If Asura and Stella aren't back soon, I might have to join another team.
That... could work. Most of his combat potential isn't dependent on his fitness. Perhaps start off with an arc where he starts to show potential as a hunter and possibly reconcile with his family. Then BAM, suddenly an injury paralyses him from the waist down or he loses a leg or something. I prefer dismemberment but I'll see what happens IC. This is actually a situation his family's okay with because scars earned in battle are proud ones etc. They suddenly switch to being warm and coddling albeit still with a condescending overtone. After a heart to heart talk with his team or something he comes to realise he can still do a lot of good on the front lines because hey with his semblance the footpedals are redundant (as are pretty much most manual controls, he originally designed Unsubtle for people without a semblance). That means he has the world's most lethal wheelchair and why not put that to good use? So he gives his family the proverbial finger and gets back in the saddle. Preferably just in time to play cavalry, let Aurellius surf Unsubtle into battle for a glorious Big Damn Heroes moment. You could go the extra mile and make him have a girlfriend who cheats on him when he has the accident, with some jock guy like Greyson or Jayden! Y'know... for the conflicts!
Let Aurellius surf Unsubtle into battle for a glorious Big Damn Heroes moment.Wait do we have a firefly fan in the house?

When it comes to pretty much all things sexual he's on the level of Sheldon Cooper... Also I have both browsed Tvtropes and watched Firefly. Volatile how so? I'm not gonna go frothing at the mouth if someone dislikes what I like or vice versa.
Jayden's gay. >_> At most, he'd be like, "What is this even?"That... could work. Most of his combat potential isn't dependent on his fitness. Wait.. We were supposed to base people off of mythological people? I get it, like they did in the show but I don't see Rakim fitting with someone right now.Not just myths, but Fairy Tales, as well. Think Cinderella or Donkeyskin or Humpty Dumpty. Or legends like Mulan, all the Arthurian tales, Mark Antony, Cleopatra, etc.
Which is why she's cheating on him. Haephestus was sexually inept and ugly and Aphrodite hated him for it, especially since she was in love with Ares when Zeus forced her to marry the limp dude. You could go the extra mile and make him have a girlfriend who cheats on him when he has the accident, with some jock guy like Greyson or Jayden! Then how come they're together in the first place? Also, bookface. That amuses me greatly for some reason. To prove his manliness? Maybe they were set up and neither particularly liked the idea? As far as I know, Hephaestus generally preferred contact with his automations, not the other Gods. Aphrodite was gifted to him for his loyalty but he couldn't exactly 'do the do' and thus, they had no children!
Zeus married Aphrodite off. You don't really argue with the King of the Gods who alleviates boredom by chucking lightning bolts around. But she cheated on Haephestus like a lot. There are a really lot of myths about it.I'm familiar with the myths (I somehow got a hold of some translations when I was 8 or so. Best books of my childhood.) I meant, how would Marcus get a girl given he has the romance skills of a Mesopotamian clay brick? EDIT: Ninjas!
Haephestus was only crap in bed because Zues threw him off Olympus. And then later invited him back and gave him his daughter, Aphrodite as an apology.Hephaestus was generally a confusing God. He seemed nice enough but just a little isolated then he just randomly tries to rape Athena?

He has a bloody tank, after all! Girls would be all over that!
Alternatively he is an extremely capable engineer. Make her a street racer. He gives her some help during a day off and turns her car into a proper race monster. Things can progress (downhill) from there.Or, Marcus is one of the up and coming dudebros at Beacon before his incident, so some popular gal goes with the status quo (she just wants the fame) And tries to get with him. After learning it was a terrible mistake, she decida to be uber fuck and cheats on him like a whole lot. And, when she fondly decides to break up with him, he goes and gets his leg dismembered and now if she does, not only will she ruin her reputation but she'll also be outcasting herself cause who the hell breaks up with a dude right after he loses a leg. So she stays with him out of pity and because she's still selfishly looking after her own hide and boom, you have a kind of arranged marriage deal, just with out the arranged and marriage part. Don't knock on my grammar and spelling up there. ;_; Totally am inept at writing when I'm using my phone.

Things can progress (downhill) from there.Yeah, that would probably work! I'm assuming she would be a NPC then? Edit: Oh darn, Six's idea sounds pretty damn snazzy! Maybe Marcus would know she really doesn't like him but he's too nice to try and get rid of her but obviously, when he discovers she was cheating on him, he would be pissed!
Hmm... A theme for Daniel... Well, other than his not-so-subtle hinting at the dragon, nothing much really springs to mind.I have the same problem. I don't even have a hint >.<
