You know what's kinda funny? The Sweepers were originally people willing to do all sorts of nasty stuff to Players outside of the game. Why people didn't pin the murder of the Kings on them or fear them a bit more is beyond me, as they could quite literally sneak in your home and put a knife in your back....

Regardless, the Sweepers were spoken in secretive fear before that announcement. Hence, Donny's "puppy" incident. Given that, it was totally possible for a random Sweeper with no allegiance to just smite all of them one night.

But meh.
