There is one NPC vs NPC fight in the first round, so your math was right. That would let one person in, providing only one gets replaced. If we decide to go by that, then it comes down to who gets to replace the NPC.

Y'know I was considering making one of the Great Sage-school techniques be the ability to reassign points from Ki to other attributes temporarily while not actually altering your Power Level, but I dunno if that was too broken.

Or just draining points from one attribute to boost others with them, but the principle's the same and you'd still have the same amount in terms of power level.

I just wanna point out that Light has Chaos-Leech type damage. IE, damage that pierces defenses and heals her. I made it scale off her ki stat more than anything, and a very low number as well, just because of what it does. So unless that ability can affect others and give light massive life leech due to ki being increased, it would prob be ok.

Probably not. As one of the key skills of the style it would probably be something that has to be taught and can only affect yourself, since it's sort of an internal equivalent exchange. So you could temporarily lower your ki amount to gain more speed or strength or vice versa but the amount of power you possess doesn't actually change, just how its' expressed. If she was taught the technique she could maybe bolster her own ki with some other ability and increase it that way, but she would have to learn it first and if Guls figures it out he would probably refuse to teach her the technique.

Yeah, hopefully the site is as stable as it's been today on Boxing Day, since I doubt I'll be doing much posting tomorrow. ^^; Was busy today with preperations so didn't get much done today either. Oh well.

On that note, Merry Winter-Festival-of-Choice everyone!

Since I've gotten the go-ahead, I'm thinking it's me? Basic spectator observation stuff, so I'll get to work on that.

so for pvp fights, I think we should have those two players collab the fight. What do you guys think?

I don't think it should be mandatory, some people just aren't good with collabs.

Maybe, it just condenses what could be a 1-2 page fight into a single post where both people agree on the outcome and an outside moderator doens't have to jump in and say who wins when it goes on for more than a couple pages.

Yeah I've had to deal with that sorta thing, its not fun :(.

But if this wont happen, then I would have worried for nothing, lol.

Actually you could do it live like in a chat site. We always did fights like the between players. So then your able to talk outside the chat and collab with each other on what you wanna do then you just edit it all into one post.

Iv always found this a lot easier then post by post fighting.

Not doing collabs. Pretty much every time I've tried to do them they ended up as a mess, so not doing them. Think the best way to do PvP is to just agree beforehand who wins and RP it normally, since that's always worked out far better for me.

It doesn't help that I'm not a fan of humongous rambling posts, either, which is what always seems to happen during collabs.

It'll probably speed up soon enough. Just assuming things might be a bit slow on the site as a whole due to the time of year. XD I think at this point everyone's just waiting for the year to be over already.

@Rising Sun: Don't know how I missed an entire sheet. My bad. But Glacier is accepted without a fault.

On the topic of player fights, collaboration posts are not mandatory though I personally like them. Post-by-post fights present more opportunities for those not involved directly, but naturally take longer. The end result's quality is still the same so it is up to the two fighters. However, it is mandatory that the two players determine who will win the fight beforehand. If that cannot be done in an orderly manner, I will step in. Likewise, if it is between me and another player and we cannot decide who would win, I will force another player to be the third party to mediate that. This is to keep things fun and fluid so I hope this concept doesn't get abused or made a mockery of.

Name: Kouta
Age: (22)
Race: Human with Mystic Ancestry
Gender: Male

Power Level: 75/400
Stats
Strength: 70
Speed: 100
Endurance: 80
Ki: 150

Techniques

Name: All-Seeing Eye
Type: Enhancement
Description: The user's eyes glow with a mystical light, becoming attuned with their Ki. They enter a heightened state of awareness in which they can see and hear all around them with perfect accuracy. Their Ki sense also heightens, not only toward their surroundings but within themselves as well. In this state, the fighter can supposedly see all, through any illusion or deception. They also perceive incoming attacks at a much higher rate, allowing them to react with heightened speed and agility. His inward senses allow the fighter to launch his attacks at a fraction of their usual Ki, usually around half. This heightened state of awareness slowly drains the user's Ki as it remains active, eventually forcing them to revert from the state when most of their Ki has been used up.
Required Power Level: 100

Name: Howling Strike
Type: Ki
Description: The user focuses a great amount of his Ki into a single point of his body with which he uses to strike down his enemy. This usually takes the a form of a single punch or kick intended to be used as a finishing blow.
Required Power Level: 250

Name: Fangs of Death: Eight Points
Type: Combination
Description: The user strikes his enemy with weak, but precise, blows aimed for the target's pressure points. If used correctly, this can render the victim unable to use their limbs for a brief time. The power and accuracy of this technique is greatly enhanced when used in conjunction with the All-Seeing Eye.
Required Power Level: 250

Personality: Kouta is a tough nut to crack. On the one hand, he has a sense of justice and will not hesitate to fight in the name of it. On the other hand, his tribe's philosophy was practically forced upon him during childhood and he spent some years trying to distance himself from it and the world it was a part of, only to be inevitably drawn back in. Regardless, Kouta tries to remain the voice of reason in most situations, using a calm and analytical approach to problem solving. He tends to apply this to battle as well, often taking time to allow his opponent a few attacks in order to properly analyze their skill and devise a strategy for defeating them. As far as he's concerned, all the strength in the world means nothing if you lack the wisdom to use it properly.

History: Kouta was born to the mysterious Shi-Long Tribe. Living in a remote forest, the Shi-Long Tribe were said to be descendents of ancient Mystics who were supposedly responsible for teaching early humans how to use Ki. In ancient times, the Mystics were said to wage war with Demons, who supposedly ruled most of the world at the time. Outnumbered by the Demons, the Mystics decided to teach humans how to use Ki in order to gain an ally in their fight. From this, they allegedly defeated the Demons and banished most of them to the Makai Realm. The Mystics who fought alongside the humans stayed among them, and formed a union that eventually became the Shi-Long Tribe of today. The Shi-Long Tribe are, for the most part, demon hunters who search the world for stray Demons and other evil entities that have yet to be dealt with using the techniques taught to their ancestors by the Mystics. Their signature technique, the All-Seeing Eye, is the key to their success at tracking down Demons and piercing their deceptions.

Kouta himself grew up on these stories and legends, spent his childhood training in the martial arts and learning the sacred techniques of the tribe. But something about it just felt empty to him. Kouta found himself having no real aspiration for hunting demons and in his late teens he left the tribe, seeking to live a normal life in one of the cities. But destiny has a nasty habit of catching up to those who try to ignore its call. One night, while Kouta and his then-girlfriend Shino were sleeping, a demon appeared and murdered Shino, mistaking her for a demon hunter, meaning his intended target was Kouta. Grief-stricken and guilt-ridden, Kouta returned to Shi-Long village only to find it burned to the ground. Apparently a powerful Demon had attacked the village, exterminating its residents and then tracked down Kouta only to kill the wrong target.

The last of his breed now, Kouta began wandering the world in search of the Demon responsible for attacking the village and murdering Shino. And while he was at it, he decided to go ahead and hunt down anything else that needed killing, vowing to never let anyone be victimized again.
