Takako had been scrambling to get all her meager belongings back into her suitcase when she realised there was someone else next to her. Help had'nt been what had was expecting so it caught her off guard. She bobbed her head in thanks as she began scooping the items back into her case in messy pile, she probably wouldn't be able to close the case again but it would do long enough to get to her room. As she worked she looked at her helper from the corner of her eyes. She was an older girl, pretty and cool looking, and more she seemed kind. She had that same air of sophistication that everyone else around her had, but didn't seem stuck up about it. Takako instantly wished she could be more like her. This tall, cool beauty wouldn't have dropped her stuff all over the place.

Once everything was packed away, she put her weight down on the lid and forced the clips closed. She stood up, clasping the suitcase handle in both hands, and bowed to the girl who had helped her. "Th-thank you so much for your help." She said formally, with a nervous smile. She bowed once again and then hurried into the dorm building itself. Once she was in the door she stopped and glanced back out at the older girl. She really did seem like a nice person. Takako took a moment to let her heartbeat calm down, briefly wondering what had gotten her so worked up in the first place.

Takako made her way up the stairs to the next floor and wandered down the hall until she found her room and stepped inside. It didn't look like her roommate had arrived yet, so Takako picked a bed at random and dumped her suitcase on it before flopping down next to it. She laid staring up at the roof, her legs dangling over the side of the bed, and thought about everything that had happened today, wondering if the rest of her time her would be as eventful. She mind wandered back to that older girl she'd met outside. "I wonder if I'll meet her again..." She said to the empty room. She wished that she'd asked for her name.

Mira's eyes lit her face up when she saw Tohru take her guitar out. Never mind that she had asked her to stop being so formal, there was nothing she could do about that but she would try her best to be more casual. She listened to what was being played more than she watched, but every now again and she would look to see how effortlessly her fingers glided across the strings. Mesmerized, she had almost forgot to answer Tohru's question. "Y-yes. I know some cool bands. Well, I think they're cool." Mira covered her mouth to muffle a nervous laugh. Why was she so nervous? Must have been the encounter she had earlier with Haruka-san. She would have to find some time to thank her later.

"I like L'arc en Ciel, they're my favorite band actually, but I also like a lot pop and classical music as well. I like anything that sounds beautiful, really..." She said, pulling her legs up to her chest so she could rest her chin on her knees comfortably. Mira smiled at Tohru when she began to sing, and closed her eyes. It had been a long time since anyone played for her, and she appreciated it.

Nadeshiko Kazamatsuri, Room 203

Well, at least she didn't think she was a creepy. That was a good thing. The last thing Nadeshiko wanted was a repeat of last year... She wasn't even stealing her roommates panties! ...All that often. And yet she still moved to another dorm and left her all alone... But not this time! She hadn't known her new roommate for that long, but she didn't seem at all bothered by her art, at least. She was an artist too, which was great! They already had something in common, even if her art was a bit... Out there.

"H-heh, um... It's, uh.... Um..." Nadeshiko wracked her brain for a complement. Even if it was a bit freaky, she didn't want to upset Cho after she'd been so nice to her... Besides, she was pretty cute, and it always paid to be nice to cute girls. "I, um, uh, I l-l-like the... The artistry... It's a... V-very unique v-v-vision, eheh..."

Slowly, still trembling, the tiny girl got back to her feet, and considered offering her hand. Of course, her hands stayed firmly where they were, holding her sketchbook tightly to her chest. Actual physical contact with another girl would be... A bit too intense for her right now.

"S-s-s-so, um... I'm... I'm N-n-nadeshiko... K-kazamatsuri," she mumbled, eyes staring firmly at the floor. "It's n-n-n-nice to m-meet you, eheh... Um... D-d-did you s-say your n-name? I... Was a b-b-bit, um... D-distracted, eheh."

What.

What?

What?!

What?!

WHAT?!

She.. she knelt down... knelt down... to... to be on... her level... for a few moments, Himawari sat in indignant silence, trembling slightly as her eyes fixed on the offered hand. She couldn't even sum up any words, opening her mouth merely led to a series of sounds best described as "Kuh... kuh kuh... kuh..."

Himwari could hardly believe it. Words failed her. Oh, she briefly recognized the compliment to her plushie collection, but that did little to soothe the anger seething within her. It boiled, higher and higher, even as she struggled to articulate her fury. What could she even say in the face of this?! Why would this girl ever think kneeling down like... like she was some little girl or something... it made her so angry... so... so...

".... I-i-i-idiot!" Cried Himawari, her cheeks flushed with anger and embarrassment. It was... just embarrassing to be treated this was, along with infuriating, "J-just because I'm... I'm sh-short, kneeling down like that! Stupid! Stupid stupid stupid! You're stupid!"

She pointed in an accusatory manner, backing away from the pink-haired girl. This was a terrible first meeting! Just terrible! What was this moronic girl thinking, just... kneeling like that, just because she was taller! Stupid girl, and... and... stupid height!

Junko nodded and opened her mouth as if she was going to say something, but then blinked her eyes with confusion. A...a cute face like a dog? Junko envisioned a fuzzy shiba inu laying on it's side. Junko blushed with a blank expression and didn't know what to say to that.

"I didn't mean to say you're a dog or anything, I just..." Reiko cleared her throat and walked towards the occupied bed, extending her hand. "Reiko Ishida. Let's get along this year."

Junko cracked a smile and hesitantly shook the girl's hand. “Yeah, same to you too...” She tried to say as seriously as she could before almost cracking up. “Now that you mention it, that makes a lot of sense, ya know? I'm a lot like a dog, it's crazy I never realized that!” She laughed for a little bit, then ended it with a sigh. Junko glanced at Reiko and wondered what kind of animal she'd be. Unfortunately Junko wasn't capability of figuring something like that out, it looked like Reiko was really good at noticing people.

“Well Reiko-chan...Oh, hope you don't mind me caling you that? This formality thing is makin me tense.” Junko trailed, almost forgetting what she was saying, then glanced back at the book she was reading before and remembered. “So, you like...uh, noodles?”

L'arc en Ciel...yeah Tohru's heard of them, but they just weren't her cup of tea. If they were on the subject of J-rock, Maximum the Hormone and Dir en Grey were more of what Tohru would gravitate towards. Nevertheless, that didn't inhibit her from getting along with Mira. She had to admit, the girl was kind of cute with her pink her and her cheerful smile. It almost made Tohru blush just to look at her, and that's honestly never happened with much girls, but what Tohru liked of her most was her exquisite taste in music, despite the pop. Though metal is her true passion, Tohru has always enjoyed classical music. Besides, had it not been for Bach or Beethoven, none of the bands she honored would exist. For the duration of her performance, Tohru kept it in acoustic, even through the solo. There was no need to amp up the distortion for this beloved masterpiece. Her fingers eloquently and expertly moved about the neck, striking every cherished note with professional precision, not bad for a street punk she thought, and instead of bashing the hell out of her guitar thrasher style, she gracefully strummed the strings with her pick. "Never cared for what they say. Never cared for games they played. Never cared for what they do. Never cared for what they know. But I know."

For a brief moment or so, the rock chick would glance from her instrument and observe the young girl sitting before her and enjoying her music. An odd feeling buzzed about her head as her eyes somehow transfixed on Mira, a soft smile etching across her pale lips. With one last note strummed, she finished her song, the last string humming, fading away into the thin air. "Well, hope that was beautiful enough for you." She said with a nervous laugh in between. "I'm not much for playing sappy ballads, but every once in a while I'll get the feeling to play something softer. My guitar probably appreciates it." But enough about her. Tohru wanted to know more of her roommate. "So what instrument do you play? You can't tell me you don't either. I know those hands, callouses, reddened fingers, the whole nine yards." She grinned lightly at Mira awaiting her reply. "Ain't no mistaking a musician's handiwork, am I right?"

Rika was taken off guard for a brief moment before realizing her mistake. She was a tsundere who also had a height complex! Rika didn't have that issue when playing the tsundere rule so hadn't forgotten it as a possibility until just now. That's her problem, forgetting the obvious. She mentally slapped herself on the forehead. This complicated matters, especially now that she had already made the mistake. She stammered, trying to think fast on her feet for some damage control. Unfortunately add libs were not her strong suit so she didn't know exactly what to say to make things better. She wanted a script, or at least time to think. Otherwise she might accidentally make an even bigger fool of herself then she already had. She needed to be careful.

"N-N-No, I-I just...," her face flushed with embarrassment.

"Think Rika, think..." she thought to herself.

"Oh, all the excitement threw out my back! he he..." she explained nervously. "Err...actually it was my knee. Silly knee. Both of them, actually. My back mainly, as well..." she forced herself not to start rambling on with the lie. Perhaps she could try to just ease the situation somehow else. "You're not that short. A lot of Japanese girls are like that...err...by that I mean not short. We're all pretty normal...he he..."

She played nervously with her right hand that had since retracted from the handshake position when it become clear that was not going to happen. If only she had more experience dealing with actual people then fellow actors. This was going far worse then expected. She wanted to disappear. Maybe if she just got time to think and Kobayashi-san time to cool off.

"W-w-Well, looks like I have class coming up pretty soon. Gotta go," she said. "Excuse me."

She bowed and then rushed for the door.

Makoto hadn't really expected that. Normally, it wasn't that easy to sway someone's mind. The usual responses tended to be "No", "Who even are you", "Kids are so annoying", and in one occasion, being locked in a submission hold.for about ten minutes.

Still, this person was willing to join? Her asking price was steep... but hey, the position was open. "Ha! A lofty goal for an agent of Order! I like that! Regan Hiryuu, I shall bless you with thy divine darkness! You shall be reborn! And thus, I shall christen you..."

After a moments thought, Makoto produced her phone from her pocket and immediately launched a search online for 'cool darkness names'. This would probably take a while to complete.

Regan grinned, her roommate seemed to be pleased. That was good. She didn't want to see such a cute girl upset, especially when she's done nothing wrong. It wouldn't be right. She watched her roommate as she got excited, and then stopped. Of course, it was only natural that she take a moment to consider the name. Suddenly having to name a general didn't happen every day...

"Wha- hey, now." Regan steps forward and puts on hand on Makoto's shoulder, the other going to pluck the phone from her hands. "What's this what's this, now?" She held the phone up and looked at what the girl was doing. Just as she thought, an internet search. "If you're going to name me something, it better be you naming me. I'm not going to accept some cheap name from the internet." She tosses the phone to the pillow on Makoto's bed, before putting her other hand on the girl's other shoulder, and looking her in the eye. "You take your time and think about it, Yamada-san. You can let me know after classes, if it takes you that long. Got it?"

"Ah, crap. I still need to get changed for class." The girl realized she was still wearing her casual clothes, and immediately started about getting out of her street clothes and into her uniform. She wore some lacy underthings today, if Makoto cared to peek.

Once everything had been packed back away and all the errant belongings of the girl had been gathered up Haruka stretched her back with a sigh. The small first year gave her a cute shy smile and very politely thanked her, alike to how she was used to being thanked back home. She smiled widely to that and was about to say how it was no trouble and ask her name, but the girl had already dashed off. It seemed Haruka was making a habit of girls dashing away from her today. She watched her go for a moment before turning away with a shrug and going to collect her own small camo backpack. It was very small compared to the other suitcases and in comparison held exceedingly little. Haruka had the excellent skill of living off barely anything, all she had with her was a few pairs of clothes, toiletries and a few advanced medical supplies. She easily hefted it onto her back and finally made her way towards the dorm room, recalling the number and so lightly hopping up the steps and onto the second floor.

She searched a little while before finally finding the right gold gilt room number on one of the doors and politely knocking before opening the door carefully, mindful of disrupting her new room mate. When she saw who that was, she gave a happy smile and quickly dumped her bag on her bed before putting her hands on her hips and grinning down at the young first year. She did look very young, with large baleful eyes. She held out her hand gently. "You must be Suminoe Takako, its good to meet you again Suminoe-chan, my name is Miyazaki Haruka."

After Tohru plucked the last notes of the song on her guitar, Mira smiled and clapped for her though it was very proper and barely audible. "That was beautiful, Tohru-Chan! You should play these types of songs more often. You would have the whole school in love with you..." She bit her lip when she said that, wondering if that was something her room mate was into or not. It's not everyday she met a girl that was interested in other girls, but now was not the time to be asking those types of questions. Her face was getting hot just thinking about it, even though she was sure Tohru wouldn't interpret it that way.

Lost in her own thoughts, she held her breath for a brief moment before answering about her own musical ability. She smirked at her room mate. "I do play a little - I'm impressed you could see my hands for what they really are, Tohru-chan." Tucking a section of pink hair behind her ears, she rolled onto her knees and crawled over to the edge of her bed before dangling the upper half of her body over it to fish under her bed. Underneath her bed, she saw her suitcase, and several other cases which she knew held her instruments. Out of the three instruments under her bed, she picked her most beloved, and also made a mental note to unpack after school hours.

"I don't think we will have time for me to play much, Ru-chan because class will be starting shortly...." She lifted herself back onto her bed with her violin case now in front of her, and flipped the silver latches to reveal her stradivarius. She didn't bother putting on her shoulder rest as she would only be playing a little bit, so instead she plucked the strings while turning her fine tuning knobs with ease. All tuned up now, she of course removed her bow and tightened the hairs before tucking her violin under her chin. She pressed her lips together into a flat line for a second, thinking of what she could play that Tohru would like. Air on the G string by Bach

Eyes closed with a very subtle smile on her lips she ran the bow across the strings of her violin to play the master piece that was Air. Her vibrato would resonate through out the room, and her fingers would effortless move from one note to the other. This was one of her favorite songs, and she had a feeling Tohru would like it as well.

This wasn't good. Reiko was getting flustered again. She didn't exactly have a problem with being addressed as Reiko-chan, but she barely knew anything other than Kuriyama's name and she was already wanting to use closer ways of referring to her. Not even her senpai from the drama club last school year called her Reiko-chan, as much as she wanted her to do so. Apart from looking like a dog while sleeping, it appeared as if Kuriyama maintained a rather relaxed, casual attitude. It was better than the alternative, though Reiko preferred being rather calm and deliberate in her manner of speech.

"Noodles are okay, I guess," Reiko lied, "i was just...deciding what to have for lunch today, that's all." It wasn't like she was ashamed of her love of noodles - and of cooking, well, that was partially untrue. Reiko enjoyed cooking, but the problem was the end result of her efforts. "More important...I would prefer not to addressed as such. We're roommates, Kuriyama-san, we're not close friends."

It came off as harsh, and Reiko doubted to semi-apologetic smile leveled towards Kuriyama would be enough to tide the girl over.

There she went with the formalities again, but Tohru decided to let it slide and not kill the moment. Mira was actually a nice girl. Smiling at the pink haired girl's applause, Tohru gave a curt bow with a brief laugh. Her cheeks reddened a little when Mira mentioned something about "love" though. "I might. Every once in a while, I may slow things down to appreciate some of the finer qualities of music. So about that instrument?" Her yellow eyes caught sight of Mira's cheeks, hues of pink and red beginning to bleed through her flustered skin, a sight which caused the singer to slightly raise her eyebrow with a bit of a smirk.

"Yeah, but a few notes wouldn't hurt. We got time." She continued watching as the other girl ducked under her bed after mentioning she played a little, and lo and behold, there it was when she emerged. It was a small, almost guitar-like case, so Tohru had to assume it was a violin or some string type. Lovely. A violinist? Don't see alot of those lately. Then Mira opened the case to reveal not a violin, but a Stradivarius in pristine condition. Now Tohru was very intrigued. Wow! Classy girl, Mira! I didn't think much people played the stradivarius these days. Mira was definitely an expert player as well, finely tuning the strings tighter, lowering the pitch on a few, until she had the perfect harmony, a harmony that when she began pulling the bow across the strings, it sent chills through Tohru's body. Air on the G....she knows that one? I mean...yeah of course she does, Tohru! She just said she was into classical music, duh! But the way she plays...it's just...remarkable...

Starry eyed was the rocker, now entranced by one of Bach's most beautiful melodies, and Mira played it so well, so graceful. I guess this officially make me a music nut she laughed inside. Back in Shinjuku, most of her "friends" would probably mock her if they knew secretly she loved this sort of music, but there was so much eloquence in every note that could convey more emotion than any ballad or slow song some bands would write. The girl remained silent through the brief performance, that same soft smile being drawn across her face, a small hint of warmth finding its way to her heart.

Himawari stared blankly as Rika attempted to excuse what she had done with sudden injuries. Oh, the anger was still simmering there(how dare she directly point out how short she was!?) but the strange attempt at an excuse was even odder. Perhaps this indicated it was unintentional... but it was still really stupid, and that really ticked Himawari off! Especially as she even directly mentioned it! Hmph, the pink-haired girl was lucky... getting to be taller, getting to have anything up front! Sure, she wasn't exactly the most... 'talented' girl that Himawari had ever seen, and wasn't even much bigger... but there was still something and that ticked Himawari off too! Everything about this moment ticked her off!

As Rika attempted to flee, Himawari pursued her into the hall, stopping outside their door to face the retreating girl.

"Don't be stupid like that again!" she cried, calling to Rika as she went down the hall. After a few more moments, she folded her arms and looked to the side.

"Hmph. Idiot."

"Noodles are okay, I guess," Reiko lied, "I was just...deciding what to have for lunch today, that's all."
Junko nodded her head saying something like “Oh okay”, but then the conversation lingered, it looked like Reiko seemed bothered by something.

"More important...I would prefer not to addressed as such. We're roommates, Kuriyama-san, we're not close friends."

Junko raised an eyebrow at Reiko's rejection to her nickname. Maybe that was too forward for her tastes, Junko thought. “Ah, I see. Well...Ishida-san it is then, if that's what you want.” Her response sounded a little more half-hearted and hiding a little bit of irritation. People were so complicated to understand, and one way or another she always clashed with them. She was also so used to being open with people's names and knowing everyone on a friendly level, but Junko could to survive without it. She cleared her throat and tried to move the conversation somewhere else.

“I love me some good noodles, but I'm terrible at cooking.” Junko laughed, “If you ever need a test taster I'm always hungry.”

Raineh Daze said
The offered hand was ignored, though not due to any attempt at rudeness; Kotone was busy sticking the posters to the wall and had no idea that Mikasa was trying to shake her hand. Well, at first, at least--she had to turn around eventually. When she did, the taller girl's handshake was firm but considerably lacking in enthusiasm.

"Shinobu Kotone, second," she replied, before pulling out a chair and beginning to sort through even more of her belongings, now lining the shelves with... action figures? Collectibles was probably a better word; anyone buying those for a child to play with was either insane or enjoyed wasting money, "I doubt anyone else will share your views. What they signify is so much worse than what they ."

The smile upon Mikasa lips merely grew more sweetly as the hand shake was returned - albeit half heartedly. "It's nice to meet Kotone-san! I hope we become good friends!" She exclaimed honestly. Mikasa had a terrible habit of making sure she didn't upset anyone and did everything in her power to keep people liking her. It often put a lot of strain on the poor girl, always stretched to her limits trying to help everyone in need and putting her own needs on the back burner. But she never regretted it, loving the smiles she put on peoples faces or the simple thanks she got after helping. It was like a drug, knowing she did good and helped out in some way.

She then lit up, as if a sudden realization came to mind. "Oh wait! I made something for you!" She chimed sweetly before spinning on her heels and nearly diving into her bag in a hurried search. During her search she heard Kotone speak up about others not sharing her views on Kotone's tattoos. "Let them believe what they want. You seem nice. At least when you keep your clothes on inside the dorm" She teased with a soft laugh. "Oh! Found it!' She exclaimed joyfully as she pulled out a circular. She spun around and held out the box towards Kotone. "Here! I made this for you. Thought I would make a little gift for my roommate as a sort of.. uhmm.. friendship offering I guess you could call it. Oh, they're sweet buns by the way. I am a pretty decent cook."

Mira was glad to play one of her favorite pieces for Tohru, and judging by the acoustic piece her roomie played for her earlier she guessed that Tohru would appreciate it. With each note that her strad-violin produced her heart seemed to swell with joy. It always amazed her how well she could play. There was no denying her own musical ability, and if she wanted to brag about her skill she had every right, but Mira was far too modest and humble to do that. She didn't even need to mention it, when people got a look at her authentic Stradivarius violin they would know her skills weren't to be taken lightly, never mind that she was only fifteen. Finally on the last measure, she finished the song with a well timed decrescendo and soft vibrato. Opening her ruby colored eyes, she looked to her roommate and to her pleasure, Tohru seemed to have enjoyed herself.

With that, she gently placed her violin and bow back into their places before snapping her case shut. She looked at her Sailor Moon wrist watch, and bent down to grab her suitcase from under her bed before dragging it onto her bed. "So, Ru-Chan, was that up to your standards?" She asked with a playful smile on her lips as she unlatched her baby blue suitcase. It popped open to reveal a mountain of pastel colored and typical kawaii print clothes, underwear, and of course her laptop. Mira casually pulled out a pair of mismatched bra and panties before walking into the closet where she expected her new uniform to be hanging. She took it off of the hanger and first changed into her fresh underwear, she didn't like to wear the same undergarments if she was changing into something new. She was weird like that.

After she finished changing into her school uniform, she walked back out into their room and sat back down on her bed and pulled a small bag of peach flavored gummies out of her suitcase. "Ru-chan, want a snack?" Mira offered a couple of individually wrapped gummies to her.

Rika paused in her retreated after the realization hit her that she was still in her street clothes, having forgotten to change after all that commotion. Luckily she caught her mistake in time not to get reprimanded, but now she had to come back to face Himawari again so soon. She spun around on one heel, her head down as she began to make the walk of shame back through the doorway past Himawari's short, grumpy form and her cute little crossed arms. Could there be any way to salvage the situation? Maybe make a joke about her forgetting her clothes? That could deflect some of the negative attention away from the previous fiasco and make her only remember about how funny and clever she was. She saw the uniform hanging up in the closet. Hmm...nothing funny or ironic she could think of about that. It was the standard looking uniform that could be seen in almost any anime. Maybe something about her own clothes? It was a plain white top, lots of gel bracelets, a blue skirt, and brown boots. Nothing too out of the ordinary there either. Hmm....

"So...normally I charge money for people to watch me get dressed," she blurted out, immediatly regretting this and her face turned even brighter red. "WHAT THE %@*#%!" She thought to herself. "That's not even true!!!" She slumped her face against the wall besides the closet, all but expecting the heat from her face to melt all the way through the plaster.

After a few seconds she slammed herself into the closet, struggling with the uniform and her clothes to try to get dressed so she could get ready for class.

Ru-chan? "Heh, I'd have to say yes. That was wonderful! Quite the talent you have there!" Ru-chan, she guessed that was her nickname now, which really didn't bother her. She thought it was kind of adorable really. She thought Mira was adorable really, and the way she played the violin, it was mesmerizing to observe. The two would have to get together sometime and write some pretty rad music, and maybe....hang out some days. Tohru smiled and went back to her guitar, strumming a few chords here and there in acoustic still, while she watched Mira unpack the rest of her items, mainly her clothing, which Tohru had noticed....was completely bright colored and kawaii. Ouch. Talk about having a rainbow shoved in your corneas. First thing we are doing is seriously getting her some new threads. On second thought....no need to force your opinion Tohru. To each their own. However, Tohru quickly averted her eyes to the strings when Mira pulled from her powder-blue luggage case her bra and panties. Wait? She's getting dressed here?! Don't look! For the sake of not coming off as a perv, don't freakin' look!

The teen rock goddess felt as though her face was submerged in Hell, fire raging through every pore on her cheeks, and sure enough they were blushing red, intense red. She dared not to look up and catch a brief glimpse of her roommate in her skivvies, but the offer...just seemed too damn tempting. No! Keep your eyes on your guitar and play. It was an upheaval not to stare, keeping her eyes glued to her pick hitting the strings, yet she was getting tense. Calm...remember your practice. Loosen up, don't strain. Soon, Mira was fully dressed. Tohru could relax. She looked at Mira, now offering her a few peach gummies. Peach wasn't exactly a flavor Tohru preferred, but out of respect, she graciously accepted Mira's offer. "Yeah thanks eh....mind if I call you Mira?" Fidgeting a little, the girl opened one of the sweet candies and popped it into her mouth. It wasn't....really a flavor Tohru was used to, but nevertheless, she chewed on the gummie candy and swallowed it, giving Mira a friendly smile. So far so good, she was making at least one friend here.
