Most people don't really notice having their minds read anymore then they could notice someone listening to them. And yes, Ebon isn't standing too far away, at least not far enough not to hear Gren. I'm actually debating having Ebon jump over the cliff just to stop hearing Gren talking.
Sapphire's more paranoid than most people and she had a tendency to take stock of who's listening to her. I'm still dubious about Ebon having both Telepathy and Telekinesis but I got overruled on that one so.
Well in my next post Ebon just glared at Sapphire for some reason, so if you want to have her take notice feel free. It'll even give Shiro some time to find those daggers before he does.

He won't actually find it until @Prince of Seraphs dictates that he does.
The first two would get to the junk pile before Shiro does since they don't have a problem with the currents, but that's before Ebon remembered he didn't know what he was looking for. By the time the second two arrive Shiro would be in the middle of texting. Unfortunately his R-Types don't have darkvision, so they have to use a searchlight. Shiro should be able to see them, if not because of his night vision, then because they have a bright light to scan the bottom of the lake.
Exactly what is the range on Ebon's R-Types? He controls them through his semblance right? That lake isn't exactly small and I don't know anyone else that has a semblance that has plus a hundred meters of range.
Ebon has a limited range where he can affect objects initially, but he can extend them out of his range when he concentrates solely on them. That's why he had to drop the first two R-Types because they were well out of his effective range. If, say for example, someone came up to him right now while he's searching the bottom of the lake his concentration would break instantly and he'd lose two R-Types. Further ranges makes it even harder for him to focus, but potentially assuming nothing is disturbing him he can go quite a bit. It's why Scout is his secondary class type.
Effective range of his Telepathy and Telekinesis: 50ft away from him. Furthest away on a sole object with absolute focus: One mile.
And that doesn't seem a bit excessive to anyone? I was rather against him having both telekinesis and telepathy but if that also have that type of extreme range aren't we going a little overboard here?
There are limitations beyond the first 50 feet: He can't use his semblance on anything outside of it, and he still needs to see it first before he can start affecting them. Things within the first 50 just means he can control them while both fighting and moving without worrying about his R-Types just dropping out of the air because someone is whaling on him. Things beyond that are harder to control especially if there's something in his face.
Plus his semblance, currently, is very reliant on sight. If you say, put a blindfold on him, his semblance is essentially disabled. He can't even use it in the dark. Only his R-Types he can use without looking at them (Otherwise he'd never get them out of the Kingdom), and even they still need to be within his first effective range.
Now knowing what he's looking for Ebon had the Midnight Eye R-Type scan for daggers matching the description of Sapphire's dagger. It wasn't long before he found a couple of white-bladed weapons, but not all of them matched the description. But on the off chance that one might be her dagger, Ebon had his R-Types grab the white light blades and put them into a pile. He'll have them fished out once he gathers all the ones he finds.
I might not have been exactly clear before and for that I apologize but most if not all of the metal that falls into the lake is collected by a scavenger Grimm that lives in the cave next to where the mound of metal it located. Not much escapes this particular Grimm and that stuff that does is generally carried off by underwater currents into an underground stream system that stretches for miles. Bottomline is that the lake floor wouldn't be littered with daggers. Also stuff like this doesn't fall off the cliffs that often. The treasure pile Shiro is looking at is years worth of lost jewelry, weapons lost during training, stuff that's fallen off of airships or fallen from the airdocks. Years worth, it's not like the lake is a giant refuse pit.

How exactly does he control something a mile away if his semblance is sight based? Also what makes his R-Types different from anything else. And if he "can't use his semblance on anything outside" his 50 foot range how does he control things up to a mile away?
This is my way of having Ebon help, but yes. He's going to do this to blackmail Shiro.
Heck, you can have Seraph torture Shiro if you'd want. Ebon is just going to keep looking for those daggers while you fight for your life, and take them while you're busy. And even if Shiro somehow survives he'll never find those daggers because Ebon will have them.
I'm not an expert on this by any means but uh...pretty sure you start getting the teacher's involved at that point and risks of getting expelled if the target of the blackmail does the logical thing and tells on you.
And telepathy well, unless the other person is a telepath the only way to hear their thoughts is to get inside their head. Having an entirely different person poking around in somebody's head is bound to catch their attention.

I'll revise my post to reflect this.

If he is already focusing on it he can take it out of the 50ft range, like what he's doing with his new R-Types. Like I said before, the reason he had to use two new different R-Types from The Kingdom instead of the ones already in the lake is because they're out of his effective range after he stopped concentrating on them to read Sapphire's mind. Once he already has them focused however, like when he sent the first two into the lake, he can take it much further away. Once he switches to something else like Sapphire, he needs to use the other R-Types within his current range.
The reason he has a 50ft range is how far he can keep his mind multitasking on both his R-Types and his surroundings. Unlike most puppet-masters he can fight just fine in a melee while having his R-types move around and shoot as long as they're 50ft close to him. But once they're past it they'll either drop because they're too much of a pain to concentrate one, or Ebon will have to start dividing more of his attention to them as well as to whatever is going on around him, which could be risky depending on what's going on.
As for how his R-Types are different, it's by machine each are made with: Ebon has a unique sort of machine that responds to his telepathic Semblance as a sort of "Beacon", making it easier for him to detect them. It's something of a blessing and a curse: With it he can use his Semblance with his R-Types easily, but it also limits what sort of R-Types he could make since they'll all be based around this device. I intend to have Ebon eventually hone his Semblance to the point that he won't need these devices anymore and could use it on any object he's aware of the location of. And he would know where the R-Types in the Kingdom are.
Name: Estellise Sidos Heurassein Nuit (Or just Estelle).
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Race: Faunus (Great Horned Owl)
Estelle features the eyes of a Great Horned Owl and can turn her neck an approximate two hundred and seventy degrees around, being able to see completely behind her without moving her torso. This is compared to a regular human's range of mobility in rotation ranging around 60-80 degrees.
Weapon:
Coup De Foudre is typically a regular blade, retractable and carrying it's own sheath. However it sports a dust loader when loaded with electric dust can shoot out lightning. However, it's low dust capacity and the great deal of dust it takes to create lighting, it can only hold one to two charges. This is further complicated by design. To load dust into the sword one must first sheathe it, the compartment being where the sheath lies dormant while the blade is out. Typically however, Estelle uses the lighting dust to simply imbue the blade with electricity, instead of use it as a projectile, this is much more efficient on dust.
Specialty: Estelle finds herself in an odd position of being both a warrior and gunslinger. She can use her semblance to great effect in a one on one bout, throwing out heavy swings and moving swiftly. However she can also use Coup De Foudre to accomplish long range attacks. Even without her semblance, Estelle has been trained by the best and has always put a large focus on swordsmanship. She can duel with the best of them and destroy anyone else.
Semblance: Après Moi, La Déluge (After me, the flood):
Estelle's semblance is a powerful one, giving her control over the weight of objects she is in direct physical contact with as long as she has direct physical contact with said object. This includes her own body as well as her clothes. As a senior student, Estelle has a very highly tuned degree of control over her semblance. By using this semblance it can give Estelle the appearance of having incredible strength and agility. She is able to momentarily increase the weight of an object drastically, for example a blade mid swing. Or can decrease the weight of something just the same, say a vehicle blocking her path. For most things she touches, this wouldn't help her in combat. As no one can swing a blade that weighs a ton.
However as long as Estelle is able to channel her aura around an object she is able to swing it as if it weighed only a single pound. This however has various limitations and drawbacks. The first drawback is that by utilizing Estelle's aura on her blade, making it usable and also weigh an immense amount of weight to others who happen to touch it, she puts herself at risk. A hunter or huntresses best defense is their aura and without it, they leave themselves wide open for an attack. This can become especially troublesome in an organized match as it would appear Estelle is draining her own strength in order to combat her opponent, this is why it is vytal vital that Estelle end matches of this fashion quickly.
The second limitation comes from Estelle's own energy. Aura is not limitless and while it is being channeled around Estelle's blade it is seeping away. This requires Estelle to pick and choose when to use her semblance instead of using it all the time.
The third and perhaps most important limitation comes from the speed at which Estelle can properly cover an object in her aura. To channel Estelle's sword in aura, it takes all of three seconds past the point in time it has been unsheathed. However a larger object, like the car used in an earlier example, could take anywhere from one minute to five depending on the size of the vehicle. The longer it takes for Estelle to utilize her semblance the longer she is available for counterattack.
Personality:
From the minute Estelle came into the world of Remnant, she was looked upon as perfect. She was born into a perfect home, with perfect health, even little baby Estelle had a perfect smile. All that came to meet her were confounded that such a lovely baby had been born. They stopped visiting little Estelle around the time Bianca was born. Most asked Estelle if she were envious of her baby sister, but Estelle couldn't care less. Growing up, Estelle never wanted the family fortune, nor did she want to have to put her best foot forward every time she met another relative she would only see at large family gatherings and weddings. She would much rather learn to duel, become a huntress, save people, do some good in the world. So of course, Bianca followed suit.
Estelle found it easy, swordplay came natural to her and her semblance was perfect for combat. She grew cockier and cockier. She stopped showing up for training, found herself wanting to try and live on the edge more and more. She would defeat her sister in all of their practice matches. Estelle used to be known as a conceited bitch, they eventually dropped the fact that she was conceited. However, it's funny how one forgets how the world turns when they don't share experiences with those closest to them.
Everyone knew Bianca was a Faunus. There was no way to hide it, she had wings the size of her. But Estelle, while still a faunus, was free from the same public scorning and vindication that her sister received. It wasn't until Estelle turned 16, Bianca was but a twelve year old girl. They were walking through the streets in Mistral. Well Estelle was walking, Bianca was floating, that was her thing. They were walking/floating through the streets when Bianca was struck, publicly humiliated by the words of a group of young Hunters. The perks of having a wealthy and affluent family is that things get buried for you, people forget. But Estelle was not forgiven, no one forgot.
She was allowed to keep her family name, but that was about it. Bianca was sent to Beacon five years later and Estelle attended Haven. They ran separate circles for a while. Estelle's 21st birthday was celebrated at her mother's funeral. Bianca returned home from Beacon, told Estelle that being a huntress wasn't worth missing out on each other's lives.
She spent that night on her balcony, with a shot glass that just never seemed to empty. She would glance up at the stars, look for guidance, something perhaps. She would always look at the North Star, it was her guiding light, the brightest in the sky. While Bianca had returned she had filled her sisters head with stories of Beacon, and Estelle couldn't really reciprocate with Haven. It wasn't that Haven was a worse school. But it just didn't feel right. Her father filled out the papers the next morning, and before long Estelle was following her northern star, her shining light, her beacon.
Estelle is a woman that follows her own thoughts. She does not subscribe to group think and she would rather die than not stand up for what she believes in. She has been known to be abrasive since the minute she could speak and has been noticed to like a small group of loyal comrades as opposed to popularity. She watches films as a past time and tends to enjoy doing well in classes, just the satisfaction of a small victory that must send some kind of pleasure to her mind. She is all business in a fight, doesn't really smack talk just focuses on the task at hand. She doesn't mind helping out younger students but she wouldn't want a prodigé. Estelle keeps to herself, but she's a book that can be opened.
She sometimes coos in her sleep, somewhat like an owl and if people pet her she loves it. She will never disclose that information, however.

I just finished this, please let me know which parts I need to fix, otherwise she's done. Anyone's opinions and concerns are welcome. For any confused, she is a new senior student taking Panette's(??) place in the former team JSSC.
I'm not an expert on this by any means but uh...pretty sure you start getting the teacher's involved at that point and risks of getting expelled if the target of the blackmail does the logical thing and tells on you.

Ebon may or may not actually black mail Shiro. At this point he is looking for Sapphire's daggers with the intent on using them for his own gain, which may involve black mailing Shiro. Or just calling finders-keepers.
And to me telepathy is much like hearing someone talk: All you have to do is listen. You can whisper to try to hide it, but that implies you know someone is trying to listen. Most people aren't aware of telepaths since they don't go around making it obvious someone is listening in on their thoughts. And as long as Ebon doesn't actually try to speak back, most people wouldn't notice he's listening in unless they actually notice him.
It may be obvious since he has to look at them, but would you really think that everyone that looks at you is reading your mind? Ebon glares at people all the time anyways.
