It wasn't that impressive. It mostly liked like shadow play rather than something destructive. It would be difficult to understand how his ability differs from Roxy's. Without knowledge what he's playing with what he did wasn't that impressive.

Vlad would have to leave Kane alone entirely, locked in a room or something, or even casually bring something up about his past. He would have to get Kane thinking about his past to up set him. When he is among people it gives him something to focus on and distract himself with.

It's much more based around empathy. There's no sense of speech at all, she's just sending the command/emotion.

Ī doubt see could see or since her. But if he watched the shadows closely he might see them flicker, change size and shape, as she moved. Which might give him an idea of where she had gone.
