As Anthony follows Sue to the gym, a war rages in his mind between his cold, calculating side and his less developed, emotional side. As usual, the side rule by logic prevailed, and he walked quickly to catch up with Sue. With his legs being so much longer than hers, within a few strides, the gap between them had disappeared. He slips a note into her hand, and with another smile, he leaves her behind as he goes to sit next to Ben. The note simply says, "There's something I want to talk to you about. Meet me after class."
That was weird, Sue thought to herself. She had no clue why he would want her to see him. Perhaps it was just to discuss the elephant in the room, and get it out of the way. She felt it for the better, she felt less anxious about meeting him. She would have to wait though, as Professor McCoy had just arrived.

Professor McCoy enters the gym and smiles when he sees that all of his students are on time. He says happily, "Well guys, I was going to make today just strength training, but since you're all here on time, let's do something else. Dodgeball anyone?" He closes his eyes and points to three random people whom happen to be Connor, Sue, and Kijani, then continues with his eyes open, "You three are captains, so pick your teammates two at a time. Winner of the first round faces off against the third team. Remember, no use of equipment or powers. That means no suit for you Stark, no spider powers for the Parkers, no super-speed to Ryan, no animal forms, and no telepathy or sonic attacks, etc., etc. Am I clear? Begin" While he waits for the captains to pick their teams, he beings to line up the dodgeballs along the middle of the gym.
Oh God, she thought.
Dodgeball was one of her favourite games, where Sue combined both her aggression and grace into one, practically flying everywhere with somersaults, and spinning and letting go with heavy strikes. She was never a good catcher but she could move
Surely being captain would have made no difference but in this case she was afraid she’d have to make plans.
She can’t talk.
She didn’t think that mattered anyway, and pushed away that thought. Sue tried her best many times to think that most games and competitions were friendly and full of sportsmanship. Sportsmanship was fine, Sue abode it hard to the core; but she liked it with a bit of competition – something internal and subjective that made it all the more fun.
She wanted to pick strategically… "Hmmmmm..."
She pointed at Phoebe and Jack. She was her good friend and she was competent. Jack, she remembered since day one and had never forgotten since, was good. She felt happy with her choices.
She then saw Estella after she put her hand down. She wanted her next. She smiled at her and mentally told herself, hoping that she'd catch it: "I want you next! Is it Estella?
