Skyra returned to the gym main hall. "So where should we..." Her ears flattened to her head and tears welled up in her eyes. Figures... every time I meet somebody who I might befriend they leave... She turned around towards the wall and wiped away every sign of sadness. She couldn't be weak in public. She was a strong member of the Blue Fang, a peaceful Faunus rights group, who had been in conflict with the White Fang since their turn for violence.

She strut through the gym, duly noticing the presence of Ebon and Krys. Anybody who knew Skyra a bit and watched her walk could see her rigid movements which were extremely uncanny for the normally pretty flexible and agile girl. A long stretched out sigh left her mouth as she exited the gym and moved towards her dorm room where she just wanted to read and be alone now.

IC: Emerald

Emerald took a few tentative sips of the beer, it tasted awful, but if it would help with the horrible pounding in her head then it would be worth it. After that she crashed back into her own bed and stared at the ceiling for a solid five minutes.

Eventually her head stopped hurting so much and she started to feel alive again. It was Sunday, and there was a nearly endless amount of things she could decide to do with her time. She hopped off the bed and onto her feet, she wasn't gonna waste it lying around that was for sure.

There was only one thing left to do! She climbed back up onto her bed, stood up, and then started to jump. “Boing! Boing! Boing!” She was bouncing on her bed, she figured it was a great way to get the blood pumping, plus it was pretty fun. She started to use to her semblance with each jump, making her go higher and higher each time. Then her head hit the ceiling and she crashed into the bed. “Owwwww….”

Well that was enough of that, Emmy rubbed her head as she stumbled out of the room and into the hallway, she was still wearing just her tank top and shorts, but she didn’t care. It was Sunday, she didn’t need to be dressed for school today. She wandered down the halls for a bit until her ears picked up what sounded like fighting, it sounded like it was coming from where the gym was, according to her Scroll. She ran off in that direction to see what all the hubbub was about.

She wasn’t disappointed, as she entered the gym the first thing she noticed was Gren and some dude she’d never seen before going all out in some sort of duel. There were also flying robots that were shooting at Gren and by gods was that an explosion?!

Recognizing Diamond by her hat, Emmy ran up beside her to watch the fight. She bounced up and down and cheered. “Woooo! Let’s see some more explosions yeah!” This school was awesome.

Kuhaku Shiro - Practice Class Area

A swing of his sword, the whooshing sound of the blade cleaving the air followed by a solid thwack. A momentary pause, to catch his breath. His lungs burning as his chest heaved visibly. Another whoosh chased by another wood-splintering thwack as Kladenets' blade buried itself into the unmoving body of a wooden practice dummy. Sweat dripped and poured from Shiro's body as he went through his patented 'combat familiarity' training regimen. One hundred left to right horizontal slashes. One hundred right to left horizontal slashes. Whoosh-thwack. One hundred downward vertical slashes. One hundred upward vertical slashes. Whoosh-thwack. One hundred left to right downward diagonal slashes. One hundred right to left upward diagonal slashes. Whoosh-thwack. One hundred right to left downward diagonal slashes. One hundred left to right upward diagonal slashes. Whoosh-thwack. One hundred straight sword thrusts. Switch hands. Repeat. Every now and then a stray splinter of wood would break off and act as shrapnel. Bouncing off of Shiro's drenched body only harmlessly scratching his protective Aura. Once done with his sword swings he would go on to practice with Perun, his shield. The only difference being adding in one hundred bashes with the face of his shield. When complete with that, he combined his two weapons and formed them into their Great Axe mode to repeat his actions twice more.

Shiro started this training regimen at least once every few days before the sun would rise, taking hours to complete. It was nothing special, to be sure. But the beauty that lay in his little self-made program was in its simplicity. No matter what situation would arise, he would always be able to attack with either hand with any of his three weapons. The burning muscles of his body committing his motions deep into memory. He had done this training program of his a few times already since starting at Beacon. Though he wasn't sure if any of the Practice teachers mentioned anything about permitting students into the area after hours on the weekend, no one had ever said a thing to him. He always tried to clean up after himself, but he never knew what to do with the growing pile of wrecked wooden dummy targets or where to take them. Instead, every time he returned to the Practice area by himself, he found someone had already replaced the sad things with newer fresh targets for the slaying.

Though they were constructed of solid wood, they surely didn't compare to the hardness of a Grimm's hide and armor. Far from the realistic feel of cutting through a Grimm's body, but even still. With a cry, Shiro brought the head of his Great Axe straight down and cleaved straight through the final wooden kill of the morning. Its body shattering and splintering dramatically as Shiro did so. His body ached and was immensely sore, but as he ended his morning routine Shiro fell backwards in the grass with a thud. Laying sprawled out for a moment to let his body recuperate as his lungs struggled and strained to catch after his breath. A safe distance away, Scoot lay asleep in a neat pile of Shiro's clothing and a few toiletries. For a long morning practice like his, Shiro preferred to wear his dirty workout clothes with no food in his belly to make sure he had little energy to start with. After done, he always liked to shower and get a big breakfast before continuing on with the rest of his day/weekend. His breath sufficiently restored, Shiro clambered to his feet and shifted his weapons back into their more portable SnS [Sword & Shield] mode and slung them onto his back. As he padded through the grass towards his clothes and Scoot, he picked up his things and got ready to leave. The ferret rousing from his slumber with a quiet yawn.

Ever since returning from his mission days prior, Shiro had remained distant from his other teammates. Occasionally, he would poke his head into the infirmary to check on his leader. But, he always made sure to never let her notice and never stayed curious for long. His original intentions to recover his leader's daggers never came to fruition. Instead, he made sure to seal away the plan for a later date and time. The only time he was ever in his team's dormitory was for sleeping late at night. Funny enough, though the tiger-boy enjoyed the company of others and thriving off of other people's energy in social interactions, he also enjoyed some time alone to himself. His weekend plans were always dull whenever he was alone, however. Not much doing except training, working out, eating, sleeping, and maintaining his weapons.

"I need a hobby."
Maybe he would look into getting a replacement Scroll and get some music onto it.
Or something to play video games on.
"Should probably ask Gren about that. He should have some ideas."
Shiro laughed as he made his way back to Beacon proper, namely the shower facilities.
"Aw, the lug would probably even make me something to play video games on, knowing him."

In nothing but comfortable shorts, worn sneakers, and a long sleeved top that covered his arms Shiro cherished the idea of a nice, warm shower to wash off all the dirt and gallons of sweat he excreted. A slight smile on his face. Scoot crawled onto the sweaty boy's shoulders and curled back up into a ball as he rode shotgun. "Oh, right. Gotta remember to fix up my gear, too." He had forgotten last time, receiving splinters in his hand for his troubles.

Gren Orchid

Gren both both hands into his slash, hoping to bash against Ebon's shield until he fell onto his knees. But the human parried the blow off to the side and left Gren in a precarious position. And because of it, he ate the corner of Ebon's shield. Almost literally at that, as the corner of the shield rammed into Gren's face plate. "Ha! You activated my trap card!"

Knowing there were R-Types coming in to perforate him however, Gren needed to do something fast. Releasing one hand from The God eater Gren grabbed onto Ebon's shield and pressed it against Gren's own body. He then used his semblance to increase the friction he was putting onto the shield, and how much it was being put onto him, to effectively get the shield stuck onto Gren's body. Seeing some of the R-Types about to do a fly-by Gren used his strength to pull Ebon in the path of his own attack.

@Forsythe
Krysthane shrugged thoughtfully, "I don't see why not, my money's on Ebon, though perhaps I have a bit of favoritism here. If I win you give me that bag of chips." She said gesturing at it as she watched the fight. It seemed thing were just getting interesting, it should be fun to see the end result.

"Was planning to eat that while we watch. Tell you what, you win I pay up another one, you lose you pay up this one." Diamond shrugged, jsut as the guy she was betting on said a horrible one liner. "Come on! Trap card? Who plays that crap!" She complaiend out loud as she summoned a shadow knife and sliced the bag of chips open, offering some to the company.

A second later Diamond gave up on trying to ignore her kitten issue. The gods just wouldn't let it rest. Oh well, might as well do some more recon. "'Morning!" the thug waved at her teammate before she noticed the kitten didn't quite bother changing out of her pajamas, "Or... not quite, I see. How's the head?" she chuckled.

"Tough bastard..." Ebon thought when Gren seemed largely unphased about getting rammed in the face. He didn't even seem dazed as he was still lucid enough to start pulling Ebon around by his shield. He fought against him at first knowing that Gren intended to throw Ebon into his R-Types or just use him as a shield. It wouldn't work as Ebon would just make the R-Types hold their fire. But thinking on his feet Ebon decided to let Gren pull him to the side. He only did this after putting up a bit of a fight so Ebon would have the momentum to counter Gren.

When Gren pulled Ebon in the path of his R-Types Ebon landed with both his feet braced onto the floor, and than he put both his hands onto the handles of The Kingdom, and pressed his shoulder for extra leverage. Before the R-types flew by Ebon used a combination of his raw strength and his semblance, Mind of Matter, to lift his shield into the air above him along with Gren. Ebon might not be as strong as Gren when it comes to raw strength, but he was strong enough to lift him into the air if he's using his telekinesis to ease the burden.

"Eat this!" As Ebon held Gren above his head, Squad 1 and 2 converged to attack Gren while he was still stick to The Kingdom. Squad 1 unleashed a rain of laser bullets against Gren, splitting off before they crashed into him. And at this point Squad 2 was starting to dive down at Gren and unleashed their fully charged Wave Cannon. It was a solid beam of energy went strait towards Gren, with enough force and power to cause an explosion. Three of them, one from each of Squad 2 R-Type firing their Wave Cannon. Good thing Ebon was underneath his shield, because this is going to hurt.

"Shite!"

Gren never thought that he'd be the one to get lifted into the air. Though it was his mistake in thinking that just because Ebon was smaller than Gren, that he was too weak to pull off something like this. When Gren's feet were lifted into the air he reflectively put more power into his Semblance to maintain his hold onto the shield but that proved to be a bad idea. Gren could only manage to get The God Eater in a position to shield him from the hail of bullets when he was blasted by the explosive laser beams. Dust and smoke kicked up from the attack, causing a good deal of damage to the area around the two fighters. But before the dust could settle, there was laughter.

Looking at his Aura levels on his HUD, Gren was at 47%. That attack knocked off a good 40%, and the rest Gren lost from a combination of getting shot at as well as his rocket jump from before. He wasn't sure what Ebon's level was, but so far Gren has yet to get a good hit on him. He was about to change that. Slamming the front of the God into into the ground, Gren switched it into it's Destruction form and started firing bullets into the ground while holding onto Ebon's shield with the help of his semblance. With one hand and both of legs making contact with his shield, Gren was firmly in place.

The sheer recoil from Gren firing the Gatling portion of The God Eater was enough to lift both Gren and Ebon off the ground and into the air. Gren steered their direction by swinging The God Eater in the appropriate direction, and ocne he was going vaguely skywards Gren released his Friction from his legs, leaving it only to his hand. Then, with only a few seconds left and only using one arm, Gren pulled Ebon above him, putting his opponent between Gren and the ceiling.

"I would appreciate any help you can give, though I suppose we could get lunch first." Cian said with a small smile pleasantly surprised at his willingness to help. "So what you were doing all this time than?" She decided to take front and try to start a conversation with Jack after all since he was willing to help they would probably be there for awhile so might as well have some conversation going than silence all the time. Still she supposed looking out she couldn't help but wonder what exactly made her feel the need to agree to him helping.

Having solved her dilema about Cheese, and gathered a bag full of wrapped Cheese for her new friend Skyra, she returned to the Gym, only to find it was devoid of the Cat faunus she had met earlier. Plus, she seemed rather worried that she smelled back, which implied good hygine, so she must have taken a shower after working out, which would have dulled her scent down so Mokuren could not track her by it. It only then occured to her that suddenly leaving without an explanation could be seen as a bad omen, so the Skyra Girl might be feeling rather upset. Still, if that was the case, then Mokuren had to find her, if only to apologise before leaving again. She didn't want to push - as little as she knew, Mokuren was positive that pushing led to problems - but she also didn't want to leave anything on such a low note. But, the only person she, being a nutjob, could think of knowing where Skyra would be was Ozpin. Because he was smart, and knew everything.

So, without further thought, not that there was much thought to begin with, Mokuren set off in the direction of Ozpin's office, not really caring about what obsticles she might find in the way, but determined to get over them. Skyrea was the first one who didn't seem entirely on edge with Mokuren, and she didn't want to ruin that with a misunderstanding. The whole 'having a friend' thing might even be fun, in the long run.

Oswald Connolly- Beacon Academy grounds.

Exhaling every second time his left foot hit the ground, Oswald reveled in the sensation of the air hitting his face and pushing his short hair about. As he ran, he was exerting significantly more effort than the average runner would, being weighted down by about fifty pounds of training gear. Several students turned their heads to watch the muscular black-haired huntsman-in-training run by wearing what appeared to be a large, poofy sweater and oddly tight sweat pants.

While he would admit that he looked downright silly in his gear, the results were ones nobody could argue with. Oswald's physique could be compared to an Ursa's, really. While he wasn't as large, he was of similar proportions to the ursine Grimm.

Once his run was finished, Oswald showered and prepared himself for the day, heading to the cafeteria to eat a large breakfast, as befit him.

Gren Orchid VS. Ebon Umbranox
THE WHEEL OF FATE IS TURNING
REBEL 1
ACTION!

"Geh, just how much can you take!?" Ebon grunted out as he was suddenly getting lifted into the air. His R-Types moved in to intercept, but all they could really try to do is shoot Gren down. And he was flying too erratically for the Wave Cannons to make contact so all they really did was blow a hole into the ceiling. Ebon knew that Gren intended to crush him between his body and the ceiling, and with his death grip on The Kingdom, Ebon couldn't really fight back. He felt his body slam against the ceiling and was certain something might have been broken. But he wasn't out of the fight yet. With Gren pushing him against the ceiling Ebon could still get his R-Types to converge on Gren and shoot him full of holes. This time Squad 1 and 2 switched roles, with Squad 2 peppering Gren with laser bullets while Squad 1 charged their Wave Cannons.

Gren was taking chop damage from the R-Types. He suspects that their small-arms fire only made up a total of 5% of the damage to his aura, with some of it coming from his rocket jump, and the rest of it from getting hit by the Wave Cannon. One thing was for certain, if Gren couldn't go on the defensive than he needed to avoid those Wave Cannons at all cost. Sure most of the damage came from the fact that he was unable to effectively protect himself from the attack, but regardless it was strong enough to leave a dent in his Aura. Feeling Ebon's body crunch against the ceiling Gren wasn't finished. "Time to bring you down to earth!"

Seeing a few R-Types incoming Gren stopped shooting The God Eater just long enough to aim it at the ceiling. Then he fired again, propelling him strait towards the ground. He still carried Ebon's shield in his hand and this time, he aimed Ebon towards the ground to crush him between the floor and Gren.

The R-types couldn't get a clear shot at Gren, not without wasting power trying to intercept him. It was a dangerous game of chicken as they tried to get in front of Gren as he descended, but with Ebon in front of him the best they could do is try to trail after him. Ebon wasn't sure if he could survive the next landing, knowing that he was as good as dead if he let Gren land on him. The R-Types were doing their damnest to get a clear shot at Gren, but with only seconds to spare Ebon just wasn't sure what to do. Then he had an idea.

He let go of The Kingdom and went into a free fall. Squad 1 moved in to intercept Ebon, allowing him to balance his feet and hands on the miniature ships. They had to avoid Gren's gunfire, but it was better than getting flatten.

Gren landed in a huge crater, but noticed that his opponent was no longer underneath him. For a moment he feared that he turned Ebon into paste. Only, he looked up and saw him flying above him using his R-Types. This earned a smile from Gren. "Still got your heads in the clouds eh? No problem. I'll send you flying!" Slamming the God Eater onto his back Gren took to the air once again, dodging and weaving between the bullet hell to get into melee range of Ebon. Without his shield Gren could easily deal with him in a close-range brawl, so long as he take into account Ebon's R-Types. Checking his aura levels, Gren was now down to 40%. Another 20% or so and he'll be down to read.

Gren was flying towards Ebon, but he knew better than to let Gren get close. As long as he didn't get behind Gren either Ebon could just let his R-Types take him out. Admittedly however Ebon wasn't quite use to flying like this. Or at all for that matter. What he was doing was completely improvised and he had to put a lot of concentration to make sure each of his R-Types were distributing his weight equally while also holding on for dear life. One thing Ebon was certain though: Was fast as Gren was his mobility was horrible. Strait paths with some curves were all he could do considering that his gatling gun was his means of proportion. Like fighting a bull only needed to worry about getting out of the way before impact.

Giving one of Squad 1 R-Types to Squad 2 Ebon carefully moved himself out of Gren's path the best he could. He had Squad 2, the R-Types not currently trying to carry Ebon, carefully tail Gren. Since the machine was being used to propell Gren through the air being behind him risked getting shot up. Eventually Ebon knew that the only way the R-Types would get a clean shot at Gren would be if they intercepted him from the front. Like some twisted form of jousting, Squad 2 had to maneuver themselves to fly towards Gren as he was charging towards Ebon, occasionally unleashing a Wave Cannon in Gren's face.

Gren himself made full use of his new found speed and did not hesitate to land on the ceiling, floor, or walls to redirect his path. not only that but when he did land he would root himself to the spot using his semblance and fire a slavvo of bullets and rockets at Ebon. As the bullets flew faster they were the only ones that actually were shot in his direction. For the rockets Gren used Proximity explosives rather than impact. This way they didn't need to hit Ebon for them to blow up. And Gren was constantly moving, shooting bullets or rockets from each position for a few seconds before flying off to another location to attack Ebon.

Without his shield Ebon was having a hard time defending himself, as he couldn't move fast enough with his R-Types to avoid Gren's assault. Ebon was going to try to use range tactics against Gren but when his opponent did the same Ebon was in a pinch. Without The Kingdom Ebon's defenses were severely cut. So he had to go get it. Between the attacks Ebon moved towards The Kingdom. If he could get to it then he could fend off against any attacks and resume the fight.

But Gren knew what Ebon was going for. As soon as Ebon started taking some hits Gren knew he needed his shield and would try to go for it. So when he saw Ebon make a break for his shield Gren too rocketed towards him. The R-Types were getting quite annoying chipping away his aura with their attacks, and he could hardly make the time to take them out. But all he needed to do was go after Ebon and win this fight. As Ebon got closer Gren got faster, and right before he impacted Gren switched The God Eater into it's Terror form where it roared to life, and brought the weapon down into Ebon.

It always seemed like the biggest decisions were made in seconds. Knowing that Gren was coming in hot Ebon knew that he couldn't run to The Kingdom in time to not get hit by Gren. And at this point Ebon was starting to get worn down. First he got crushed against the ceiling, then he got blasted with rockets and bullets, and not it looked like Gren was going to finish the job with his chainsaw. But Ebon had one more trick up his sleeve, one attack that would either be all for naught or win the fight. His R-Types started to fall to the ground as Ebon focused his Mind of Matter onto the Kingdom and flung it towards Gren, with the same force and resistance as if Ebon was behind the shield himself.

But it was all for naught. Gren landed on the shield boot first. And without the R-types bothering him Gren was bale to walk over the shield and jump onto Ebon. He dig The God Eater into Ebon's shoulder and let it rip, tearing through his aura and armor. He only stopped after he spent five seconds letting The God Eater rip into Ebon's shoulder, before he let it to hover above Ebon's face. "Nice try." The God Eater soon went silent as Gren sheathed it into his back. He extended his hand out for Ebon to take.

Breathing lightly Ebon groaned slightly. His first real fight and he lost. "Well hell." Ebon laid there for a short while before Gren came over to help him up. He got up and looked at his shoulder. Fortunately his Aura protected him from the worst of it but his shirt was pretty messed up. Picking up the Kingdom and bringing his R-Types back into it Ebon was going to turn to leave, but not before tossing Gren his money. Then he started walking back to his dorm to change and rest up.

Gren took his money and checked his Aura. "22%. It's always a clutch huh? Well whatever. Now time to find the W.A.R." Gren gathered his things and walked towards the exit of the Gym.

"Uhhh... Well", he began, as Cian inquired on what he was doing. The bags of prizes with the game arcade's logo on them should've given that away. He looked to the bags for a moment before finally turning back to Cian and saying,

"Fun, I guess, I was at the arcade", he shrugged. As for lunch, he had no idea... So he was probably going to go to try the first thing that he saw that fancied him, which happened to be an Italian restaurant on this side of Vale. The two seated themselves there and began to order, Jack ended up ordering one of the more interesting dishes from the menu for himself though.

"So, do you have a look in mind? You can't go clothes shopping and getting a haircut without having a look in mind... Or else you'll be out all day... But yeah, personally your current look is fine, maybe just get hair clips to keep the hair out of your eyes instead?", he offered his advice, as they waited for their orders.

"I have a idea on what I want in mind in terms of clothes that shouldn't be to hard to get. Beyond that the haircut is mainly for my peace of mind I find myself unsure on if even with hairclips that my hair might slip out or it might get broken in battle."
Cian said as she answered the main question. "Beyond that is probably the only thing I was searching for at the moment though for the clothes I am planning on getting them made of sturdier material than my previous clothes and jacket." She mentioned off hand as she took a small sip of a glass of water that was placed for them. "So I see you had a pretty successful trip at the arcade." She continued pointing towards the bags of plush toys that was on the ground next to his chair.

"Yeah." he replied, increasingly full of an uncomfortable grimace. He felt all kinds of mixed messages here. Was she just annoyedly humoring him? Looking to pass the time too? Putting him on the spot and making it as one-sided a conversation as possible for her own amusement?

Not that it really was one yet...

No, he couldn't let things drop off like this. As the man who started the conversation, it was his duty to see it through! To stick to his guns! He offered small talk, and if it was on him to pass that time for the two of them alone, so be it! She accepted the invitation, and so help him, he would deliver!

"Any plans?" He asked off-handedly, brushing his own lengthening bangs a bit past his normally concealed left eye.

Gratia Mindaro - Beacon Airship Dock

"Getting on a fucking airship."

Despite the vulgar phrasing, the teenaged Huntress' tone betrayed none of the frustrations and abrasiveness that would have usually accompanied such a statement. Her impatience continued to bubble underneath her composure, but it had yet to spill over into this shitty excuse of a conversation with the boy standing behind her. Humouring his half-hearted attempt at engaging in small talk with her happened to be, in hindsight, a difficult activity to keep up. Gratia was not particularly fond of talking to the idiotic masses that filled the human city-states of Remnant; a lot of the time they would spout nothing but absolute balderdash.

"Guess you are as well."

Her next statement was just as understated as the first, but there was a slightly dry aspect to her tone this time. She was evidently annoyed at the entire situation, with the fucking airship still yet to arrive and take her down to whatever shitty stores the city of Vale possessed, though her solemn, impassive appearance had yet to change dramatically, the only sign that she found the entire endeavour a fucking waste of time being a change in her posture, the weight of her body moving from her left leg to the right.

IC: Emerald

Emerald watched the fight with interest, it was getting really intense now, Gren had stuck himself to Ebon’s shield, which seemed pretty crazy. Though Diamond’s inquiry drew her attention away from the fight and to the hat wearing thief’s.

“Well…the hangover is gone, but then I banged my head on the ceiling so now it hurts again.” She shrugged. “And I say pajamas should be for any time of the day.” She was a firm believer in that. Emmy glanced at the other girl standing with them, she didn’t recognize her, then again there was a lot of people she didn’t know yet.

Emmy turned her attention back to the fight, it seemed to be coming to the end now. Ebon put everything on telepathically throwing his shield at Gren. But the boar faunus simply stepped over it like it was nothing as his weapon became a freakin chainsaw and dug into Ebon’s shoulder, ending the match. Emmy let out a cheer.

“Yeah! Score for the Faunus woo!”

"Hell yeah I did, when I found out they had Grimm made into plush toys I just went to town. I think I'm fairly skilled", modest yet not modest was his tone here, but he turned back to Cian's concerns though. Sturdier material...? The coat he wears to battle was given to him by the previous owner in his home city, and it's plenty sturdy. Well, what he was wearing wasn't that, but in any case... He did know a place.

"Oh, so you're shopping for battle gear. In that case, I might know a place. I still need to pick my coat up from that place too", the last mission only put a few bullet holes in his coat's tails, so the repairs were cheap and quick, he still had to pick them up though.

"We can ask them if they can make you some new battle gear", he actually almost forgot to pick his coat up today... Would've been awkward if he forgot to up until the next mission...

"Hey, maybe they can even make special hairclips..."

"Score for me!" Diamond grinned, stretching an open palm in Krysthane's direction, "Pay up. Nice doing business with you." She said with a cheeky smile.

Turning back to Emmy she looked at the cat faunus questioningly, raising one eyebrow: "Care to enlighten a mere mortal how did you manage to hit your head on the ceiling?" she inquired, "And hey, this is the big city now! You dress up, and when you go to take a walk, you leave the saw and hatchet at home you hick!" she smiled, giving the kitten a joking punch on the shoulder.

As it turned out, the KESS dorm was not unoccupied. In typical fashion, Sepia had gotten up at the crack of dawn to take a run, done so for about 45 minutes, come back to the dorm intending to stay up for once, and promptly fallen asleep face down on her bed. Still in her running clothes and only under her Nevermore-printed throw, her face was inches away from a rather wicked-looking sewing needle.

She'd fallen asleep stitching. This was not unusual, as the number of earings she could wear at once was a testament to how often she had rolled over onto "Ms. Stabby".

Blissfully aware of the situation, Sepia curled up tighter. The needle grazed her nose. She sneezed.
