Anthony frowns slightly as he says, "I told you to tell me you remember. What do you mean by other stuff, and what powers do you remember?"
Kijani shivered in the corner. She didn't want to remember other stuff. "They... put me in the water." She paused, letting out a shuddering breath. "And... they wouldn't let me get up. They... h-held my head... under... and..." She made a slightly strangled noise. "And just when I was gonna drown, they'd pull me out." Shutting her eyes, she slid down into the corner, her body curled. "They would write things down. And start over." Her chest hurt thinking about it. "...they cut me. All over. My arms. My legs... my tummy. Little cuts, they would bleed and no one would give me a bandaid or anything- they just watched me..." She shook her head. Her dark skin still had faint, small scars on her body, but no one had ever been close enough to take notice. Kijani had used plenty of creams and agents to make the scars fade, and used her clothing to cover the more obvious ones. "The others... they were kids like me. Some of them were older... but a lot of them were younger. One girl was only five. She could make things fly." Kijani chewed her bottom lip. "She had nightmares and wet the bed. And then there was a boy with red hair... he burned stuff. He must have done..something... because they took him away. And a chubby girl with white hair. She could make all sorts of things- lights, and pictures, and even make herself invisible, but it was all fake." Her head jerked up, and her eyes were pleading. "...d-did I do better, now?"
