I'm in the middle of writing that post for Dirssi, but it is late, so I will need to finish it tomorrow. Also, Tyrael and Satori are still in the dining hall, right? Or at least nearby. I was thinking of having Ssarak, Meirin and the rest of that group end up in a fight nearby. They may require assistance, if the teachers, or perhaps some others, could lend it.

I think Tyrael left for Khan and Satori's still there though currently she's being a operator for everyone. There's NPCs, Abbadon, Xeric (a little drained compared to the others) and Frost at least.

I'm pretty sure the gods don't want to keep being cocks I am more so sure they are just being gods. Gods are assholes.

When you are charged with the entirety of the world and perhaps beyond it is very hard to make everyone happy let alone keep order through just means. Just look at the real world for example. Us humans are greedy, if someone kind comes along we will consume and abuse them till they are depleted, it's human nature. We do cruel things to others so out lives can be better.

If humans are like that then try adding a dozen other sentient species to the world. If you are a kind hearted god you will be consumed and abused, you will be drained of your energies because everyone is using you to further themselves. But if you are a mix of kind and cruel your energies life span has increased ten fold

No, that's not human nature. Human nature is to search for any alternative to hurting people in search of self-betterment before resorting to those things that do. It's a common misconception that humanity is cruel, because in the modern world, those in power are corporations. Corporations are almost always run by psychopaths, and it is a psychopath's nature to be cruel and manipulative for the purposes of self-betterment, which is why they run the corporations in the first place. They are the only ones with no apprehension as to what they'll do to win. However, most people who work for the corporations are governed by Human Nature, and that is to be kind and generous whenever you can, or at least feel bad when you do something that hurts others.

Although, the psychopath thing isn't quite spot on. Rather, increased wealth has a tendency to lead to decreased empathy. People tend to compare themselves to their peers, and since the peers of the wealthy are often other wealthy people, their perspective shifts into a small bubble of society that they have a hard time seeing out of.

There's been no significant evidence to support that increased wealth leads to decreased empathy, and, in fact, there have been several case studies of people with a large amount of wealth being more empathetic, such as the tendency of celebrities to help those in need through charities. The issue lies in corporations, and those are generally run by psychopaths. I would recommend The Psychopath Test by Jon Ronson for more info on the matter, it's a great read.

Be that as it may, ask yourself, what have we've done to really deserve their full love and adulteration? This would be the second time mortals would be allowed the gift of the gods after fixing the mortals mistakes. They may want to take a more backseat role just to see how the mortals act this time, under different circumstances. A test, if you will. What you perceive them as being "assholes" could also just very well be their own cynical belief thay mortals will once again fail their expectations. Demanding and aloof they may be, if we can rise to their challenges, they will think differently than before. With any luck, they may even see us in a positive light. But how can they show faith in us, if we do not give faith in them?
