Having sorted her things out or at least the ones that she considered to be important, Kotone sat down and waited for the inevitable: classes to start, and the class to 'subtly' edge away from her seat, even though that should be more or less impossible in a grid and name-based seating system. Her roommate... was pretty much ignored, unfortunately for the pale girl; the younger of the two was certain that she was just putting on an act... and was also annoyed by the displayed over-familiarity. it wasn't as if she was going to stick around long, politeness would help.
The buns, however, threw her right off, and Kotone took them with a brief 'thank you'... and then began to stare at them intensely, as if they were, in fact, poisoned. Why else would someone give her buns for free? She had the money to pay for things, and she wasn't popular at all... so free gifts were dangerous. Doubly so when it came to food.
