does she begins to hear the sound of men in great effort. As her two classmates begin their own struggle she sees in her mind's eye two naked men grappling and throwing punches in a dark stone room surrounded burning torches and men clad as spartans. She hears as well the steady beat of a drum as unseen men chant in prayer.

Two burning eyes stare not at the scared ceremony but directly at her. You are more my daughter than you know" whispers his voice from the darkness.

Perry's eyes snap open as the smell of blood, sweat and smoke fills her nostrils "Never surrender" she hears as if whispered by the wind.
