I still know so little of Tien's past, like how long it has been since then, or how common it is for people to know the extent of the world's past.
Each God measures time by different way, each unique to their own, so telling you exact dates won’t be easy Elite. Mainly cause it doesn’t leave much of a cushion for us to play around with and the fact rarely anyone have lived from the nukes event to the present. About the only one that would be able to access that knowledge would be the Archmage himself, though it’s unlikely he would survive the effort and tell the tale. So it’s easier to list key events even if your PC will never know them. Hopefully this will satisfy some curiosity until you learn it IC from a few special guests in Act 3. *hushes* Though Lucius might’ve changed Kudd’s part in history but that’s my explanation for why he hates the Gods and tends to be more powerful than any living Demonomancer on Tiien. >_> I also took out most the spoilers in concerns with the plotline. :P
1st age: void-ice age
-Wild magic created the aspects: Ferocity, Intelligence, and Hate. These aspects were the start which when two of the elements clashed, they sparked life to the Gods themselves.
-With the creation of the Gods came a Realm, one that would later on change. It was their play thing and toy; however as is with humans, the divine beings were greedy and such more. Thus they attacked the Aspect seeking to tame their Wild nature for themselves.
-When the Gods went to war with the Aspects, the realm was fractured into three when they clashed: Ivellios, the Inferno, and the Mortal plane. (The Pit’s connection was the path created from the Inferno to the Mortal Plane, in a way connecting them and allowing a way to separate the Soul from their Sins, then banishing said Sin to the Inferno.) It began in the Inferno, where the most of the Gods and two of the Aspects fell twisting the realm in the hellish place it has become. At the defeat of two Aspects, the third was driven back into the Mortal Plane. Too weak to kill him, they sealed him away and froze all remaining evidence of their war with an Ice Age. Erasing any clues of his existence into myth.
2nd age: ice age-nuclear event, the world’s end.
-After the Ice age had thawed and life returned to the Mortal Plane, magic returned to the realm. However with it came something new: Humans.
-Among they was a man known as Satan (Some of the first Angels as well) and quickly was the first to be favored by the Gods themselves, bestowing upon him great magic and power. However, he grew hungry for more and soon sought to over throw the God when they denied him. In the end, they sealed him away within the Inferno to keep him from destroying all they had created. In turn, this became the place where Sins/Demons were created.
-After the use of their power and direct influence upon the world (keep in mind the myths and what not were remains of that), magic started to fade as human technology started to advance. Soon, magic became nothing more than myth/legend/dreams and imagination. When the magic had shown signs of fading, the God managed to seal away a large amount that built up under the earth, some leaked out in strange unexplained event that humans believed they could explain like Northern lights, sighting of modern myths like the Chupacabra, bigfoot, or other such monsters/events/places.
-Time passed and surviving on the storage of magic, they watched the world move along. Inferring had heavily already had a dire result and farther high stakes meddling would likely hurt them more than what damage had been done. Or worse, risk another Satan. Then the Nukes hit and everything the Gods created in storing the magic in the 2nd age had come undone…
3rd age nuclear event- present
-Since the world was in a terrible state, the Gods began anew. Salvaging what they could, include a population of humans, they created Tiien which in the present it now known as. In the end, it became their own personal board game and a patch work of their own whim. (Free this explains why there are bronze veins that ‘naturally’ occur. Some of the metal ores due to the Gods shifting Tiien had overlapped, allowing both types of metal to reside in one vein) It took a blink of an eye but the population would take much longer to rebuild once again to a decent number, even with Divine help.
-When the new humans were introduced to Tiien, they evolved over time thanks to the God’s favor and limited gifts to become the present day races known as Humans, Snow Elves, Forest Elves, Esyires, Orcs, and Dwarves. It was all for the Gods’ designs and entertainment. One notable event is the rivalry between Djarkel and Eania, the sparks of war that started over a simple rare metal vein on the border lands ending in the Black Wars of 1312 TE (Tiien Era, so at least a 1,312 years has pasted and eliminate most the remains of the modern world. Though doesn’t stop the knowledge from being remade or salvage through word of mouth.) resulting in Djarkel’s expansion and the capital shifted to New Sanguine.
-Currently, I think the date could be a bit higher then present which means over 2000 years at least have passed since the nukes.
