Name: Linda Vogel
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Appearance: See picture above. Linda stands at about 5'6 and has a slender build.
Rank: Private First Class
Class: Shocktrooper
Weapons and Equipment: T-MAG 1, Gallian Militia Universal Standard Kit(USK), shocktrooper equipment, photograph of her younger sister, Issued Combat knife, Gallian Militia Field Manual, B-Type M1 grenade
Personality: Linda is an intelligent girl, though ambitious with big dreams ahead of her. The challenges that come up to Linda are met with equal ferocity as she attempts to figure out a solution. If nothing else, she is willing to bang her head against it until she succeeds, as it is unlikely that Linda will give up. However, Linda tends to have a lot of what she considers "bad luck." Her luck, while she usually perseveres, tends to hit her in hard in the gut or there is always a catch that is difficult to overcome. As a result, Linda frequently questions anything that seems handed down on a silver platter, thinking that something worst is going to happen and her reliance on luck is minimal. Linda is also "warm-blooded", preferring colder temperatures to warmer ones. Can be sarcastic or a smarty-pants.
In summary:
Intelligent-"Have to be smart to live in this world!"
Ambitious- "A desire for greatness only makes you stronger."
Strong-Willed- "Those who quit will not succeed!"
Unlucky- "There is always a catch, or something that will go wrong."Bio: Linda Vogel was born during the first world war under a farmer in a rural town called Rorgen. Rorgen was best known as a small humble farming community located in the east of Gallia. Though the town itself was not a border town, it was one of the many small communities in the way of the Imperial march. Either way, for one to get their education they must travel to the next town and begin the education process. As this turned out, Linda's parents decided not to allow their daughter to skip out on schooling despite the need for her to help them out on the farm. As neither of Linda's parents were in the military, Linda lacked most of the knowledge of the military until her classes came up. Of course, the family was not just limited to Linda and her parents, for Linda is the older sister of Isabel Vogel who is about 12 years old and perhaps the only thing keeping Linda sane on the farm she had so much trouble with.
As Linda was a quick learner as a child, she found her grades were high in many subjects, especially history. However, as required for every Gallian student Linda underwent the military classes that were required, making solid grades and making her parents proud. Still, they always wanted her to just stay on the farm and manage it. Linda had other plans than to satisfy her parents in this. She wanted to hit it big and started to plan on going to a university. Every time she started to make some headway in this direction, however, Linda always hit a snag. Whether that was because she did not earn as much money as she wanted to that year or unforeseen "disasters", something always happened to set her back on this goal.
It was not until Linda was 18 when the invasion of Gallia happened. While Rorgen was not one of the first towns to fall, it was close enough. Linda's family decided to get out of dodge while they still could and packed their bags, heading to the capital of Randgriz. However where her family saw their livlihood being taken away Linda saw opportunity, albeit with yet another catch. She was going to the capital where she could succeed in her life and make it big, but there was a war going on and she was not going to get anywhere without something to help her along. Linda knew the conscription was happening and that sooner or later her name will be drawn. She preemptively volunteered for the Gallian Militia much to the protest of her parents and underwent basic/combat training. Given the role of shocktrooper, Linda is green and has not seen combat yet leaving her untested.
RP Sample: Linda felt the sun beat down on her as she walked to the chicken house. She did not know why in the world her parents liked this kind of lifestyle, but whatever reason they had in their mind Linda surely did not follow. It was always so hot, there was mud everywhere, livestock feces filled the air with its smell, and don't get her started with the chickens! Those roosters are perhaps the most annoying things to exist in Europa. She got that they were necessary for more eggs, but why did it have to be her to pick them?
Just as Linda was about to reach the hen-house, swinging her basket lazily, she spied a truck with a few people. As the truck was on the way to the hens, Linda decided to delay her task for the moment and talk to the strangers. "Hey guys, where are you headed?" Linda greeted with a friendly wave and smile. One of the men stopped, a greying man who looked liked he's seen better days, hoarsely replied back to her, "Missus, there is no hiding it. We are refugees who have just barely escaped with our lives. It would do you well to leave here while you can." Linda gave a frown in response to this ill-omen. "Why do you say that, sir?" She asked kindly. "The Empire is on the march, young lady. They will soon be upon you." With that, the man left with the ominous message still hanging in the air. Linda pondered the thought for a while longer as she finally got to the hen house.
Better tell momma and papa about this event after I get this done. My favorite Squad 7 character is probably Lynn. She's amazing.
