Jean uncovered her ears " yea just fine." She said and looked at them both. She said. "Mr.Stark I would like to ask you to leave."
Anthony nods and flew off . David sighed and said to Heidi "I like the company you surrounded yourself with." David left silently.

Heidi watched both the men leave. She turned to Jean.

"What happened to David? He didn't used to be that violent."

Ira rolled her eyes and turned to walk away with techno. she still didnt want to speak to heidi but as she turned around she was shocked to see Digit. out of her room..out of the basement. so many red flags went off it wasnt even funny. "Skyler?" Ira Spoke out loud in shock

Skyler AkA Digit. watched the retreating Ironman model fly off into the distance without a word to Ira.

Jean said "It's that stupid MRA. It's got him and Ira mad lately." Jean didn't tell about their plan to make a new Xmen. "I think it and the new brotherhood has made him upset."
David walked to Ira and...Skyler? He said. "Hey kid..I see your out of the basement ."

Anthony decided he needed to make a new suit once he got back to Stark tower .

Heidi sighed. "I'm sorry if I've pissed anyone here off. I'm just trying to do what I think is right. Also, what's this about a new Brotherhood?"

Magnus flinched for just a moment as she touched his half a middle finger, he's over it all and learned the lesson but all the same it still reacts to what should be there. When she seemed secure she wasn't leaving, he took his hand back. "If you want to compare damage, take a look at my file, I'm from an earth where registration passed the first time. If I may ask; 'what's with the pills'? Folder says bipolar, but not why. Is it just genetic or traumatic?" He took up another bun to chew while she explained.

He wanted to pick her brain but he didn't want to talk shop while they hid from their bosses. It seemed odd his grandfather didn't know she wasn't a mutant, then again, this world didn't have 'his' grandfather. All the same it was pleasing to talk with someone who didn't judge him or get all X-phile about his powers.

Jean said "I know you think it's right but I don't think it's right for everyone else." She then showed Heidi the feed the brotherhood sent to everyone.

Zandrea looked at the bottle of pills and slid it back into her pocket "they keep my head clear then my mind fogs...like you seen, its something I always lived with but it gotten much worse in recent years, stress,trauma, all that kinda stuff" she pick some more octopus up with her chop sticks. She didn't mind talking about her past, she lived her life as much of a open book as possible she was curious about the "from an earth" line he said "so, your not originally from this time line?, I don't think I ever meet someone from any when but the now"

Digit held up her phone to David. the message read "hello David. i wanted to see the iron man suit up close"

Magnus poured himself some more Sake as well for her before he saluted and took his 'shot' to wash away the bun before he spoke.
"Maybe you already have but they aren't so forthcoming. In my time line, Azazel and Mystique still have kurt wagner, Eric Lencher and his wife Magda still have wanda maximoff. Wanda Maximoff and Kurt Wagner have me. Now, the original 'cure' made from the boy's power only suppressed the gene, not removing it. Thus when hundreds of mutants were gunned down in san francisco with the cure, evolution still finds a way. For about a decade the mutants were rounded up and neutralized if not simply crop dusted with an airborn variant. Those that resisted around the world became the third world war, the mutants lost and faced a curative genocide. Until they had kids. Millions of children were being born with primary mutations at birth and so a world wide mandate that every newborn in the world was given the cure as soon as possible, that made them immune to further cures when puberty hit and they developed their real powers."

He poured another sake and continued.

"The next great world war was on. Sadly we would loose again. Someone got the great idea to stop making bigger sentinels and instead went smaller. Nanotech sentinels programmed with gene manipulation distributed into all mediums of food and water. My parents knew the war was over now just by a waiting game so they met with someone who could open other timelines and sent me through. I arrived in this worlds x-mansion and did the school thing, but I wasn't to great on being an x-men, thankfully shield made me an avenger."

He poured his third sake and waited for questions.

"Ah, great. Now we have a new Brotherhood. This 'Big Brother' character looks like trouble. Secrets are a very powerful weapon."

Heidi sighs. It was always 'nice' to have another thing to worry about.

"And what did you mean by 'not right for everyone else'?"

she listened to him, she knew only small parts about the dark future that has nipped at the heels of the world "why do we have to always hate when it comes to change" she poured herself another drink when hers was finished "what was the reaction of your parents in this time line when they found out...or of they did, did they know even that they even got together by this point?" she was curious about how these leaks in time effect lives in the now. "nanobot sentinels.....not surprised even my own personal recerch in nanobots can tell you it was only a matter of time...bigger isnt always better" she smiled faintly and rested her hands under her chin and thinking's "if a human mutant war hits, its going to be won the labs and at a computer not in the field and if its one thing the human race knows how to do..its make weapons"

she poured herself another drink raising it up to Magnus "I'm glad I stayed, even if im getting abit....alot buzzed on this amazing sake" she let her gaurd down and stopped hiding the fact she was a light weight when it came to drinking, she wasnt drunk but was getting there "to be honest, i was never a fan of the avengers...i was a x-men girl....they took the same risks, helped the same people but...was never welcomed with opened arms like the avengers....but you know what with you on the avengers i can stand them being around" she smiled and reached for the sake again her cup empty again.

Jean sighed and said "What you and Mr.Stark are doing will make everything worse. Mutants who come out are already met with violence and if they try and fight back, even when they don't use their powers , they face more jail time. I'm sorry my school is met with SHIELD's or the mighty Avengers standards." She looked Heidi in the eye. "You can see what happens next but can't see how this stupid law could create a war."

David nods at Skyler but before he could say anything he heard Heidi and Jean. He looked over at them.

"We're not going to fix any problems by ignoring them. You can't change the public attitude by letting mutants hide. This won't just blow over. No matter which of our paths is taken, it's going to get worse before it gets better."

"Humans aren't going to wake up one day and decide we should be treated like equals. They need to see that we *can* be equals first."

While Digit typed away Ira almost went off again. instead she went back inside where she wouldnt be tempted to do something radical. Digit handed David her phone and pointed to heidi

"a lot of people try to claim they know what we want. but no ones ever sent around a census asking. for the populations opinion. dreams that People like Professor X and Magento fought for..were their own personal dreams that SOME agreed with. I personally don't want equality. I want respect. not out of fear. But most of them fear all of us. we even fear ourselves. Alls that matters to almost everyone is that our 23rd chromosome and allows us to do extraordinary things. instead of seeing us as identical in the other 22 chromosomes they fear us because of one. ONE. suddenly that one chromosome negates us from or "inalienable rights". humans are the ones that made the laws... according to history anyway. but we have to prove ourselves worthy of them being applied to us? even though just by being born on american soil makes us legal US citizen? a normal human 13 year old burns down his house playing with matches. he gets arrested MAYBE charged with Arson. a mutants powers emerge and a house burn down and he is labeled a threat and highly dangerous. the humans juvenile records get sealed when he turns 18. The mutant has to live in fear the rest of his life. niether of them could ever set a thing on fire again in their whole life but one can live a pretty good life. the other a hard life, a life full of discrimination. hated and abuse. tell me how thats fair. "

"You're right. It isn't fair. But that fear isn't going to go away by itself. It most definitely isn't going to turn into respect by itself. Let's say that if a mutant accidentally burns down his house. Covering up up with a story that he used matches? No, that'd be labelling him the bad guy for something he had no control over. He still wouldn't have control over his powers, so even if he doesn't burn another house down, he will constantly fear his own gift. Not to mention that nothing has been done to change human attitude, so even though it's not directed at him, he's still scared of discrimation, and what would happen if they ever did find out. He'd live out his whole life scared and depressed, with nobody to talk to about it.

It makes having to walk bast a few bigots almost the preferable option, doesn't it?

For them to actually see us in a positive light, we need to show them ourselves in a positive light. Believe me, I want mutants to be treated like people too. But there are many mutants I've dealt with who just...It makes me so angry....

Those ones don't deserve rights. Not until they earn them."

Magnus refilled her cup for her each time she went for it, he himself getting warm all over. "People fear the unknown. If all mutants were stamp and stock models then it wouldn't be so bad. But who would ever think my reality warping mom and super speed uncle wouldn't have any magnetic powers of my grandfather at all? 'Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering.' "

Their conversation got interrupted with the arrival of the pork ramen with broth as thick as melted butter rather than the usual water, the waiter served her first then him before departing, a visible look of horror on the missing left finger. Often, when a member of the Yakuza gets too overconfident, or takes needless risks, they have a finger taken from them to reduce hand strength to hold a sword and thus needing to rely on others to help. In some circles this tradition continues today, perhaps the idea of a mutant Yakuza member frightens the waiter.

"As for my new set of 'parents', a quick DNA test sorted out my family line. I call them my 'quantum' family and I feel they resonate closely to my actual family, but its the million differences that make it hard to be around them. Its like replacing you mom and dad with twin aunt and uncle. it looks right, but they didn't save me from a falling building, they didn't teach me sword-fighting or sit by my bed when I broke my back. I get sympathy and empathy, but there is always a jenesequa that eludes it all. Yet another reason I don't do the x-men, it hurts to match to watch familiar strangers."

He took a heavy spoonful of the soul and ate without noise. It was easy to take comfort in the food to calm him back down as the sake had when he describes his old world and now his old life.

"Funny that you say that; X-men fight for equality, Avengers fight for justice. Parallel but never interchangeable. Speaking of parallel, here's a tidbit for you: In my timeline, it was magneto who got paralyzed, not Xavier. Without his legs, my grandfather focused even more on his powers of magnetism to compensate much as how this world's Xavier became the greatest telepath.

Digit types on her phone "your not the law. your just a puppet. being able to control an ability doesn change the fact that they have the ability. maybe your new to america but they fear control more than they feel chaos. chaos is a smoke screen by which they justify immoral action. "control" controls chaos. and the American government is afraid that they are loosing their control. an "out of control mutant" is easy to deal with. shoot him, tranq him, beat him. arrest him. subdue him. all simple method employed for centuries by the US of A. but someone like magneto for example. you think they feared him just because he was a living magnet? no they feared him because he had control. control of his powers and control of the ability to create chaos.

Mutants have saved the world. but they fear us more because of it. all that 'control' that we posses threatens the stability of the government. its very difficult for me to believe that they want to "teach" us to use our powers. all of us. i wouldnt be surprised however if they were trying to find away to get rid of our powers. or a way use us all as super soldiers in the next global conflict since the Avengers work so well. "

"I don't know. There doesn't seem to be any version of this where everything becomes okay. A 50/50 government would be uncomfortable and begrudging at best. A mutant government would be even worse that what we have now, as we'd have power in every sense of the word, it would go to our heads, and we'd exact petty revenge that may lead to genocide."

Heidi sits down, and holds her head.

"And now I have a migrane, Shit."

"i do agree that things should not stay they way they are now. but better for one is worse for the other. we dont have representation in the government. and yet the governments trying to control us.kinda like what sparked the revolutionary war. kind of but not necessarily. I know you realize that the more the government pushes us the harder we will push back. your one of us right? but you don't know what we want. we dont know what we want. but we all know we DONT want the human government, telling us what we think we want."
